Alex and Julie are awesome! Had the 6 course experience and it was amazing!
4 people, excellent service, food, atmosphere and most importantly the wine. Loved our evening.
We love the ambiance. Food is fairly reasonably priced, but wine is expensive and the 2015 wasn't quite up to par. It is difficult to go here often when a light dinner and a bottle of wine run $200 (including tip).
Amazing food, incredible wine selection and staffing that make your experience - one that keeps you wanting to come back and share the experience with friends, family and colleagues!
We were celebrating our 10th anniversary and we were seated at a tiny 2 person table in a corner by the kitchen. A family of four was next to us. I asked for a different table but was declined that request. We had reservations. I felt boxed in, my husband couldnt hear me because of the kitchen noise. Food was delicious but not enough healthy (low sodium, veggie options). The young man serving the family next to us couldnt remember parts of the menu when asked to describe something. Beautiful room, pleasant staff, might come back for cocktails this summer but probably not for dinner. Nice to have an adult atmosphere without young children crying, running about and making loud noises. I wish much success for your establishment. Thank you.
Our server Alex was 100% the best server in the history of servers. Super knowledgeable and so very kind.
This was a pleasant and quiet lunch with excellent servic. The cheese plate and crab roll were excellent, the butternut squash veloute less so. I probably should have asked what "boudin" was but the strong, meaty taste spoiled the delicate flavor of the soup. The wine was delicious but, at $25 per glass, too much for regular dining here.
One of my top favorite spots in Portland area!
An experience commensurate with the Domaine Serene brand, truly exceptional.
Waiter was somewhat arrogant and awkward. Brought the wrong drink didn’t listen well to his customers
Wonderful staff and ambiance. The menu is good and changes frequently.
Valentines
High quality interior. Rich atmosphere. Food was not worth the price however, nor were the restaurant brand wines.
Amazing food and beautiful restaurant. My wife and I went for valentine's dinner and we are planning to go back to try their full menu.
No for lunch time, if you go to do a tasting I don’t understand that the lunch food are sandwiches, do not match with the atmosphere, and even less with the wine
Incredible! We had the dinner experience with wine pairings. Both the food and wine were beyond our expectations! We'll absolutely be going back.
Nice experience. Device was a little slow.
I loved the ambiance, the service, the presentation and the creative recipes. And I enjoyed the wine. Although I tend to like smaller portions, I must admit that the lobster was even too small for me! but it was delicious.
Attentive staff and very friendly. Oysters with the French Chardonnay is an amazing pairing.
It was Super Bowl Sunday and we were still well looked after.
Food pairing experience was phenomenal. We truly enjoyed our evening. A bit noisy at times, but truly an enjoyable experience.
The burger!!!!
We loved our server Rachel! We will definitely request her again next time. She is so sweet and knowledgable.
Nice new place in lake o. Wine was great, but expensive. My main concern was portion sizes. We left hungry. That should never happen after spending $400 for dinner for two.
Exceptional wines,, food, service and ambiance! Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Apps arrived before wine. Waiter never checked on us until near the end. One dish was not cooked well and it was comped
This place has recently opened, and needs to stretch its legs a little bit. We were greeted warmly and led to our table. Two choices: pub level tables or more of a lounge experience surrounded by the look of a lovely library. Unfortunately, that was the prevailing atmosphere, that of a library. Well no one likes A place so loud that you cannot hear each other, this lacked joy or conviviality. Hopefully that will come.
The food, while good, lacked inspiration. There were no special dishes. Perhaps it is meant to be an afterthought to their wines, which are great but expensive for the average diner. We paid an average of $24-$30 per plate and received about 3 ounces of protein. It looked almost like tapas, - a better price point would have been under $20.
All in all, I would give it a B minus. They need to grow into their space a bit, and expand the menu, But they do show promise overall.
This is the restaurant and wine lounge primarily for Domaine Serene's wines. It is beautiful, and if you like Pinot Noir or Chardonanay, you will be in heaven as those are the only two types of wine Domaine Serene makes, and that's almost all they serve. You can try several ... there must have been 3 pages of Pinot Noirs for example, so again, if you are an afficionado, this is the place for you. They do offer other vendors' wine besides their own, but you won't find a single sauvingnon blanc, merlot, cabernet sauvingon, etc on the menu. There is a full bar if you want a cocktail.
