Great food and service. Had the Carbonara and really enjoyed it.
They had live music that was so loud, we asked to move outside to the patio.
Ate on patio because inside live music was deafening. Outside was great.
I took my wife here for a date night and requested a quiet, cozy table in the app. They didn't even look at our request because he asked if we wanted to sit outside with a bunch of other people. The service was slow, but the food was good. I had the carbonara and it was delicious. Overall it was a nice place.
Amazing food, wonderful menu... A true can’t miss for everyone!!!
The appetizers were great. The wine was warm. And the entrees were so so. Not worth the price.
Certain Tables at the restaurant would be better. Like along the brick wall.
We were seated quickly. Someone without a reservation was sat right after us yet their drinks, bread and appetizers came before even our drink order.
Our waiter wouldn’t make eye contact and didn’t act interested in being there let alone to make sure his customers were even slightly pleased with him . We heard the manager apologize to a couple of tables about the wait. Not one sorry from even our waiter about the 30 minuets before our drink order was taken. Watching the staff, they all seemed to be walking all over in a hurried chicken with their head cut off demeanor, but not really accomplishing anything.
We have tried one of the other locations and received better service and food.
Food is what we expected from the Sicilia restaurants. Our server was good but he was attending to too many tables so the timing and service suffered a little. Especially near check time. It seemed the staff was a little overwhelmed, it was busy, and they had to have others fill in on service to the tables. But overall the meal quality was good.
First time at Dolce Sicilia. We have eaten at Sicilia Mia a few times and enjoyed it. For some reason, the food didn’t taste as good at Dolce Sicilia. We had the carbonara (really loved at Sicilia Mia), lasagna and seafood pasta and they were good, not great. The price didn’t seem commensurate with the quality tonight.
This was very disappointing especially since we have had great experiences at Sicilia Mia and Antica Sicilia. The server was absolutely inattentive. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant and it took forever for us to get served after we ordered and seemed forever for us to get our check and even seemed longer to get our receipt and credit card after we paid. My ravioli came out lukewarm. The carabona was so salty. It was a very disappointing experience. They need time to catch up with their sister restaurants. The only reason we went here was because they were open on Sunday and the other two locations were not.
We enjoyed the atmosphere and the menu options. The pasta was great. The meat dish (steak) had a poor grade of meat that was difficult to cut and chew.
Very nice ambiance, great service with excellent management presence. Food was wonderful very authentic.
The carbonara was outstanding!
Favorite Italian place in town. Service makes you feel like family. I highly recommend the lasagna...... best I have ever had anywhere.
Utter disappointment from food to service. My family was visiting Utah August 2018 and came to SLC for 3 nights after visiting all the national parks.
It was my dad's 64th birthday on August 8 and I made reservation at Dolce Sicilia for four people. We sat down and ordered drinks, appetizers, and entrees.
On the food - overly salty and not fresh at all... We ordered both the tuna and steak tartare. While the flavors were okay, the tuna tartare was full of unchewable tendon or fish skin (which would be absolutely gross for raw fish). We ordered a few seafood dishes with shrimps and snow crab legs (which by the way was not specified on the menu and required hands to tear and pull the meat out, I am usually okay with it but probably wouldn't have ordered it tonight if it was said on the menu). The seafood was not fresh and of course I did not expect them to not be previously frozen, but these seafoods just tasted like they were frozen for too long or they were low price cheap items to begin with. And most of the dishes we ordered were overly salty.
The service - they treat different customers differently... overall the server was decent enough. One thing that didn't sit well with me was when we were waiting for the appetizers, the waiter came and apologized for the long wait. I told him it was my father's birthday so we were fine just chilling and didn't mind the wait. And let's face it, you and I both know usually in a "nice" restaurant, they give complimentary appetizers or desserts for the birthday person, but I did not expect anything and would not have minded that they did not do anything for my father. But right before we left, the whole restaurant staffs gathered around another table and sang Happy Birthday in Italian for them. Nothing was done to our table.
All in all, I am very disappointed with Dolce Sicilia, and I did not have that high an expectation to begin with.
