Located on the main floor of the Historic Ariel Hotel on Broadway, built in 1923, Dodie’s restaurant brings Lorain its first Italian-influenced coastal fare dining. Our menu takes what we love from traditional seaside food and gives it a contemporary, Italian twist.

Dinner was absolutely amazing… started with the orange Italian soda and bruschetta. Truly the best lobster roll I’ve ever had! Lindsey gave great service and we can’t wait to go back!

Food was so delicious, and our waiter (Mitch - I think) was wonderful. After dinner we had a drink and dessert at the bar which had great live music. Will definitely be going back - worth the drive!

Service was amazing! Lindsey was very knowledgeable. Ambiance superb! Music best I've heard in a while. Food prices a little higher than average, but, this is fine dining & cooked perfectly! Huge wine list. Will be back for a happy hour.

We've eaten at Dodie's twice. The first time we had simple sandwiches and fries. They where very good. The second time we decided to try fish and chips and the prime rib special. Fish and chips where average tasting. Not worth $25. Prime rib has something on it that tasted spoiled. Absolutely not worth $35. Two other tables that we know of sent the prime rib back.

Started our meal with the Lobster Bisque which had 2 claws of meat in it and was delicious. The Ahi Tuna special was excellent as well. We finished with in house made cheesecake to share. Our waiter Mitchell was very attentive. We will be back.

I love this place! It never disappoints. The filet is great and if you have a chance to get the French fries you should always do it. They’re delicious. Their drinks and service are great and the live music in the bar was wonderful.

Our blackened mahi-mahi was not really blackened and the portion was quite small like 4oz, the skirt steak was better but still rather small portion for the price. The restaurant usually has good food these were the specials that night. The service has been so-so every time, they need a good hostess/ front manager the wait staff all wear their own jeans not a uniform color with black t-shirts - doesn’t come off as very professional more like what you’d see at a brew pub.

Came here for the first time to celebrate my boyfriend’s graduation and had a lovely experience! Service had us feeling a little forgotten, but they aimed to make up for it at the end of the evening by comping a dessert. Will return!

This restaurant is an under-rated gem. It has become a tradition to go here on special occasions. I would put this restaurant up against some of the more popular restaurants in downtown Cleveland. Hats off to the chefs.

Dinner was very good. Appetizer did not come out before dinner and was cold. Before we could address it the Chef came out and appologized and already had it removed from our bill. Our server was fantastic and we look forward to coming back again.

I am so glad to have such a nice restaurant in Lorain. We usually have go drive to at least Avon for this quality. I love the drink list and the specials are always a culinary treat made well. We continue to patronize this establishment and tell our friends about it.
