Dolce Riviera

Fantastic Italian food, served beautifully, in an unrushed atmosphere. The wine menu is tremendous. It started with excellent bread and cheese. We had salads, appetizers, and meals. Everything was tremendous. And the desserts were also outstanding. We may come back to Dallas just to eat here again.

The food was pretty good, pasta great.
Noise was loud and temperature was HOT! Server was slow and was rude when our table of 10 asked to turn the air down.

This was our second visit, and it was much improved on the first. On the first visit we had service issues. This visit the service was perfect, the food was delicious and we enjoyed everything about it.

Our experience at Dolce Riviera was disappointing to say the least. After waiting awhile for the waiter to first visit our table to bring us menus, We placed a drink order of two glasses of champagne. This was not delivered until after we ordered appetizers and our full meal. To start we had the octopus and the burrata, both dishes were fine but impressive. Before we were able to even get close to finishing our appetizer our waiter informed us that he had accidentally fired our entrees at the same time as the appetizers. Then immediately served us our entrees of Ahi Tuna and the White Truffle Risotto and our red wine. At no point did he make an attempt to take back the dishes and re-fire them for when we would be ready. The fish was bland and disappointing, however the White Truffle Risotto was a bright spot in a bad meal. It was delicious, though also a $60 risotto. Overall we will not be planning on returning, which is disappointing for a beautiful restaurant with great potential.

Food was excellent. Priced appropriate for high end Italian. Eddie was great server. Told him we had a hard stop for a show and he was able to get coffee and dessert squeezed in and bill processed in time. My pet peeve is waiting for the bill. Gratuity decreases the longer I have to wait. Outdoor seating enclosed for cool weather and with metal roof it can get loud, especially with 20 gals celebrating a birthday in the middle. For sure a repeat!

I knew as soon as I walked into this restaurant, I could live and die there...the ambience was cozy, warm and comfortable yet sophisticated enough for a business meal. Lighting is so key and they nailed it at Dolce with twinkle lights and heater stands with an open flame.

The food was equally incredible: homemade, authentic Italian. I ordered the gnocchi with a truffle cream sauce and it did not disappoint. I could tell it was handmade because ever dumpling was slightly different in size but equally as pillow and creamy. Each bite literally melted in my mouth. The shaved truffles were a perfect savory compliment to the every so slightly sweet cream sauce.

Lastly but certainly not least, the service was perfection. You could tell everyone loved their job, which just makes the experience even more enjoyable for diners. The hosts were even willing to charge a business guests phone for me while we ate.

I would highly recommend Dolce Riviera and will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Birthday dinner - delicious food and drinks - complimentary desert was perfect & for $100 I was thrilled with the entire evening despite the weather. Will be coming back.

Wife and I visited Dolce Riviera for the first time and really enjoyed it. The ambience is warm and inviting, the service was professional and the food was great. Looking forward to a return visit!

Birthday! Sooo sweet and accommodating

Dinner was excellent, and chef prepared cacio e pepe for us as we had requested. It was excellent along with the rest of the meal.

Food was great but there was some miserable trans music in the background. We asked to see the manager to tell him that the music was annoying but he never came to the table. We asked our waitress where he was and she told us that he went home. Not accommodating. Another manager came over and he was very nice and agreed about the music and said he would see about getting some beautiful Italian music in the future.
We will try it again as we did enjoy the food.

I have been to the restaurant several times. I am not sure if something was wrong, but the service was awful. It took 10 minutes before someone handed us a menu. Half hour to get our first drink that we ordered. The table next to us was even in worse shape than we were. They were apologetic, but it ruined a plan to have an amazing night. Not sure if I would consider the restaurant as my first choice to return to.

I met friends for brunch. The menu selection was good, food great, the patio is a must do.

I would return because the food and ambiance were quite good. The servers were friendly and helpful, but the coordination between them and the kitchen was way off. We received our entrees minutes after we ordered them and I had only taken a few sips of my pre-dinner cocktail. We felt very rushed, which not how I want to feel during a nice dinner.

I also want to share that when I make a note on the reservation that it's for an anniversary dinner, it would be nice for either the hostess or server to acknowledge that fact. Just a simple, "thank you for joining us on your special day" would have been sufficient. It's a simple way to make an extra connection with your patrons and keep them returning...

Finally, while we did enjoy the food, I would suggest re-working the tiramisu. It was one of the worst I've ever had. It was somehow dry and every bite coated my mouth with cocoa powder.

Cocktails were very tasty and the wine menu was excellent.

My daughter and I had the most amazing meal and wine at Dolce Riviera to celebrate her birthday!

Great space. Open, inviting and lively. Attentive servers and bar personnel. Would have loved to be able to sit in the dining room as opposed to seating in the bar area, but it was lively in there and generally comfortable. Only complaint was that my husband is a "big & tall" guy and the furniture in this area was obviously selected to give the room a bigger, less crowded feel so, for him, not so comfy. Complimentary bread was awesome as was the Frittura di Mare. For dinner Hub's selected the fettucini bolognese and I had the Sole special. (If you care, be sure to ask how much the specials are because I was a bit floored by the Sole's price tag.) The server took great care in preparing the fish, removing the skin and the tiny little bones. The wine steward was very helpful with a selection of wine. Very attentive and friendly group. We will definitely go back and reserve a spot in the dining room.

Wonderful Italian food! We had the special stuffed squash blossoms appetizer and Dover sole. Wonderful! Pretty, popular spot in Uptown. Would definitely recommend.

Love the setting, friendly staff, good food. The menu is a bit limited.

The pasta was awesome (duck ravioli and truffle gnocchi)! Disappointed in the whole branzino - it was too mushy and had a lot of bones after table filet. It was represented to be served with lemon, olives etc and none were part of the presentation or after delivery. Our server did provide a complete dessert - a very good tiramisu!

The music was way too loud and for a much younger might club like crowd than who were in the dining room overall.

Having been several times and truly enjoying the restaurant I was slightly disappointed this time.

Luv this restaurant and second time dining here. I travel to Dallas in business and took some clients for lunch. It’s so wonderful- food and ambiance. I’ve had dinner there and fun hang out. Everything is yummy.. it’s a must do!

Dolce Riviera is the most fabulous brunch spot in Dallas! Love the atmosphere and the food is consistently great.

Our waiter was phenomenal. So professional and dealt with our large group very very well.

The service was amazing, food was great, and overall experience was very good.
