   This place is the best sushi spot in town! We frequent here and love it every time. They never disappoint throughout the whole visit, from the service to food everything is amazing!!

   The food was fine, not special. Service was slow. The volume when we arrived at 6:30 was medium, but when by 7:15 we could not easily hear our companions across the table. We will not come back soon.

    Everything was so beautiful and delicious. We celebrated an early valentines and had such a wonderful time thanks to Frank our server. He was excellent and made things so smooth for us. Will definitely be requesting him on our next visit.

    The calamari was EXTREMELY chewy and over-breaded. Tasted like it came from a bag in the freezer. The kimchi pancake had good flavor, but was huge (overly) and doughy. The sushi was very mediocre. Not very fresh and rice not prepared correctly. The service was fine, but she had no idea what a dirty Martini was and brought me a sweet martini with a twist, twice. The second time, I specifically said I wanted olives (AKA dirty), and she brought it sweet with a twist and olives. Yuck. The flash is there at the restaurant, but the fundamentals are off.

    Having dinner with friends I hadn’t seen in a year. We came to this restaurant as it was highly recommended. Our Reservation was at 8pm. We didn’t get our food until 9:20pm! It was ridiculous. No manager came by to apologize, nothing. It was a shame for as expensive as it was.

    Informed us they ran out of salmon over an hour after we ordered. Ran out of rice. Finally brought food and found bones in the sushi. Made it right by comping our meal and Tori our server was a doll but we probably won’t be back. Not the first time the wait was ridiculous either. 8pm reservation and we didn’t leave until 10:30.

    Calamari was overcooked and rubbery, two fried rolls we ordered were so hard they were difficult to eat. Nice atmosphere and friendly server.

    The decor was outstanding! Food was great especially the Gimbab, we also loved the Boston Rolls. Prices are a bit high so we won’t go more than once a year.

    My absolute favorite place to eat and hang out in Corpus Christi. The ambiance is romantic yet hip, the service is top notch and the food is superb. Want to impress a date? This is the place. Want a cool place to hangout for drinks? This is it. Seriously, come to Doyko, you won't be sorry

    Of the dishes ordered, only the Sushi nachos were great. The noise level is unacceptable in the dining area! Either find a way to isolate the diners somewhat…or plan to lose dining patrons to the competition. Also, the service was pretty bad. 10 -12 minutes to get drinks served. You may get one more chance with our group.

    I made a reservation to bring an out of town friend in before a concert. I had been to Dokyo dozens of times and always had a good experience prior. Dokyo was too busy for the staff to keep up which led to slow service and food being delivered that was basically cold. The sushi chefs were backed up for 45+ minutes so that killed getting what we came for. We were there over an hour and managed a round of drinks and appetizers. The server was pretty rude at the end of it all explaining that the slow service is regular and should be expected. Very disappointing!!!

    Our waiter was on a roll with his attentiveness and suggestions. Our appetizers and drinks were excellent. Then came the main course. We were a party of 10 and this was an office party. When the Barbeque beef don was delivered to the 5 who ordered it the dish was barely warm . I was disappointed for I had had it on several occasions and it was scalding hot in the ceramic bowels. How the wait staff could not notice is beyond me. Once I complained the manager discounted them and had new meals served. This should never have happened .
