While the menu is rooted in tradition, our chefs focus on elevating Italian ingredients and classic flavors to create modern classics, adapted for the contemporary palate of New Orleans. The fresh pastas made by hand daily, roasted vegetables, meats and Napolitano style pizzas, all prepared in the restaurant’s iconic wood oven, are perfectly complemented by custom-brewed beers, seasonal craft cocktails and an Italian-focused wine list.

This is my second visit and my first was last year. I literally made my reservation as soon as I knew I was going back to New Orleans! The roasted head of cauliflower that is served as an appetizer is worth a trip to the Big Easy all on it's own! I also has tortellini that was delicious. Can't wait to go back when I am in town in the fall.
Happy hr pizza was 1/2 price . Great for kids. Pizzas are wood fired and amazing
We came for an early dinner on Mother's Day and we had a very nice time. Everyone's meal was delicious; we are a family who likes to share plates, so we got a taste of all that was ordered. And to top it off, our server was friendly and helpful. We are from out of town, but this was our third trip to Domenica and we will definitely return again.
Excellent food awesome atmosphere
Food was amazing and service was wonderful. Went for brunch on Mother’s Day. Had the eggs and pancakes. Husband had the meatballs and polenta and daughter had cheese pizza. All food was great quality and savory.
Great experience with my wife and daughter. We really enjoyed the service and the AMAZING food. Definitely one of my favorites.
We had a Saturday night reservation for 4. They were able to seat us a bit early. Food was delicious, especially the brussels sprouts with pancetta, feta and mint (appetizer) and the gulf shrimp risotto with asparagus and swordfish pancetta. Also had 2 pizzas, very good. Great, engaging service, plus bonus entertainment: 2 weddings, one after the other, at Jesuit Catholic church across the street, each with jazz band second-line processional led by the bride and groom, filling the street with revelers. Great experience!
Loved our meal and so nice being in The Rosevelt !!
Service was the low point, food the high point.
Food was good and priced well. I like how they have a smaller version and larger version of their entries.
It is the best early pm supper in NO. Iive herr
We've been here many times over the years and unfortunately this time was just okay. We had the farm green salad to start which was good, greens were fresh and the dressing was tasty. For our entrees we had the Asparagas pizza and the Rigatoni. The pizza crust was not cooked enough so adding the the Asparagas to it made it mushy, hard to eat and doughy. The rigatoni sauce was on the bland side and the rigatoni pasta was not cooked enough and we like pasta on the al dente side. Hoping this is just a one time experience, as we have had many memorable meals there.
The food was amazing. JP our waiter was amazing also. All of his suggestions were on point. At first I was like we can't eat Italian in NOLA but saw John Besh was a part of the restaurant so we did. And am soooooo glad we did. Get the Lasagna and Roasted Cauliflower.
My husband an I took our out of town guest to dinner at Domenica. The service was awful! When ordering my dinner, I asked if it was possible to have a dish without chili. The waiter said that they could do the dish without chili, so I ordered it. We waited for at least 45 minutes for our dinner. When it arrived, my dish had so much chilis in it that I couldn’t eat it. My waiter was nowhere to be found. I walked around the restaurant looking for someone to help me. I finally found another waiter that took my dish and said that they will make another one. My husband and friend had finished their dinner before a manager came to say that they are making my dinner. At this point, I asked to cancel it. She said that they could make it to go. So, I left the restaurant without eating. When I arrived at home, I realized that what they gave me was an appetizer size of the dish, not the full entre. With so many good restaurants with good service in town, there’s no reason to go to a place that treat its customer so badly. I don’t recommend Domenica.
Our server was excellent and pizza was AWESOME! Will be going back again and again.
This was my 3rd time eating here. Food was delicious but the wait staff kept bringing it to the wrong table. Also not very knowledgeable on wine list
Crowded and noisy but excellent in every other aspect.
Great Italian food. Pizzas and pastas are delicious. The cauliflower appetizer is amazing.
