Great place to dine, not a quiet place to relax for fine a dining experience. Loved Rita the hostess she really gives the Italian experience. Food is excellent so I won't get into the discussion on price I didn't mind the bill + tip. Highly recommend.
My husband and I went to Dolce for restaurant week. It was very busy but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was very flavorful but the tiramisu was EXCELLENT! Will definitely be back.
Excellent food. Will definitely go back there again.
Amazing food and atmosphere, the gnocchi and tiramisu did not disappoint, will definitely be back
Great restaurant went during Queensfest so it was crowded but will go back again.
This food tastes like you are actually in a little village in Italy. Everything we had from the appetizers to dessert was delicious. By making reservations through Open Table, we were sat as soon as we walked into the door. We highly recommend this restaurant over any Italian restaurants in Charlotte and will be returning often.
Everything about this place was just fantastic, will definitely be going back.
First time here and not the last. Everything was outstanding and the waiter Fernando was a treat!
Everything was perfect!
The food, the service and the atmosphere
The inside dining area is small and tight. But they have it laid out perfectly so that diners and wait staff can move around with crawling over each other. All of the waitstaff was the perfect blend of being very attentive (didn't have to wait for anything) but not inconvenient/annoying (at the table too often). The waitstaff was a wonderful blend of so many cultures; it was a pleasure to see them working so well as a team and hearing all of the different accents and languages. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed the special Queen's Feast menu. The owner, Rita, was all over the place! She was helping waitstaff, taking care of various things around the restaurant, greeting/seating, and yet finding time to speak to each and every diner. We even left our to go box on the table and when we went back they had saved it for us. I can't wait to go back again!
Overall a wonderful experience. First time at this restaurant for Queen’s Feast. Looking forward to going again.
My sister and I went for Charlotte’s Restaurant week and while there was a little wait during the check in, the food made it very much so worth it. The sweet older lady in the front apologized for the wait and the waiter did as well! AMAZING FOOD! Had the Dolce Salad, Lobster Gnocchi, and the lemon cake 10/10 recommend! Will definitely be back!
Excellent service and delicious food! We definitely plan to return. Highly recommend
Customer service amazing and food was excellent. The hostess was so pleasant and sweet.
Restaurant week everything was delicious. Great service.
Still best Italian in Charlotte! Handmade pastas every morning and such a varied and special menu!
Phenomenal experience. The service, the food, the atmosphere all wonderful.
So good! I’ve always wanted to try this place and so glad we did.
We went for restaurant week, and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was prompt and professional. We had a chance to speak with the owner, and she started the restaurant got overbooked due to it being restaurant week, but you would never know by their level of service. Beautiful experience, and we will be back!
Food was outstanding. Stuffed mushrooms, eggplant parm, lobster bisque soup, gnocci, ravioli, steak and desserts were awesome. But most of all, Rita was so kind to us. It took us 1 hr and 45 min to get from Fort Mill to Dolce because 77N was a parking lot, so we were late for our reservation. We called ahead several times, in a panic, and each time was told, don't worry we are waiting for you! Great food and good people.
Went for restaurant week and had a b l a s t! Great stuffed mushroom caps as the appetizer, skirt steak with au jus and mushrooms as the main, and a great chocolate dessert. Paired them with a nice bottle of pinot grigio and had a great experience. Service was impeccable and had a great chat with the proprietor. Looking forward to going back and exploring the full menu. Not to be missed!
Rita and Sid were wonderful. Their hospitality and personality made our experience extra special.
Great service! Good fresh food! Ms Rita was the initial delight!
Restaurant Week so we like to try nice places! I was impressed by the menu offerings for the event! It was packed but they did their best to accommodate our party of 2 reservation and we were seated within a few minutes of our reservation. The service was great and all the courses were excellent. We will be back and cant wait to try the regular menu!
Even though it was restaurant week and the place was packed, the service was great. Choices from that menu were numerous. We'll be back
Absolutely amazing. Very fresh abs tasty food!!!!
Great Food and atmosphere. Service was a little slow but that can be expected during covid. Highly recommend. Generous wine glass pours as well.
One of my favorite restaurants. Everything was going well until they kicked us out of the restaurant after 1.5 hours because they wanted the table. For this reason, I will never go back. Shame on them for treating the customers so poorly!
Excellent food and service. They were slammed full but pace of dinner was great. Fernando made an excellent recommendation for wine. Will be back.
The food was very good however the whole meal seemed to be rushed. The place is very crowded and with staff moving through a single path, it was not an enjoyable atmosphere. However, go for the food anyway.
Went on a Monday for restaurant week. The restaurant was very busy, but service was not affected, nor was the quality of food. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and personable. The owner greeted us at the hostess station and even though we were early we were seated right away. The food was amazing and accompanied by a small but very nice selection of wines. Enjoyed it very much!
The people and the food made us feel like we were back in Milan!
Absolutely phenomenal. Best gnocchi I’ve ever had and the flavors were outstanding. Perfect date night or special occasion restaurant with wonderful service and a cozy atmosphere.
Everything was perfect :)
Awesome experience. Great handmade pasta. I recommend the gnocchi!
Dolce Ristorante was superb. The service was friendly and prompt, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the meal was perfectly priced.
“Proprio casalinga!” …truly homestyle Italian cuisine. Tasty dishes that are updated but don’t stray too far from classic. A local following confirms the consistent quality Rita & staff offer. Went for CLT Restaurant Week but will return.
Food and service were excellent.
