    We reserved a low top and we were sat in a high top, not a big deal. The server was nice, friendly and knowledgeable, but the bar-tender (or manager, I think?) who came to the table seemed grumpy, or maybe just really focused, not a big deal. There was not a large food menu, (It's a speakeasy and not a restaurant, per se, so I get it) which was a shame because what we ordered was great, so not a big deal. I paid 20.00 for a shot of Buffalo Trace (I had another at Firebirds later for 12.00), again, not a big deal. Overall it was good, though the target market may not be us (mom and dad out for a night). The ambiance was awesome and very cool, complete with a "secret entrance(that had an awesome hostest behind it, who was very cool)" and someone setting up to play music. A very cool experience, albeit for special occasions for us "old people."

    I love this little bar. It Is the perfect place to go after an evening out or dinner date. Fantastic drinks and usually an artist playing an acoustic guitar. I can think of no place better to go in Wichita.

    We showed up for our reservation, which we made earlier that day. When we arrived there wasn’t a table available and ended up in the back room, which was sort of ok but not what we reserved (high top). I don’t mind spending extra money for a drink but I felt like it was missing something. Maybe a single ice cube in the whisky drinks? I don’t know. I expected something different. Our server was super nice, and busy. It took a long time to get our drinks but I get it. Overall.. not terrible but I probably wouldn’t return.

    Live music was a little off key, when they took a break, music playing over the speakers was entirely too loud, felt like I was shouting to talk to my friends at our table. Host yelled at us for trying to order at the bar, only 1 waiter for maybe 40 people, so service was very slow. Menu didn’t mention automatic gratuity of 22% (wouldn’t have been an issue if we knew about it), our party of 3 only got 2 drinks total so it was kind of a shock and it felt very deceptive to not have informed us. The drink I got was average at best, should have been much better for the price they were charging

    Made a reservation and when I showed up, they didn’t have a table for me. I was literally plunked down in a corner chair with no table and was mostly forgotten about. Cocktail was great but for $17 (they added 22% gratuity automatically) it was only a half full coupe glass and wasn’t worth it.

    A bit lackluster. Interior is okay. Service was efficient but not at all welcoming or friendly. This was especially disappointing considering the 22% gratuity automatically added to your bill (we were a party of 5). Needed to adjust my reservation total and it was extremally difficult to get in contact with anyone to change it due to the limited hours. They also failed to respond to an email request for the same. Wouldn't go again.

    The live music was WAY too loud, we were seated right by the speakers. The sets just didnt end and it really ruined our experience. I saw multiple parties leave because of the music honestly. The service was slow, but we ordered drinks and 15 minutes later the server said sorry I forgot what you ordered and never put the order in. Thats crazy. The appetizers were pretty good, but it took 40 minutes to find out that tiramisu was not available after we ordered it. Will never go back. This place has gone way down hill and is apparently all about the bad live music. Really bad vibes.

    We had a reservation for 8:30 pm. I had inquired about food via phone and was told we could order off the upstairs restaurant menu. This was not so and the Dockum menu is very limited 3 burgers and wings. The burger was fair… thin, dry and not worth the high dollar price. If you’re going to have a limited menu and not allow patrons to order from the upstairs restaurant, you should do a great job on the few things. One bartender and a bunch standing around doing nothing made for slow cocktail delivery. It’s definitely not like it was prior to COVID.

    The drinks were amazing. Charcuterie board was delicious. House music was on point. House band not so much. The house music was what you’d expect to listen to at a speakeasy. The band played country which is not what I expected or wanted to listen to.

    Underwhelming. Service was decent, 22% gratuity automatically added to check. The Smoking Gun does not come with a souvenir bottle as stated on the menu. They discount the drink by $2 but it’s not worth it imo. A few of the drinks were good but we’re all overpriced. Food options are not what’s stated on the website. The only options came from the hotel restaurant and were very limited. There are better options in the area for drinks and atmosphere.

    I first experienced Dockum in 2018 while I was living in Wichita. I have been dreaming of the Mrs. Parks cocktail since then. I convinced some friends to road trip from Kansas City with me just for this bar and that drink. It was no longer on the menu and our waitress seemed confused when I asked about it so I ordered another drink and moved on. Rose brought a few of the drinks to our table and so I asked her about it as well. She asked the bartenders and Maria was able to make it for me. Our visit was everything I remember it being - great drinks, fun atmosphere, and outstanding service. Thank you, Rose and Maria, for making my dream come true!!

    In the basement of the Ambassador Hotel there's an establishment that's an artistic celebration of a prohibition era speakeasy for unique cocktails or fine dining. Excellent staff.

    It was fun seeking out the Dockum in the basement of the Ambassador Hotel. We were seated close to the live entertainment. The ambience is reminescent of days gone by with lowered lights, dark leather seating and an old fashioned bar. We did not order food but what we saw at other tables looked delicious. The drinks we ordred were amazing! My bf ordered a drink in which the waitress lit an orange on fire at our table and ran the burnt rind around the rim of his glass - so fun! It was fairly busy when we went (on a Saturday night after a concert), and the waitresses did a good job of getting around to everyone. It's a small room and the live music was a bit loud as it was hard to talk but we were there for the experience not chit chat. It's a fun place to go especially on special occasions.

    Hostess and bartender was courteous but male server was horrible. Waited 30 minutes before he finally asked for my order after walking past me three times. I am assuming that he is not use to a minority being in the establishment.