Not as good as it once was
This is NOT a typical restaurant...it's not a typical hotel dining room...or an Italian place.
It's special...and good...we had 4 couples at a large table...mostly we ate appetizers and they were
good. We ordered a pizza and it was Okay...but not wonderful. We also had some salads and main dishes...they were fine. I don't think I'll be back... or recommend the place...just because it's downtown.
But if you're staying nearby and want to try it...I expect you'll be pleased.
Great food and service
Food was amazing as always. We have been to Domenico’s Central time. The service and the wind were not good in anyway.
Very very loud In the restaurant
Very slow service
My pizza was cold, however they did take it off the bill
Would Liked to have tried the italian food, which I am sure was good, but we opted for the pizza. A bit too noveau for us. But flavorful.
Food and drinks were fantastic! Roasted cauliflower and feta!!
Our server was extremely knowledgeable and helped guide us into making the best choices for our meal. The food was excellent and the ambiance was wonderful. Very enjoyable meal, would return again. (The wild mushroom soup was to die for)
I went alone on a busy weeknight during what turned out to be happy hour. Drinks menu is varied as expected in New Orleans, but food menu was also varied, from solid appetizers to entrees to pizzas. I had the roasted cauliflower appetizer and an asparagus pizza. The desserts were the least inventive and distinguished portion of the menu. I was visiting New Orleans and would definitely return to Domenica.
We enjoyed our dinner here. We had the cauliflower and fried kale appetizers, squid ink pasta, and two different pizzas. All good, but not "wow," in my opinion. Very friendly and helpful hostess and good service overall, upbeat and fun ambiance that our soon-to-be Tulane freshman appreciated. A little limited on the cocktails, especially for NOLA (I asked for a drink with Chartreuse, was told nope).
The waitress was initially attentive. Then someone who appeared to know much of the staff came on and our waitress just focused on that table, totally forgetting us.
Everything was wonderful! Great restaurant with an Italian slant. Our server Molly did everything short of actual miracles, to make our meal more enjoyable and special. The roasted cauliflower appetizer should be shared among at least four persons--they brought us the entire head! We also had salads, the pork chop, and three desserts, all of which were outstanding!
I wish they had a restaurant in Denver. The 2-6pm happy hour is fantastic. The pizzas were great. The risotto and lamb were both good. The tiramisu was unique, but too small for the price and kind of a let down because we're used to maggiano tiramisu servings being good for our whole family to share. The server, Molly, was great. We really liked her! She was helpful and attentive as needed.
THe men's room is quite the jog from the restaurant though. That was tough with little kids...it wouldn't have mattered too much without.
Went there late afternoon Sunday, so got happy hour deals! Half price pizzas(delicious), wine by glass, drinks and beer. So we had a great early dinner for a fantastic price.
We absolutely love Domenica! It has been a Christmas Eve favorite for a few years.....now adding Easter to the list!! The Squid Ink Pasta with Crab and The Roasted Cauliflower are a must--as well as the Lasagna and the Meatballs! Fantastic.
This time, Easter Day our experience was tainted by a waitress who clearly did not want to be there, who was professional but seemed annoyed. Which is fine., I can be generously understand that
However, she can to the table, picked up the food while we were still eating. Not asking us if we were finished . My daughter was not finished, she was taking a moment to tell me something. There was no line waiting, many tables were open and it was shocking how fast she scooped it all up. I tried to make eye contact with waitress, but bam- my salad and daughters lasagna was gone!
My daughter asked me not to make a scene .
She offered to bring the check, and I mentioned I wanted desert. Waitress was clearly disappointed. We ignored it, and laughed at it after we left. I left a normal tip only for the spirit of the holiday.
Very good food but service was slow.
Great place to eat! Wonderful service!
Delightful food and wonderful team as always!
The lasagna is the most incredible Italian dish I've ever had. And get the roasted cauliflower, one of my least favorite vegetables, but I couldn't stop eating it.
