   This place is friendly, from the staff to the other guests. The food is delicious, and they will make it the way you want. We come here every time we are in Boston, and have been coming for 20 years

   We had to wait in the doorway a long time to be seated even though we had a reservation. It didn't matter that we did as the owner just sat you as you came in. At least we could get a table on a Saturday night on short notice, that's the good thing. Our waiter was not friendly whatsoever. It was as if we were a nuisance. Hurry up, what do you want, and off he went, never to check in on us again. He asked if we wanted sparkling water. My friend said tap, which I confirmed still water, and they proceeded to bring us a $10 bottle of water, which I didn't realize we were charged for until the bill came. It took forever for the bread to come to our table. My friend ordered veal piccata, which she said is normally breaded and browned, but this wasn't at all. No breading and not browned at all. The flavor was good though. My fettuccine alfredo was delicious. The service was such a disappointment. I noticed he was like this with all of his tables. Never smiling or engaging with customers at all. The owner was watching the whole time and evidently is fine with this. The owner is charming and I wish he would impart the importance of connecting with your customers to his employees. There are too many other options in the North End to eat at. Go somewhere else to have a good time and feel valued.

   We went for an early dinner and we got to have a private date with the restaurant all to ourselves! The staff were super friendly and talked to us. The food was delicious! The homemade gnocchi rose and fettuccini were outstanding. Highly recommend it’s a great find!

   We had a large group and they were amazing with the service as well as customizing a menu for us. Great overall experience and the food was fantastic.

   it was nothing exceptional & overpriced, and our waiter was somewhat indifferent.  with an abundance of options and the north end we would go other places.

   Food was very blah. Restaurant was empty compared to the rest of the block and now I know why. The blocks are lined with Italian restaurants so do yourself a favor and try somewhere else

   My wife and I had a very nice dinner at LaDolce Vita after a long day of touring Boston. We chose the restaurant because of the good reviews, the ambiance, and food selection. The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived for our dinner a little before 7pm. We had a great table location by the window. We were given their garlic bread and bruschetta. Very good. For drinks, I had a cabernet and my wife had a sangria, both good ! Another basket of bread also was given to us(bread was Ok ). For dinner, my wife had the stuffed shells and I had the chicken marsala. Both dishes were served hot and were plentiful. We were very pleased with our meal choices. All in all, we made the right decision to go to LDV. Unlike so many of the other North end Italian restaurants, this one didn't pack you in. It was a nice quiet dinner! We recommend going there.

    My daughters both swear the lobster raviolis here are the best they’ve ever had. My veal marsala was excellent and I appreciated the option to have fresh vegetables instead of pasta. Wait staff is excellent!
