Kevin was excellent- our pizza was very late coming out but he handled it great and did not charge us for it. We will of course be back on our next visit
Went here on our first night in NOLA. Chose it based on the closeness to our hotel and the positive reviews. Overall a very disappointing dinner. First off we waited for bread to arrive at our table which never happened. Then we ordered the Octopus Carpaccio, Clam pizza and Rabbit / mushroom pasta. None of them were very good. The Carpaccio was tasteless for the most part. The only thing that had flavor was the occasional chili flake on the arugula. The pizza was the best of the worst. Mostly tasted like garlic and butter. The pasta was mushy and had a bad flavor. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this place.
Really enjoyed dining experience at Domenica. Outstanding service and delicious food from the pizzas to the chicken! The fudge espresso cookies at the end are yummy. However, If you can save room for dessert, their chocolate hazelnut dessert is one of the best desserts in the city! Worth every calorie.
Loved it! Our waiter was fantastic as well.
Molly provided us with exceptional service tonight! Everything was fantastic and our business guests loved their meals!
One of our favorites in New Orleans. Domenica has a great atmosphere and great food. We love the decor and casual elegance of the dining room. The bar is also a very nice option if it is just the two of us. On this occasion, we had a large group and we had a wonderful time.
Location of restaurant selected since we were staying in hotel.
We had an excellent dinner - food was superb. Only improvements would be service (kinda slow and kinda push out the door). Otherwise, we will definitely return. Need to make reservation WELL in advance to get a normal eating time.
Food was very good.
Always a favorite. Super happy hour deal 2 to 5.
Great food. Great waiter. Great time. Would definitely recommend for every trip to New Orleans.
This is a great place for dinner. Superb staff. Delicious and innovative menu. Loved that you could get the same option in small/ large plates. Out of this world in-house made bread and butter. Savory beignets. You would never know this restaurant was in a hotel. Highly recommend!
Great location. Server Molly could not have been more attentive. Staff are very well treated and it shows. We had two dinners there-food excellent both times. A great treat!
Initial reception was haughty and unwelcoming as if we had no business being there. It was late, we had a reservation and no good alternative so we waited until we were taken to a table. At that point everything changed - service and food were excellent.
Everything on the menu is pure deliciousness. Highly recommended. A++ service and food
Food and service was excellent.. the noise level was beyond loud.
We loved the decor this place screams “chic” with black walls, high end, avant-garde lighting and massive, complex postmodern asssemblages in vivid colors depicting artists’ surreal homage to NOLA.
The place was packed on a Wednesday night! We got there at 8:30, when it was a bit mellow at 75% capacity (healthy buzz but no Bourbon St party crowd).... but nevertheless, my husband remarked on how he was glad we made a reservation or we wouldn’t have gotten a table - sure enough by 9 every chair was filled.
We had octopus carpaccio and endive/candied walnut/radicchio/pear/Gorgonzola starters. A bit heavy handed on endive and radicchio vs pear, so salad was not my favorite but meanwhile we both really enjoyed his octopus. My husband did feel he would have preferred it less chilled more room temp (I don’t agree). Waiter very helpful in selecting pizza - husband went with triple meat (they load toppings on and it’s brick oven fired PERFECTLY done crust)!!! I had rabbit pasta half portion which coupled with salad was plenty. This left me room for what I consider star of evening- Basil Gelato!!!!! Now I want another scoop it was outstanding
Domenica continues to serve high-quality food with attentive service and a grand atmosphere.
Really enjoyed the crispy fried tuscan kale appetizer! It was so tasty and more than enough for two people to share. I'll remember this place for my next stop in NOLA.
Good food, great service and good ambiance. We went on the early side (5:45) as we have a 4yo. Not too loud and good food choices for kids. Had fun!
Great table and good service. Food was very good, cooked as ordered. Unique menu but wait staff explained it well.
Valerie is doing a great job! Your truly blesses to have her
Our server was excellent. Prosciutto Pizza was one of best I’ve ever had.
Delicious food, surprised by a happy hour that we took advantage of! we were able to order more food! And the recipe for the espresso cookies was fantastic as we loved them and will never forget Domenicas when we return to Nola.
We couldn’t have had a better experience minus the service. Our server wasn’t the most friendly. I don’t know if it’s the culture difference (he was from California) but he clearly didn’t enjoy the job and was not overly friendly. My husband and I love to interact with a waiter and waitress but he was all business and barely said anything more than what he HAD to. What was most disturbing was that he was very friendly to the two tables on side of us. One was clearly a “well off” regular customer that he chatted with for over 10 minutes. The other table were from California and he was very nice and conversated with them for a long time. But like I said other than that the experience was lovely. The food and ambience were completely up to par as usual. Would 100% recommend!