It is a tad pricey as well. A flight of 3 two-ounce glasses was $20 and they went up from there. Single glasses as well were higher priced than you usually pay. They have no happy hour, just the regular menu which has some appetizers on it. We did not eat on this day, but someone else in our party had recently had lunch and thought it was reasonably priced.
It's a lovely restaurant that caters to people who appreciate quality. You get it, and ... you pay for it.
Love this place. A great upscale addition to the Lake Oswego dining scene. Looking forward to their Friday, Saturday, and Sunday lunches.
We enjoyed our Anniversary dinner with friends who share our anniversary date. We were treated like royalty from the moment we walked in. The staff is so welcoming and attentive. The food has become our favorite. Thank you Chef ! The sommelier Darko always knows what wine we need to pair with our food. It takes the guesswork out. Thank you for opening in Lake Oswego and being so close to our home. This truly has become our home away from home
Menu and portions have improved tremendously since our first visit. We had the crab appetizer which was amazing. We then had the Duck for 2 which was very well done, sliced and served with multiple sauces and greens with crispy bread that you can eat it tostada style! We really enjoyed this dish. Service and wait staff is always fantastic. Can’t wait to go back!
Our server, a young woman from Knoxville, was amazing! She was knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great evening.
Excellent venue for a special occasion. Surprise taste of sparkling wine to celebrate friends’ birthdays. Delightful!
Our dinner was absolutely fantastic! The food was truly delicious and so fresh, one of the best salads and steak I have ever enjoyed! The decor is beautiful, it is a must experience restaurant!
Overpriced
The duck is AMAZING. Definitely not a good price point- way more expensive than any duck meal I've paid for even at fine dining restaurants- but really delicious. The lamb is good as well. Tried the black cod and it seemed to lack flavor- the broth was flavorful though. The tartare is great and the crab appetizer is fun and yummy. Chill ambiance.
We had a wonderful time! Our server, Wyn, was extremely knowledgeable and made sure to take great care of us. Their burger and crab dip are a must try!
From the food to the service our meal was thoughtfully prepared and served. Wonderful experience and happy to have a great new place in the neighborhood!
Such an amazing experience! The food was absolutely amazing. We came here because of the amazing reviews and we were not disappointed. The service was phenomenal, the drinks and food were excellent, and the ambiance was pleasant. Perfect place for date night, special occasion dinner, or casual lunch!
We purchased a wine flight and the 5 course tasting menu and loved everything! The food was very well done classic style food - unique, but not too adventurous. The wine was obviously incredible as expected. I feel like it was a great value as there isn't a high upcharge to the retail price like most restaurants.
The " wine lounge" has only been open 4 weeks but they have their act together on all fronts. Many will know the parent winery has world class but pricey wines and a great facility. This is their second venue in the Portland area and is a full-blown restaurant.
We went with friends on a Saturday evening and were promptly seated at our reserved time when we arrived. The space in the heart of downtown LO. There is an ample free parking in the garage underneath. As an architect I can tell no expense has been spared in this project. There are three areas, the Main Lounge with bar, the Library and the Vineyard Room. You are greeted upon entering with a huge glass wine tower holding 2,000 bottles under controlled conditions. Overall there is an elegant feel which would be totally at home in Las Vegas or a major metro.
The menu is pretty diverse. I'd say the servings are on the small side, but everything we had was delicious and of high quality. We started with wine, of course. The ladies shared a bottle of sparkling and my friend and I shared a bottle of Pinot Noir. The som skillfully upsold us to the "Aspect" Pinot, but it turned out to be a great recommendation. He also gave us a good explanation of the what each of the 3 vineyards in the blend added to the product. Wine prices are just barely above retail; the bottle we had was only marked up 8% above what you'd pay at the winery or in a shop. They have many glass pours and also flights.
We shared three appetizers, a butternut squash veloute, confit potatoes & broccolini. For mains we had Chinook salmon and also chicken. The salmon serving was small (~4 oz.) but perfect for our female companions. I would typically not order chicken, but the recommendation of our server did not disappoint. We did not have dessert.
Overall the experience was on the pricey side but worth it. The space, as is typical these days unfortunately, is a little loud. They are open for lunch as well. We will be back!
