    We had dinner on November 24, party of 7. Our waiter Francisco was phenomenal. He was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and very friendly. He took time out to explain different items on the menu. He is a big asset to your establishment.

    Catalina was a wonderful server. She was very sweet and attentive but gave us space to enjoy our meal. Very friendly and made good suggestions.

    We came here 1.5 years ago and had a extremely great experience. But not yesterday! Drinks are watered down. The sushi was quality of a gas station and we couldn’t eat it (for safety reasons). The Korean dish was nice, nothing great. Appetizer was covered in salt. Will never go back! The service was outstanding though. We were hungry after and went to Whataburger. Also not sure why they had to take my credit card for reservation for such experience. I was expecting elite dining when reservations are made with credit card number.

    We were very rudely greeted by the manager. We had originally made the reservation for 8 people. Three of those ended up not being able to come. I called twice that day leaving a message to let them know that we would be a party of five, not 8. This woman was extremely rude, rolling her eyes, and arguing with us that we would need to pay a $20 no-show fee since 3 of our guests did not come; while the five of us were standing right there.. we were not a no-show! Finally she said she would waive the fee only this once, still speaking very rudely. There were very few people in the restaurant. 95% of the tables were open. It was a Sunday night. Instead of seating us at the table that was already set for us for 8 people, she had us seated all the way in the back of a side room in the dark right outside the restroom. We ordered drinks from our very polite waiter and then asked for our check after finishing our one drink. We left and went elsewhere to have dinner. We will not be going back to Dokyo Dauntaun. Very unreasonable, unprofessional, unnecessary treatment by this lady who I believe was a manager.

    Good drink menu though odd to advertise Fall 2023 drinks and not serve them. Squid and gyoza appy top notch. Sushi just ok, nothing special. Service was not great, missed orders, slow kitchen, slow refills, slow clearings, etc. 4/5 star prices for 3 star experience.

    Our server Frank had the most welcoming smile. He was very accommodating and explained everything we needed explained from the menu. The suggested the restaurants version of the Ol’Fashion and it was amazing. The roll he suggested was equally as delicious- he made our experience that much better. Great service- great good- great prices and a fresh cup of coffee brewed for us to enjoy with dessert … my BFF was very happy.

    Amazing food and atmosphere! Great drinks and helpful staff. Our server helped our friend settle on the perfect sushi, another saw us struggling to take a picture and pointed out a few spots to get the perfect pic, and another staff member even helped us set up a ring light and took out pictures💞

    Our server, Katalina, was gracious enough to clarify some gluten free options for us - immediately the ambience feels underground and not another chain restaurant. The drinks transport us to what their name suggests. The Monsoon had a very melancholy feeling, like on an island coast on an overcast evening, awaiting imminent storms. The sushi was excellent, great textures and flavors. If you plan for dinner and drinks, it can get pricey, but for date night or special event it’s worth many recurring shots.

    Great sushi rolls and great drinks. Excellent service from Tori, Holden and Jaylen while sitting at the bar. Tori makes a great Emperor’s Old Fashioned and the Paradise Roll was so tasty, had to get ONE TO GO!!!!

    Used to be our favorite sushi spot in town. Service was slow, and waitress completely messed up our party’s dinner. We didn’t get our full order and a couple people never got their food. They still tried to charge for everything ordered. Maybe the waitress was a bit overwhelmed but the manager really sucked. Unfortunately we won’t go there again…Aka Sushi is right next door so we’ll give them a shot at the title!

    Wouldn’t seat us because one person in our party was running late even though we wanted appetizers and drinks. Took 30 minutes to get our drinks and none of the food came out at a reasonable time and one person in our party didn’t get their food so had to get it to go. Cool place but the service sucks.

    Tries to bill itself as upscale. The venue, locale, staff, service, and food were all very acceptable. I would’ve enjoyed the experience more had the quality matched the self-certain pretentiousness.

    The food was overpriced for the quality as were the cocktails. All of this would not have led me to put them time and effort into writing a review if we wouldn’t have had such a poor experience with the manager. The policy is an additional $20 fee for any change to guest reservation. I can understand that if the restaurant is slammed but we were one of three tables. Multiple tables walked in without a reservation and were sat and our table was casually pushed together when we got there. So when we asked the manager if this could be considered she was extremely rude in her response and walked away abruptly. I love supporting local restaurants in CC, TX but we will not be back here.

    Aside from a mountain of dishes on the bar this place was great. The bartenders had no help with dishes and were only able to was what was needed to keep up with drink orders. Several servers and other staff walked up, rearranged the dishes and walked away without clearing or helping.

    Food was good service was great. I hated the table we were sat at. I’ll need to make sure to note that I never get seated there again. It was warm and hidden I felt congested in that spot
