                                                              Dolce used to be our favorite Italian restaurant in charlotte. I don't know what happened but if I had to guess they may have changed hands. I ordered my favorite dish (pasta with clams) and it was prepared totally differently than before and not nearly as good. My wife had her favorite dish there which was chicken picata and the falor was gone; not much lemon or capers. Service was OK but not nearly as attentive as it used to be. Wait staff not dressed as nicely before. The whole experience was disappointing to say the least.

                                                              I wanted to like it based on the reviews but the food was just okay. I felt bad bringing family from out of town for the service to be subpar. We made a reservation for a Saturday night and were seated quickly but it seemed like they were understaffed. The waitress was nice but it took her a while for her to get to us and the food runners were visibly overwhelmed and tired.
