Service, food, and ambiance everything was amazing. We will be back!
Domain Hudson continues to be our favorite restaurant in Wilmington. We were disappointed when Chef Pat left, but their new Chef is every bit as talented as the former Chef. Friday evening was our first chance to "try out" the new Chef. Each dish was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. As always, the bar and wait staff friendly and attentive.
The three course Prix Fix option was a true bargain.
If you are reading this post you are looking for an upscale restaurant in Wilmington, I urge you to try Domain Hudson, you will not regret your choice.
Food and service were both excellent. Not much more to say
We have been visiting Domaine Hudson for years and have never been disappointed. We are impressed that they have been able to stay so consistent with their food and service. We had the Berkshire Pork Belly and the Foie Gras and Duck Liver Pate for starters. Both were delicious. Our main courses were the Bavette of Beef and the Beer-Brined Duroc Pork. The beef was cooked perfectly and was rich in flavor. The duck fat potatoes were especially good too! As for the pork chop, it was quite large, but very tender and juicy. Their pork chops are always so delicious! For dessert, which we rarely have room for, we had the chocolate bread pudding with the raspberry gelato - the perfect ending to a birthday celebration. We really appreciate the wonderful food AND service. Our waiter Javier, whom we always request, is the best!
Fantastic food, service and wine service was incredible. Ask for Rick
I thought the meal on New Year Eve was awesome. I tried pork belly for the first time and it was so good I could have made a meal out of it. The entre a brine soaked pork dish was wonderful. I was quite surprised at the portions as I don't expect to ask for a doggie bag on a holiday.
I was so pleased...
My husband and I frequent this restaurant several times a year. It is one of our local favorites! We just went there on New Year's Eve and I am happy to report that our dining experience was superb. Food and service was amazing. The traditional menu along with a prix fixe was available. Typically, on New Years Eve, my experiences with other establishments has not been satisfactory..limited menus, average food quality and less than average service. Not the case here. It was a pleasant surprise to what I have become accustomed to on New Year's Eve. Their food quality and service did not waiver on this night. Bravo for maintaining excellence on a night when others do not. Some of my favorites here are the pate and cheese board. Always a winner. Excellent craft cocktails and an extensive wine list are just some of the things that keep us coming back. We had a great dessert of homemade gelato...flavor sweet potato and marshmallow...Yummm!
Thank you for another amazing dining experience!!
Had heard a lot about this restaurant, but I would just say that it was an okay experience, nothing exceptional. We went for the pre fix menu and each course was presented well, the service was very nice and the ambience is very cosy and warm as well.
Always a great experience. Food is amazing and front of house staff are friendly and attentive.
This is one of my Top 2 restaurants in Delaware, Service is #1, so professional; impecable. Teamwork describes the service. They work like a Michelin Star restaurant, and I have been to quite a few all over the world. The (relatively) new Chef is cooking amzing things. Bravo!
What a great holiday event. I mentioned in the reservation that this was the first time two sets of kids were going to be together in a new family and the waitress mentioned it. The whole family appreciated that. It was a classy touch and a nice thing to do. The food was great and the setting comfortable. Thank you. - Tim
What a wonderful evening. This restaurant is worth a trip.
Wonderful meal last Saturday night. My date had the prix fix meal and it was way too much, even for him. The kitchen was very accommodating, the bartender very experienced and the entire evening wonderful. For a moment I forgot what city this was...it was that good.
Excellent meal. We’ll be back.
The food was outstanding, and the service was amazing!!!
My steak wasn't very warm and it tasted old and the dessert wasn't much better. The wine was very good but a bit pricey.
We had an excellent meal to celebrate our anniversary, and very good service. There was a loud table just across from us, unfortunately. And the music seemed incongruous... it was playing along in the background, then suddenly switched to rather intrusive/raucous R&B Christmas music. Somewhat pricey, but very good value for your money.
The food tasted good. The menu was limited, but the menu had good variety. The price was a bit much given the location and ambiance.
