The award-winning Tea Room at Doddington Hall offers an exquisite Afternoon Tea experience that promises to be a treat for everyone. With an array of options, it's a perfect setting for indulging in a leisurely afternoon with friends or loved ones.

Nestled in the Coach House under the magnificent gaze of the Elizabethan Hall, our romantic Afternoon Tea offers a perfect blend of charm and sophistication. Served on vintage-style china, you’ll savour freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, an exquisite selection of Doddington’s signature sweet treats and an array of delicious sandwiches with the option of additional extras and upgrades.

Choose sittings from; 12.00pm, 12.30pm, 2.30pm or 3.00pm.

Please note that your table is available for 1.5 hours from your booking time. We recommend pre-booking online to avoid disappointment. Walk-ins subject to availability.

there was a great deal of oat products on the gluten free afternoon tea and no macaroon which has no flour in it very odd, but over all a small but very nice meal.

We were shown to our table, given a couple of different menus (one sweet/one savoury) to choose from and were told we would have our table for 1.5 hours! It all felt rather rushed. Tea was served quickly, but with no extra pot of hot water and the food was brought out very quickly indeed. My guess was that the platters were already made up ready to take to the tables, hence the dry sandwiches. The Afternoon tea was the most expensive I have had (£30 pp) and the food was average. The sandwich bread was on the dry side and the cake selection was drab (macaron, beetroot cake!, a madeleine (plain cake), chocolate and lime tart (very nice). The scone with cream and jam was however very good. We were told tea/coffee was unlimited, but weren’t offered a top up.

Although our 1.5-hour table limit is noted at booking, we apologise if this felt rushed. We take pride in our freshly prepared food made using ingredients from trusted local suppliers, so it's disappointing to hear that some aspects of the Afternoon Tea didn’t meet expectations. Had you brought these matters to our attention during your visit, we would have been more than happy to assist you and rectify the situation at the time. Lovely afternoon tea. It was well organised, with everyone arriving at the same set time. The team working were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.
