Great food, good atmosphere, good people! Would go again
The best Italian food ( Italian way ) in Charlotte
Dolce's is where you go after you've wasted your money in loud trendy restaurants that you hear nothing but chairs scraping and people yacking and no music. AND, you leave hungry. DOLCE'S does it ALL right.
A friend told us about Dolce. We live in Huntersville and wanted to try it. It was worth the drive the food was excellent snd do was the service. My daughter in law is from Brooklyn and thought it was awesome. I highly recommend this restaurant .
Always love Dolce!!!!!L
The food was amazing! It's authentic Italian and the ambiance is like you are sitting in Italy!
Dolce ristorante is my favorite local Italian charlotte restaurant. Thank you.
Is one of the places that I never ask for the menu
We have never had a bad meal or experience at Dolce. Always great food and service!
This place is incredible! The ambience and the kind family atmosphere is lovely. The service was kind, professional and knowledgeable. The wine list is impressive! But WOW the food is exceptional!!! Every bite made you smile. So fresh and thoughtfully balanced. We had our honeymoon in Italy and their homemade pasta took us right back. This place is a gem!!
Every time I visit Charlotte I have to eat here. Closest to the restaurants I ate in in Florence. Great food and wine! Rita has been such a fantastic hostess.
We made a reservation a week prior to our dinner. We ended up waiting 45 minutes anyways to be seated. The restaurant does not have a good seating system and the owner complained about having difficulties with Open Table giving out too many reservations than the restaurant can handle at a time. The owner mentioned she tried to correct the issue for months, but nothing has happened. Not sure the accuracy here. She kept telling us a few minutes and she tried moving groups of 2 around to get us seated, but people wouldn’t move.
Sitting was a mess. Expect to wait on a weekend at prime time even if you have a standing reservation. If you don’t care, then it’s fine. We were running a half marathon the next day, so we didn’t want to eat late. The difference between sitting down at 7:15 and 8:05 makes an impact.
Overall, the food is really good and the service is fine. We got a free desert since we waited a while, but that’s about it.
I probably will find a new Italian restaurant to go to on weekends when it’s really busy. Not worth the 45 minute wait.
Excellent as always
My husband & I had a wonderful first experience at Dolce. The staff was most accommodating as we were a few minutes late due to road closures in the area. The food was wonderful, and it was honestly the best Italian food we have had in quite awhile. Our waiter, Chris, was so nice and helpful with suggestions. Will be back and would highly recommend to others.
The food was subpar ..I order the same dish all the time but I felt that this time it had hardly any flavor and I remember getting 6 shrimps not 4
The food was amazing.
Awesome on all account's great food, amazing service.
Out of town guests loved the ambiance, food and relaxed warm atmosphere.
My wife and I shared shrimp fry diavilo for an appetizer. I had linguine in clam sauce and my wife had penne carbonara with guanciale. Each might have been the best example of any we've had in Charlotte.
This was my 2nd experience at Dolce, and it was fantastic. I intentionally used the word "experience " as use of any other reference to dining would be an understatement. Their food, ambience, service are across the board incredible, but what separates Dolce from others is the interaction with Rita, the chef/proprietor. She establishes the sense of family during your experience. She is genuine, accessible, and most important, she creates the sense of family whenever you are there. I did not grow up in an Italian family, yet following each dining experience I felt more at home in the "old country". Superb experience.
Food was great as usual. Service is always good. This place is a go to for us.
It’s a small but cozy family space. The food & service is better than you would get at a place where you might pay 50% more. We found a new favorite Italian restaurant in Charlotte.
Best Italian food in Charlotte
Enjoyed the food good Italian and 4 of us have different foods, the plates were empty.
When visiting our Grandchildren in Charlotte it’s our favorite Italian Restaurant. Fresh made entree’s, service is spectacular! The owner came out just to say hi to the kids! They have been going to Dolce since they were babies!
Amazing, authentic homemade pasta! We were also able to meet Rita, who makes the pasta fresh, daily from her mom's recipe in Italy.
My meal, a special featuring chef-made pasta with scallops, shrimp, spinach and tomatoes was prepared in a heavenly wine and butter (?) sauce, was fabulous and my husband enjoyed chicken Marsala and raved about the mashed potatoes. We enjoy the pace of our meal - we never feel hurried when we dine here.
Excellent food, drink and service
We had a birthday dinner and the staff went all out. Complimentary preseco and a slice of cake. Dinner was fabulous and the chef out did herself with great table side service.
Great food! Great service! Family dining at its best!
Get away from the chain restaurants. Enjoy a true neighborhood gem. Food is excellent.
Reminds me of neighborhood restaurant in New York Little Italy. LOVE IT.
Delicious food & great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!!
All of my guests’ selections were the usual fabulous. My salmon was way beyond “medium”, which I had requested, making me wish I had said RARE that definitely would have gotten the chef’s attention. (You can always cook it more!!!!) the server offered to have it done over but it would have arrived when everyone else was almost done so I refused. The right thing to do would have been to refund of a part of the $23 cost. It was clear I only ate about 1/4 from the middle-thickest area. Disappointed since this has been one of our favorites. Poor customer “consideration”.
Dolce Osteria è diventato il nostro posto preferito italiano a Charlotte. Il cibo è sempre ottimo, pasta fresca, servizio cordiale, buona lista di vini e ottimi dolci.
When Rita greets you as you come in, it's like having your mother greet you for Sunday dinner. The food is spectacular and when the waiter tells you to get Rita's special made desserts, just do it! The tiramisu is the best I've ever had, as was the limincello cheese cake which was delightfully light. Can't recommend this place highly enough!
Great time here!! Service fast and efficient. Food delicious with the fresh pasta. We will be back!!
We don't eat out that much but when we do and want Italian we always go to Dolce. It has never disappointed us.
This place is Great !!!
