While a great restaurant experience, it does not feel like the best place to bring young children. Given Dolly’s small footprint, the noise can tick up quite quickly due its open floorplan. Young children can add to the noise quite quickly. There were young children while we were there, mostly well-behaved, but given the seating arrangements, every wiggle, foot kick was felt along the bench seating against the windows. Honestly, a bit annoying for a more upscale restaurant dining experience. I personally see Dolly as better suited for ages 12 and up.

I took my wife for her birthday and we had a great experience. The food, drinks, and service were all phenomenal. Our server was very personable and really took care of us. We will definitely be back.

One of the top restaurants in Portland. The caesar salad was incredible, as was the focaccia bread and all the entrees and sides. Nice interior and comfortable hip vibe. Can’t wait to return. A hidden gem in PDX.

Quite a lovely surprise! Best Eggs in Purgatory I've ever had! And the Bloody Mary with Mezcal was delicious! And a very nice bonus brioche bun that our server offered us gratis! We will return!

It was our 29th wedding anniversary. And we picked Dolly Olive. That should tell you everything. Our 1st server was outstanding. Unfortunately we did not get her name. We would love to give her a personal thank you. We have been here many times and it is always excellent in every way. LOVE DOLLY OLIVE!!!! Doug Renfro

We frequent this neighborhood gem! Everything we've had is wonderful from their Starters to some innovative Pasta dishes (all made in-house). Great Desserts, like a fabulous Affogato! The dishes are just the right size to try a variety of things! (though the Salad is HUGE). We really appreciate the great service - everyone helps out so we usually wait for nothing! A wonderful staff that appreciates its customers.
