While the menu is rooted in tradition, our chefs focus on elevating Italian ingredients and classic flavors to create modern classics, adapted for the contemporary palate of New Orleans. The fresh pastas made by hand daily, roasted vegetables, meats and Napolitano style pizzas, all prepared in the restaurant’s iconic wood oven, are perfectly complemented by custom-brewed beers, seasonal craft cocktails and an Italian-focused wine list.

The waiter was wonderful! I ate the lasagna (one of the best I have ever had) and my boyfriend had a pizza. We also enjoyed peach Bellini’s. Highly recommend!!!
The food was amazing and the service was excellent. The charcuterie was one of the best I’ve had and had a wide variety of meats, cheeses, and other accoutrements. Their red sauce on the meatballs and pasta was another favorite, so flavorful. Will definitely go back when I’m in New Orleans again!
The food was particularly good this visit. The odd music could have been quieter.
Amazing all around experience.
Great service, great food, great time.
Had the tagliatelle as always but this time pasta was undercooked and chewy. Also had far too much sauce this time . The lasagna was perfect as always also. Service very good, quick and efficient
Delicious food. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly service. Clean and safe.
Kind of ignored in the beginning, but got better service once we got things going. There's a line between dismissive and casual that I feel gets crossed often here; which demonstrates the modern feel of this place. Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to my teenager with the "I'll do it, gaw" attitude when ordering here; I'll take classic charm over this hip attitude any day. Food was delicious as usual. Albeit a bit pricey for pasta and pizza, the half portions are the way to go for value and not getting overstuffed.
First visit in 2020. It was as good as ever. Great food, service, ambiance and value! So happy to be able to visit during this difficult time - I felt they were taking all of the necessary precautions. I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting NOLA. It is not a traditional New Orleans restaurant but is very reasonably priced for the quality of the food and service. It is definitely my go to place whenever I visit. I was also excited that they could accommodate Gluten and Diary Free restrictions - that can be very difficult at an Italian restaurant.
The food at Domenica is absolutely fabulous! We enjoyed fried kale, pizza and rigatoni pasta! The bread they serve is second to none! We went two nights and the wait staff was superb! You really cannot go wrong at Domenica!!!
Service was good. Pizza and bread was cold house Chardonnay was terrible
Salumi & formaggi ...excellent.
Great COVID standards. Appreciate how they are keeping diners safe. Cauliflower was AWESOME but a bit disappointed in the risotto with shrimp and asparagus. Was lacking both ingredients. Mostly risotto which was very good but would have liked a bit more of shrimp and asparagus. Excellent service and very attentive to our group.
Our server was very helpful and attentive. He knew the menu very well and made soMe good suggestions. The cauliflower appetizer is one of out favorites and was as good as usual. The pizza and aqua pizza were delicious as was the walnut pecan gelato.
Our server was wonderful and the food delicious. I would definitely go back
Average at best
The whole experience was beautiful. Great service. Pizza was a little on the burnt side.
This was our first visit to Domenica. It will most certainly bot be our last. The food was fabulous. The service and ambiance was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.
Great service and food is amazing as usual. Happy hour is the best!
Nice atmosphere, great food. attentive service
Gerard is outstanding
We went o for happy hour.
Our waiter was super nice, knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. He made some great suggestions.
Food was delicious with pizza and drinks at Half the price.
Everything was perfect
The food was much improved over the last time we visited (which was a couple of months after a new chef, before the lockdown.) Really enjoyed the cauliflower, fried kale, black and gold pizza, tortelloni special, agnolotti, and squid ink pasta. Our waiter was professional AND friendly, nicely attentive without hovering. The wine list is abbreviated but full of bargains, shining lesser known Italian wines, and stellar classics. Spoiled for choice.
The problem was the other waiter nearby who kept pulling his mask down to talk to tables, and then walking around the dining room with it on his chin. I know you’re young and think you’re immortal but when you belong to one of the groups disproportionately affected and killed by COVID-19 you CANNOT be so arrogant or ignorant. No excuse.
Also people would come in and immediately pull their masks down at the host stand and the walk through the restaurant, staff never said anything. And it happened over and over again. People also got up and left their tables without their masks on. A lot of tourists, a lot of people from places with exploding virus numbers. THIS IS HOW WE GOT SHUTDOWN BACK IN MARCH, y’all forgot so quickly.
Food was great, our waiter awesome, lackadaisical COVID-19 response ruined our return to Dominica
Food was excellent, loved the nduja. Adam was a great server
Great waiter and very helpful with cocktail menu and dinner menu!
Our meal was great, the service was awesome and we felt safe.
It's not just the food or service - though both were exceptional. It was how fast we were seated upon arrival and the distance between us an other guests that made the experience great. We were able to, at least for the moment, balance having a real human experience with other people that evening while also feeling safe and our space respected. It was just a really good experience - professional staff, good food, dope atmosphere.
Incredibly fun and everyone who was working that night was SO fun and friendly-- will be back soon!
Great service for our party of 11! Thank you!!
One of our new Favs! The whipped feta with roasted cauliflower is life changing.
I feel like you can tell it’s an overall good experience when you stand to leave and realize you were there for over 2 hours. The food was amazing and the servers were so personable that we just wanted to stay all night. 10/10 recommend the cauliflower and the hazelnut pudding dessert. My expectations for domenica are obviously always very high and they were met/surpassed again !!
Lots of people with no masks! Otherwise, a wonderful time as always.
The service was actually exceptional. We have eaten here MANY times and this time we felt like we were dining with friends, our server! Great job Domenica! We'll be back !
We love the brick oven pizza most.
Restaurant week portion extremely small even for a 87 pound person like me. I don’t even eat a lot.
Loved everything I ate and drank! From the drinks, mushroom soup and scallops!
We love Dominica! Service perfect! My wife’s pizza was very good but mine was not as good as I hoped! They have taken my favorite of the past off the
Menu which was disappointing! Favorite Chardonnay isn’t in the menu either! Disappointed! Still a nice casual place to go!
Food and service was great. Had a meat & cheese board, the roasted Cauliflower, squid ink tagliolini, and a chocolate and hazelnut dessert.
Our waiter was amazing. I've dined all over the world and he was the best. He made a birthday dinner extra special!
Always a pleasure.
Upbeat, chic metropolitan atmosphere. Noise level moderate to high. Efficient wait staff but nothing over the top. Menu is not expansive but solid selection of pasta dishes and pizzas. Charcuterie board is pricey, but excellent mix of items. Famous for the roast cauliflower but I find it to be watery and not roasted long enough. The dip of whipped feta cheese is excellent though. Nice selection of mostly italian wines. I will go again and would recommend it to others. As a side note, I have a 12 year old who isn't a foodie but he really loves this place. He likes their pizza and the lasagna.
