Excellent food and service!! A hidden gem in downtown Delaware!
DH is still THE place to eat in Wilmington. The food and ambiance was every bit as we had remembered; the service polite and efficient. We've been going there for years when visiting my sister in Wilmington, and after her recent passing we ate there in her memory...a VERY good idea.
Very nice food and good wine list. Excellent service but it was a very slow night.
The food was amazing cooked to perfection and the seasonings were unique. We enjoyed everything we had. The cheese plate, the charcuterie, grilled octopus, ceviche, pasta with chicken sausage, even the asparagus had an awesome seasoning on it. Everything was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Service was very good and knowledgeable. Both wine choices were excellent - the Hudson Manhattan with the correct cherries was outstanding. My problem is I have an allergy to garlic and only 3 items were cooked w/o garlic - so my choices were few. We drove from NYC and were somewhat disappointed because of the few choices.
I've always wanted to try French cuisine. This was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The suquet, seafood stew, is amazing!
The food was excellent especially the English pea soup for appetizer. My brother in law had the rabbit which he thought delicious especially how it was prepared. The service was very attentive but not rushed. We were there for about three and half hours sipping wine after dinner. Highly recommend.
The food was, as always, outstanding, and Javier's recommendations for dishes and wine pairings were outstanding.

Got the Price Fixe menu x's 2. Each course was outstanding. Had a rookie server but she was cute and accommodating which makes up for inexperience every time. The server didn't know what to recommend with the oysters, needs to be trained up. Oysters were tasty, not overpriced. One glass of white with the bivalves and a bottle of Beaujolais. The wine price was reasonable ($45). Not full on a Saturday night , made me worry. Accommodated to my friend not being able to eat onions.

We went to Domaine Hudson for Mother's Day Brunch buffet, towards the end of time frame. The food we had was great (especially the sausages, prime rib, risotto, pain perdu and raspberry shortbread cookies), but they ran out of several items listed including cured meats (almost all of the choices), chilled seafood (shrimp an crab), pastries (croissants). Some of the food was cold (blinis). I am sure we will be back but will probably go earlier in the day when the buffet is fully stocked with all of the choices.

Service was horrible. I’ve been to this restaurant in the evening and service was on point. My party was there for Mother’s Day service was confused and amateurish. Our water was never refilled, they were never asked to refresh our drinks , and never offered coffee.
This was my second visit to Domaine Hudson. The first was over a year ago, and we recall that the menu then was French-themed. We had an excellent experience overall, and we were looking forward to our return visit. However, the menu has changed (perhaps the chef has also) and this visit was underwhelming. I would recommend the Tagliatelle in the second course, but our entrees were bland and largely tasteless. Dessert choices were also limited and not very good. Prices are high. Thus, unfortunately, we will not be back.

We were greeted immediately upon our arrival and led to our table by the hostess, which set the tone for a pleasant dining experience. The quality of the food, which was perfectly prepared and presented, was evident from our first course to desert. We also liked the extensive wine list which allowed us the match glasses of fine wines with each course. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. Each course arrived in a timely manner but not rushed. We were seated next to a table of business diners, which is always a risky proposition, but the excessive noise was emanating from another nearby table with two couples. The din grew louder as more alcohol was consumed and reached a crescendo with hysterical laughter from one of the female guests. This was the one drawback to an otherwise wonderful experience. Overall I would give this establishment five stars.

We’ve been to DH a number of times, at least 6. This was our least enjoyable. Service was slow, it was not crowded, and I wasn’t impressed by the chicken dish. One of us had the fluke, it was just “ok”. We will, most likely go again in the future... I’m hoping that service and food improve.

Menu was limited and too complex. Consider sauces with some of your dishes...fish and pasta dishes were dry

Back up to snuff! Last time was a Thursday special and fell a bit short. My charred octopus was done perfectly, and the fluke had a slight crispiness top and bottom yet very moist. Rabbit cacciatore just YUM. Only because of a loud table next to us did I not give a higher ambience rating.

My wife and I have not been to DH in a while because of a bizarre and rough experience last time. We are glad we went back. The service was awecome. The hostess was so welcoming when we arrived which was greatly appreciated as we came in out of the rain. Our servers were so good to us and truly made the visit worthwhile. Food was very good. Loved the tagliatelle with calabrian chiles and scallops, the strip steak with potato and demi-glace was perfect adn the duck with carrot puree, fennel and hints of cinnamon was so good. Dessert was good, loved the bread pudding. the affogato was ok, great tiramasu ice cream but the cake got so soggy with the espresso. So maybe it is supposed to be like that but just didn't enjoy that. Again overall it was a very nice night for us and we are looking forward to going back.