This dinner was a GIGANTIC disappointment. We have eaten at Sicilia Mia and were told that this newer location was also quite good. Our hostess was wonderful (she saw that it was our anniversary and congratulated us). That is where the good part ended. We were seated by one server and had a total of 5 servers. The restaurant was not crowded (7 total tables, with more wait staff than tables). It took 20 minutes to bring my drink. When our salad was being served, that server went to go say hi to friends before giving us our food. We were only asked about our meal once. I watched the Carbonara being made for another table. I don’t think the server ever smiled while doing this. This is your signature dish! What a shame. For that same table, the server placed the alcohol drink in front of the toddler. Thank goodness for grandma’s quick thinking. Finally, after our entre the waiter brought our check but never asked if we wanted dessert.
My husband called the next day. Your manager made “excuses” for all of this.
The moral of the story-don’t go to Dolce Sicilia.
Great business lunch. Everyone loved the food and the price was reasonable!
The food was amazing, we wish the appetizers were gone over more thoroughly. We would of made a different selection if we would of known what we had ordered. In addition, our server was great at the beginning and then after we ordered our drinks our waiter disappeared for about 10-15 min. The bartender had to bring them to us, for they had been sitting on the counter for a while. Then once our food was delivered the service picked back up. Over all it was good.
Good food. Like most Italian it is overpriced. The lasagna has a quality meat sauce but the dish it comes in robs it of the crispy edges I love. The signature carbonara is good, but too "one note." Could really use peas and more pepper to go to the next level.
The desserts are all excellent, but at 9 dollars, too expensive.
Service is top notch, nice decor. I'll come back but it falls short of a true 5 star experience in my opinion.
Came for our anniversary and the Epic beer and we weren't disappointed. Our server was very friendly and helpful.
parking is difficult. food good but not exceptional. Initial service was slow but rectified later with more staff. Expensive for lunch if entree not shared. Opens rather late for lunch, needs to open at 11.30 rather than 12.00. staff friendly. good ambience.
The food was delicious! We’ll definitely go back, service was great!
We love Dolce Sicilia! We always say how they make you feel like family when you are there, and the food is always great! My kids LOVE the carbonara--from the prep at the table to the taste--they order it every time. If you haven't tried it, you are missing out.
We came for my wife’s birthday and it was awesome! The food was fantastic and the service was personable and fun!
Excellent food, did not disappoint. I wanted to try one of everything. We will go back there again soon.
Try the table side Carbonara. Simply amazing!
Food choices were different than what you find at the "usual" Italian restaurant (in a good way), very tasty and beautifully presented. The marinated fish appetizer was amazing. Service was low-key (unintrusive, but always right there when you needed him) and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back.
great food wonderful owners and staff--need more GMO/Non-dairy options
Love the atmosphere with the very friendly service, the strolling musician and the delicious, authentic Italian food.
First time visiting Dolce Sicilia after great experiences with Antica Sicilia. Food of course was outstanding. The hostess was very accommodating to help us change our table
Wait staff was OK at times as the food came out in a reasonable tine frame. Server was a bit rude but the meal made up for it
Loved! Carbonara prelates tableside in a giant wheel of flaming cheese! Being serenaded. Gnocchi. E erything was just fab.
Excellent food and service. Not the "typical" Italian fare, but specialty dishes were quite expensive though there are some lower cost options.
We LOVE Sicilian food, and this place did not disappoint! The food was fresh and full of Italian flavor. Giuseppe and his family make the experience feel authentic and welcoming. The calamari was fantastic, as were the salads (huge portions) and amazing entrees. The ravioli choices were delicious! Although the sister restaurants have similarities, Dolce Sicilia holds its own distinct personality. The Italian singer adds a unique twist that only enhances an already wonderful experience.
Food was good. Service was terrible. Probably will never go back. It took an hour and a half to get our food from when we ordered. Drinks took 30 minutes. No one apologized or let ya know what was going on. I had to ask the manager for our change.
Pathetic experience. Will never go there
We had a wonderful meal with great ambiance. Everyone went out of their way to ensure an exceptional experience.
Great food and very friendly people. Unique options authentically prepared.
Delightful. Authentic best service. I will return