Creative dishes that were delicious. Staff was super friendly!
We arrived at 5:45pm and were seated immediately. Happy hour ended at 6:00 so our waitress rushed our order in. Happy hour = 1/2 price pizza and drinks! We ordered the prosciutto and arugula pizza. The crust was crispy around the edges but soggy in the middle. The arugula was uncooked and placed on top of a cooked Margherita pizza. The prosciutto was sliced in large sheets, and placed on top of the arugula. I’m getting to a point believe me. When you picked up a slice everything slid off of the limp pizza. It was a mess. Barely any garlic in the tomato sauce at all. It was just ok. If they would have put a layer of cheese on top and baked everything at once it would be better. And add GARLIC! It’s pizza! Our tab was $16 for a pizza and two craft beers so we got our money’s worth. I’d go again but order a different pie. I’d give it a 4 out of 5 stars.
This was our second attempt at Italian in NOLA. Pizza was fair at best. Soggy and under cooked in the center. Noise level was too high.
My family (2 adults + 2 kids) was staying at the Roosevelt for spring break this week. After a long day of walking around New Orleans a great restaurant at our hotel was perfect! Cocktail list was amazing as were the beers. Good really exceeded expectations. Pizzas were delicious and the roasted cauliflower is a must! Staff was also more than happy to accommodate our extra guest that wasn’t included in our original booking.
Always an amazing dining experience. Cannot wait to go back.
first impression was wow my husband did good in picking. the hostess was friendly and seated us promptly. a second waitress or hostess came by and brought us water and also took our drink orders (old fashion and a rosè sangria(?)). then came the down swing. now be it overwhelming since it did seem like a full house but the party of 5 next to us started complaining about the waitress (which we shared) a few minutes into them receiving their food and her taking our order. our starters came and were lackluster for the price and wait but we ate. roasted cauliflower was lacking on seasoning but the whipped feta made up for it. the ricotta with strawberries and walnuts seemed to be just ricotta and a tomato bruschetta until you dissected everything and found said ingredients. the shaved brussels salad was very dry and lacking on taste. now to main course, undecided we ordered a few dishes to splurge and try. before we get to the food, we waited for the waitress to bring us new silver ware since it was taken with our starters but since she didn’t realize this and the food had already sat on our table for a few minutes my husband snatched us some off of a empty table. first the BUCATINI all'AMATRICIANA, pasta was undercooked even for al dente and the sauce felt as if it was missing something i just couldn’t put my finger on. second, the Campanelle was good and it was even better once we got the attention of our waitress and asked for some parmigiana cheese for the dish. the last dish and the one my husband looked forward too was the wagyu short ribs. instead the Ceppo was delivered and had to be returned and instead got the correct dish to go since we had already finished. since my husband loves his espresso after a meal i had to grab a desert while he sipped. the gianduja was nutella-esq with a crunchy top. the espresso in which he ordered a double seemed skimped and when asked about the size the waitress was adamant it was correct. all in all Domenica fell short with us
The food was excellent as usual. Roasted cauliflower was delicious as was the duck Ragu pasta. And the lasagna was spectacular. HOWEVER, the service was terrible. It started with watching our drinks end up at a different table, then having to ask for silverware and waiting forever for entree and ended with being completely forgotten with dessert. The waitress who took our dessert order actually offered us the dessert menu again having forgotten that she had already taken out order. At least the dessert was comped. There are a lot of great restaurants in New Orleans with impeccable service. Not sure that I would come back to Domenica again.
Easter Sunday Lunch was fun and exciting. If the waiter would've been attentive- experience would've been perfect!
Waiter was kind but very inattentive. My pasta, although homemade, which I appreciate, was very undercooked and had to be sent back. Took almost until my whole family was finished with their meal before my food came back correctly. Food was just “so-so”. Not impressed. I don’t mind paying for a great and memorable meal out- this was not one of them.
Always enjoy the happy hour specials. Dined with 9 friends/family. Service was great. Pizza was delicious. Drinks were fantastic.
Nothing that great. Had a variety of dishes but nothing that really tasted above average. Waitress was slow to refill drinks and to take orders.
I brought my parents who were in town visiting. My Dad especially can be skeptical of "different" food, and usually gets overwhelmed by menus he can't understand. I knew that Domenica wouldn't disappoint, but was SHOCKED by how much he raved about the food. We had to convince him to try the cauliflower (meat and potatoes kind of guy), and he LOVED it! Our server was so personable and really helped us make a great choice for food and drinks! They both kept mentioning how much they enjoyed the meal!
Good meal. Disappointing that they were out of the wine And gelato flavor we ordered
