Dōjō is a new Izakaya & Saké Bar from the team behind Michelin rated, James Beard Nominee, Zitz Sum, located in Coral Gables, Florida.
Heavily inspired by our love for small Japanese bars, good quality seafood & all things cooked over charcoal, Dōjō brings together hospitality & familiarity to a space that is comfortable and inviting, designed to be inspired by Japandi interior design with bauhaus accents.
For us, Dōjō means the path & the way “Dō” and the time and place “jo”, tied with the concept of Ichigo Ichie which means “ in this moment, an opportunity”.
Relentless hospitality, excellent food & beverage; and being present in the moment are the core values of what the Dōjō experience is all about.

Food is very good but to pricey for the concept “izakaya”. The portions are very very small and have the same price as a regular size portion in a restaurant. Good food but definetly not coming back. Too expensive.

Service was quite shaky, our waiter did a poor job of keeping up with our needs for drinks, etc - we saw the (wonderful) food runner more often than our waiter by far.
