I don’t know if it was a new chef or kitchen staff. But the food I always eat there and return for time and again was so so average. The best thing on the menu, the cauliflower with whipped feta, was so rubbery and cold and just awful. The pasta dish we ordered was sticky and bland. We sent that back. The pizzas were good. But not “knock your socks off” good. Just good. So disappointed.
Everything was great but they did get the dessert order wrong, other than that it was good!

The entree was marginal- the meatballs had no flavor- my shrimp dish was ok.

We came on Thanksgiving and they had a set 4-course meal - would probably prefer to try their normal food, but it was still good.
While I love Alon Shaya’s recipes, the restauranteurship leaves something to be desired now that he is not involved. This was our second visit where the server was pleasant, but cocktails and wine were very slow (10-15 minute wait after order) not once but twice. My son is a foodie, loving to try different dishes; and yet he was very disappointed with the hangar steak, which was fatty, irregularly cooked, and lacked seasoning. It felt that because he was a kid, his dish received little attention. Meanwhile, the table next to was all children under 10 with no parents who were running around unsupervised for 2 hours. They got timely service. We were properly behaving 12 -79 and had to bus our own table to have room for the next course.

Food was very good. Great selection. Service was poor. Too few servers to accommodate the space. And with the lack of staff, the existing wait staff was inattentive, unable to discern that the time to dine was excessive and was inconsistent between tables. And while the food was very good, after a considerable wait for our appetizers, a portion of one of our guest's dishes was what he referred to as ice cold.
I would give it another shot, but if my experience was the same or similar, I would forget about it!
They did a nice job with my allergies to shellfish and treenuts. Much appreciated.

The pizza was soggy. Maybe undercooked? The $18 cauliflower was almost to salty to eat and a bit hard. Needed a steak knife to cur. Service adequate. Happy hour wine is the best.

Excellent service. The “small primi” portions were a good size. The Shrimp Risotto was excellent. Pizza was really good too. Cocktails were good, but felt a little small.
Great food and service
The ambiance was nice (even though the tables could use some love, refinishing or tablecloths would go nice with vibe) and the service was great! However the food quality and taste was not consistent. Everything my friend ordered was delicious (mushroom soup and squid ink pasta). My orders however were not good. The spaghetti and meatballs (not on menu, you have to ask for it) was so salty. I mean it tasted like a spoonful of salt with every bite. I sent that back (b/c it was not edible) and ordered the shrimp risotto and that was basic at best. I ate it b/c I was very hungry but left much to desired.
Overall I would go back for wine and pizza, or sit at the bar for drinks/date situation but I would not return to truly dine.
Snapper, pizza and desserts were all excellent. Server was very attentive. Great old fashioned too.
Waiter was very pushy, and with no understanding of who is the customer and who is the server. Needs an attitude check. It’s not like I’ve never eaten at a restaurant? To be honest in all my years of eating out all over the world, this is the closest I’ve come to getting up and walking out. And, his beard was much too long to be serving food!
Shrimp risotto was excellent. Pizza was very good but some areas too charred on bottom. Buccatini pasta excellent, sauce was just good.
Always excellent food and service, their happy hour is one of the best in New Orleans.

The clam and margarita pizzas and the wagu steak were excellent . I was a bit disappointed in the sangria cocktail a bit flat and the cauliflower appetizer was way over salted and very small. I had a client with me so didn’t want to make fuss. The dinner was great but the appetizer that is a fan favorite should be on point.
Got the snapper, nothing special, undercooked, rubbery skin, undercooked vegetables. Great service though, food was just mediocre.