Brought my husband there for our Anniversary. It was his first time there. The food was amazing as usual. The time between course was long. We wound up being there close to 2 hours. A bit long for us! Other than a, “Happy Anniversary “ Wish from one of the servers when we were first seated, nothing else special done.
Marvelous food, lovely service, great wine. Comfortable. A tad pricey but worth every penny
Great food greAt server
No OpenTable points! No 20% off with a VIP card. What gives?
Food was very good. Wine selections were interesting and varied as always. Server was disappointing. He could not keep our orders straight or get them correct. In one instance, he checked back with us 3 times to make sure he had it correct. Although I am grateful he checked, it is not the kind of experience one expects at a restaurant of this caliber and price range.
By far one of the best high end restaurants I've ever been to. Will definitely go back again. My lady was overly impressed as well.
Too loud. Tables too close together. Price of the food doesn't match the taste.
28 anniversary, great service, nice wine selections, excellent entrees
This is the first time at Domaine Hudson and first reaction is this restaurant needs to update their decor...very outdated. The wine list set up on an Ipad is difficult to navigate. Service was slow and not attentive, forgetting to bring bread, forgetting to bring the side of veggies ordered. Food was good, but there are better restaurants in the area that are all around more solid than this.
A wonderful dinner out with another couple. Once again Domain Hudson did not let us down. The food was excellent, the drinks and wine perfect, service top notch. A great evening.
Happy with every thing. A nice time was had by all.
Great ambiance, meal and service. The food was delicious and the wine list extensive. The servers are very informed and helpful at making suggestions.
Good menu & good service . I got Salmon tartare which was delicious and then got the Chilean see bass which was a good size and prepared perfect.
Y husband enjoyed his dish which was the duck
My wife and I went for our third anniversary, and the staff and chef made it a night we won’t soon forget.
We had a delicious three course meal over a few hours, I had a few drinks, and it was by far the best meal we’ve had in several years.
We went here for our ten year anniversary. This place is small, quiet and romantic. We started with the charcuterie and it was divine. We had three meats and two cheeses. My husband had a negroni and it was made perfectly. We both had tempranillo wine for dinner and it was also very good. The chef knows how to take calculated risks here. My meal, the duck, had a great char on the duck fat, perfectly pureed parsnips and a wonderfully paired blackberry gastrique.
My husband had a salad and the gnocchi. He liked both very much and ate every bite. We loved our desserts too! Domaine Hudson is a must for a special occasion, but I would recommend a reservation as it is a small place that can fill up quickly.
Limited but interesting menu, wait staff were knowledgeable and helpful
First date night since birth of child
Domaine Hudson is fantastic. The food is probably the best in Wilmington and the cocktails are very well made. This meal was for a special occasion and we had a fantastic time.
Ive been going to Domaine Hudson since they opened and they’ve maintained the quality of their food, service and ambiance for years and even better with the second owners who made it top notch!
It’s always an amazing experience to dine at Domaine Hudson. Food is always impecabble and so is service—Javier is my favorite server but you cant go wrong with the others. The Manager, Amy, is very personable and full of energy. She will make you feel at home. The bartender prepares the best cocktails too! Foodies say that the best restaurants are always consistent in all aspects. Domaine Hudson is it!
We've dined here many times and did so again during Wilmington Restaurant Week. The menu was creative and the wine pairings excellent. I wasn't really happy with the hi-top seating in the bar area but the service didn't suffer. We will return again.
Within the past year we have dined in Philadelphia, New Orleans, San Francisco, Barcelona and Madrid at some wonderful restaurants. Domaine Hudson ranks up there with the best we have experienced in these cities. The food is fresh, expertly prepared, there are no weaknesses. We went for restaurant week and had a superb 3 course meal ($35) with a very well matched wine pairing with each course ($20) for one of the best meals in the past twelve months.
We went during restaurant week, so may be why service was not as great as expected. Food was great