After going to Domaine Hudson for at least 5 years, it feels like they're trying to move more upscale. The prices reflect that, but the food isn't quite there yet. At $90 per person with one cocktail and one glass of wine each plus tip, the experience should be more memorable. They have upgraded the ambiance considerably over the last couple years.

Splendid. First time at Domaine Hudsin, went for a couples dinner. Small intimate setting, but we weren't closed in. Staff was excellent, Cindy the hostess was quite welcoming.
The menu was short, so I was a bit worried about the choices. Trying things outside my norm, I opted for the parsnip soup, 1/2 kimchee linguini & the strip steak. My spouse had the beet salad, shared the kimchee pasta & the strip steak.
Soup - nice flavor & texture, creamy. The walnuts & small apple bits worked well with the bisque. The kimchee linguini had seared scallops, broccoli & pasta. Flavor was amazing, it had a bite to it. Scallops were perfect. The steaks - it came sliced - I could cut with a fork. Literally. Probably one of the most tender beef steaks I have ever had. Chocolate truffles topped that off, they were tasty if not a bit sweet, topped with caramel glaze.
Very glad we went, it was a great meal.
We parked in the Christiana Care lot for free. There was plenty if street parking too

DH continues to deliver an outstanding dining experience. The service and food are always impeccable, but this visit was something far and above. The grilled octopus might have been the absolute best ever. The octopus was perfectly prepared and as tender as octopus can ever be, but it was the preparation and the broth that made this dish the best ever. I asked for an additional slice of bread (an outstanding honey wheat that should not be skipped, even for those that try to avoid carbs) to ensure I scraped up every last drop of that wonderful broth.
We try to sit at the high top in the bar area because the bartenders have always been the best, this time it was Michael again and he never disappoints.

We both had digestive issues within an hour of getting home. It was not pleasant, you should look into it!
Some of the food we had was really good and of the quality I expected. My husband loved the Kimchi pasta with scallops. The entrees were acceptable. We had the lamb and the duck and they were good, but they weren't amazing. I was hoping for better flavors and something more unique for the price. I also was a little disappointed in the variety. For instance for the pastas, there were only three. Two had seafood in them which I am allergic to which left only the mushroom risotto. As not a huge fan of mushrooms, this was disappointing. Overall, the food was good. It's definitely higher quality as compared to a lot of the restaurants in the area. However, compared to the other restaurants in the same price range, it's sub par.

The second entry for the lunch special was two beef choices, duck and octopus. I don't eat beef and they didn't have any duck...they didn't run out...we were there at 12 noon and there just didn't have it availalbe.
I was disappointed without a different fish or poultry option.

It is always a delight to dine here; the food and the service are outstanding, as is the wine list. A friend and I always meet for lunch during Restaurant Week -- I only wish that DH served lunch on a regular basis!
Great food, excellent service ! Our waiter identified a “bad” bottle of wine and exchanged it for another of the same...... BRAVO !!!!!!
Just one suggestion, don't let them seat you in the window.... Awkward, fish bowl-type moment.. Opt for a booth or table on the far side for a lititle more intimacy... Other than that, it was a great experience, yet again.
Went for our favorite pre-fix dinner, been many times, very disappointed in the the menu. 1 app choice, always had 2, 2 entre's, 1 dessert! Stuck with their choice for apps and dessert. Cheese board was ok, rice pudding was not good for either of us? 2courses of their choice, not ours, won't be back!
First time at this restaurant traveling from NJ because of the great ratings. Such a beautiful restaurant and food is so good. A must to visit.

There is simply no finer dining experience in the state of Delaware. The bride proclaimed her choice (Berkshire Pork Chop) the best dinner she had ever had … I had the hand crafted artisan pasta Beef Cheek ravioli - which were equally stellar. Our wine - a Spanish Grenache was in a word … decadent. If you haven't been, go. If you haven't been in a while, go back.

We had not been to Domaine for a few years. Our meal was good. We both had the fluke which was excellent. The wine list was not as extensive as we recalled it. We were surprised how empty it was for a Friday evening. Our server was helpful with the wine suggestions, but we almost felt rushed, particularly when it wasn’t very crowded.
