Dolce Ratings and Reviews
Three beyond-middle-age women enjoyed our dinner enough a month ago that we decided to return for a special birthday celebration. We're glad we did! The food was wonderful and nicely presented, the service was great and the wine selection was quite good. Overall, it was a wonderful evening with good friends, fine food and wine!
We've made Dolce our go-to spot for my wife's birthday and our anniversary. The food has always been excellent and different every time. The specials are always delicious and interesting - I have not found a place in Omaha that has a menu as intriguing as Dolce's. It is pricey but every time we go there we admit that it is well worth the expense.
I love Dolce. This is one restaurant that is able to accommodate to my restricted diet. The chef is AWESOME. Staff are nice. Food always great. Thumbs up to the chef. Beautiful presentation, delicious n fresh. Desserts are to die for! Whenever i go out with my family n friends i choose Dolce. I recommend Dolce to anyone looking for a lovely fine dining.
Chef Anthony continues to impress us with the creativity of each entree prepared, wine pairings with multiple courses, and his explanations of each course when he delivers them table side. I loved the squash and goat cheesecake with prosciutto in tonight’s first course. The tasty surprise was the tempura thyme! It was savory and flavorful. Probably the best prosciutto I have every had. In the second, the salmon was perfectly smoked and seasoned. It reminded me of Norway. The duck breast with porcini linguini and fresh truffles was earthy and sensational with the slightly Spicey La Boheme Pinot Noir. The Pinot honey with the smoked pork and Jarlsburg grits and fennel made me want to try his version of shrimp and grits sometime. The final course of coconut rice pudding with pears took me back to my childhood and my Grandmother’s coconut rice pudding which I haven’t had in over 40 years! Each course paired beautifully with the Elk Cove wines from Willamette. Thank you for a wonderful culinary experience and personal touch!
We had not been to Dolce in quite a while and were pleased with our experience on a rainy Friday night. The service was great. We were allowed to enjoy our conversation without numerous interruptions. While we knew our server was there when we needed/wanted her attention she did not hover or try to hurry us. The menu was varied and appealing and our order of Wagyu beef tortellini was perfection. I'll not wait so long before going back to Dolce :)
The portions are perfect to provide the breadth of experience we have come to expect at Dolce. The "date night" option provides great value and helps you to make a decision. Always consider the specials! Requests such as decaf coffee with dessert comes as two French presses!
Hands down an AMAZING experience! We went to Dolce to celebrate my birthday and did the Chef's Tasting Menu. Ambiance of the restaurant was perfect, not to loud, not to quiet. Cozy and I loved the decor. We started with cocktails and our wait staff was right on top of it, always making sure we had a drink if needed, but did not hover over us. Our meal was extraordinary....each dish was beautifully presented. Chef explained the dishes as they were being served, informing us on locally sourced ingredients. Our favorite dish was the duck breast with butternut squash purée and broccoli rabe. However each dish wowed us. At the conclusion of our meal Chef Anthony spent some time discussing his path to being executive chef/owner. I highly recommend Dolce for all your fine dining. We will definitely be back!
Fantastic! The black bean soup this day was incredible, and I know we've had many fabulous soups there before. This was my first time we had the schnitzel and it was so perfectly fatty and delicious. The vibrant lemon and kraut were perfect companions, too.
This is one of my husband and my very favorite restaurants to eat at in Omaha. The food is always delicious and well prepared. On the night we went my husband got the special of the night a fillet of sole dinner. He did everything but lick the plate ! I had the Wagyu Flatiron steak off of the date night menu and it was tasty as always. We got the special appetizer of the night a risotto that could have stood in for dinner in any other restaurant. It was mouth watering good. We both had the cream of asparagus soup before our entree and it was also quite delicious. Our meal came with a desert and we chose the Granny Smith apple cheesecake. It looked almost to pretty to eat but we did manage to finish it off! We love, love ,love this place and always look forward to the time when we can purchase a Groupon to help with the cost. This place is special and I hope they're around for a long, long time.
This is one of my two favorite restaurants in omaha. We go monthly or more for the tasting menu. It was one of the few times where I didn't appreciate one of the entrees, a "cupcake" filled with lamb. But that's more of a personal preference, just as I don't like goat cheese. I don't like the aftertaste. It still holds a spot as #2 in my list, and I'd recommend it for a high end experience.
