Dolce Ratings and Reviews
We went to Dolce on a double date before a movie. I will start by saying I gave us a little over an hour and a half between the reservation and the movie, which I should have probably known better. They weren't too busy when we arrived however our server quickly got quadruple sat and could tell they were short staffed. I think this probably was definitely a factor in the dining experience being two and a half hours - we were able to change the movie time and didn't really mind the leisure dining experience. Both Couples did the date night menu, I would highly recommend the risotto option they have (it changes), Also the Pork Belly Salad was great. I really enjoyed my Short Rib Cavatelli, although the cavatelli was a little more al dente than I usually like. My fiance had the pork and was a little disappointed that there was only a little pork belly and more of the other type of pork. The desserts were also very good - apple cheesecake and bread pudding. Our service was pretty slow but again I think they were understaffed and this was the cause. Overall I would recommend and I would like to try again.
This is our second trip to Dolce and were not disappointed this time. The food and service are exceptional. They explain every item in detail so there are no surprises when your food arrives. The "date night" menu is what my wife and I ordered and found it to be a great way to share each others dishes!
Everything was great except the food needed more salt. We were worried about offending the chef by asking for salt, because there wasn’t any on any of the tables. That’s the one thing I would change. I wish there was salt and pepper on the tables. Everyone has different palates and some like more salt than others, some are watching their sodium intake, etc. we like our food well seasoned and we didn’t get that. With that being said, we are almost everything in our plates. Next time we will just ask for some salt and not worry about offending anyone.
Three beyond-middle-age women enjoyed our dinner enough a month ago that we decided to return for a special birthday celebration. We're glad we did! The food was wonderful and nicely presented, the service was great and the wine selection was quite good. Overall, it was a wonderful evening with good friends, fine food and wine!
We've made Dolce our go-to spot for my wife's birthday and our anniversary. The food has always been excellent and different every time. The specials are always delicious and interesting - I have not found a place in Omaha that has a menu as intriguing as Dolce's. It is pricey but every time we go there we admit that it is well worth the expense.
I love Dolce. This is one restaurant that is able to accommodate to my restricted diet. The chef is AWESOME. Staff are nice. Food always great. Thumbs up to the chef. Beautiful presentation, delicious n fresh. Desserts are to die for! Whenever i go out with my family n friends i choose Dolce. I recommend Dolce to anyone looking for a lovely fine dining.
Chef Anthony continues to impress us with the creativity of each entree prepared, wine pairings with multiple courses, and his explanations of each course when he delivers them table side. I loved the squash and goat cheesecake with prosciutto in tonight’s first course. The tasty surprise was the tempura thyme! It was savory and flavorful. Probably the best prosciutto I have every had. In the second, the salmon was perfectly smoked and seasoned. It reminded me of Norway. The duck breast with porcini linguini and fresh truffles was earthy and sensational with the slightly Spicey La Boheme Pinot Noir. The Pinot honey with the smoked pork and Jarlsburg grits and fennel made me want to try his version of shrimp and grits sometime. The final course of coconut rice pudding with pears took me back to my childhood and my Grandmother’s coconut rice pudding which I haven’t had in over 40 years! Each course paired beautifully with the Elk Cove wines from Willamette. Thank you for a wonderful culinary experience and personal touch!
