In keeping with Maine's Covid 19 protocol; Dockside has screen porch and patio dining. We also have take out and a unique option for you to enjoy your take out by bringing your beach chairs, corn hole game and your well behaved and leashed dog to picnic on our harbor/ocean front lawn. All food and beverage must be provided by the Dockside. No reservation necessary for the take out and picnic option.

The approach to the Dockside Restaurant is all part of the Dockside’s charm. You are treated to views of the York River and the grand “summer cottages” as you turn onto Harris Island Road to reach Dockside Restaurant.

Chef Dennis la Planet has been recognized as a “chef’s chef”. North Atlantic seafood prepared with a northern Italian influence and aged steaks are just the start. Lunch features organic salads, creative sandwiches and traditional favorites; fish and chips, chowders and fried clams too

Love the ambiance, great view of the harbor. Friendly staff. I had the stuffed haddock which was outstanding. Would highly recommend.

Celebrating new beginnings with family. Our food was amazing. The Harris Island Haddock had perfectly seasoned stuffing and tender shrimp. Ryan offered impeccable service! We love your bread, sounds simple, but so yummy. Absolute best view and ambience anywhere.

We arrived prior to our reservation time, our table was not ready so this was understood. We were sat and the restaurant was operating at 50% capacity so it was slightly busy. 15 minutes after seating our server came to our table with water and left returning about 5 minutes later to take our beverage order. Beverages showed up about 8 minutes later, (we were sitting very close to the bar) we ordered appetizers at this time, appetizers arrived 18 minutes later timing decent would it have been packed, but crab cakes and chowder don’t take that long to prepare, so not too pleased. We placed our dinner order this arrived 30 minutes later. My duck was crispy however I have 20 years in the restaurant business, so I could tell my duck had been deep fat fried, (taste of fried oil) then stuffed placed in the oven, there was no glaze as stated on the menu but duck meat did retain some of its flavor. For $29 I would expect some more vegetables mostly haricots vert with six slivers of carrots very thin and small. Good color but needed more. Stuffing was decent would it have not been dried so much and crunchy from being in the oven too long. Our server was pleasant, and engaged in conversation very brief. After dinner we waited for an additional 15 minutes for our check. Understanding under our new restrictions some difficulties adjusting, but we have been dining out at restaurants in the area that face the same and timing has not been an issue. Overall experience on timing: 7:15 reservation seating, 9:00pm departure time. 1hr 45 minutes. Just feedback on experience, I will try a visit again, these things do happen in the restaurant business as I am aware. Thank you

My family of 8 had a very enjoyable dinner at Dockside. Brian and Melissa were very accommodating and friendly. Food was as usual outstanding. Look forward to this visit every year, so glad we were able to take part this year in our annual visit.

We have been coming here for 20 years and have never been disappointed in the food, service, ambiance, and the warm welcome always offered. Especially with the Covid restrictions in place, we did not know want to expect. The Dockside made any changes just about seamless...paper napkins in place of cloth, packets of salt and pepper in place of shakers and fewer selection of offerings but there is something on the menu for everyone with a few new additions and nightly specials. As always, dinner was fresh, delicious, and warm; service was attentive, and overall the entire experience was superb.

Terrible experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out 50 minutes later without even having a chance to order in that time. Poor service and incredibly inexperienced and immature staff. Ruined what we had hoped would be a special evening

food was yummy. I had the drunken lobster... I don't usually eat lobster but was in the mood for something "Maine". It was delicious. Light, tasty. Would order it again tomorrow and the next day! My husband got the short ribs. He liked them. I have an amazing recipe for short ribs that I make every Christmas eve and they are hard to beat so he is spoiled. The mashed potatoes were lumpy so he he didn't love those. All in all, it was really pretty, very quiet and a really good experience. I'd definitely go back!

Reserved a table for two outside seating for 7:45 pm Saturday night , hostess seated us at7:40 and we our drinks and appetizers by 8:05 , which was perfect and very good. The rest went downhill from there. Did not see our waitress for another 45 minutes, in fact she delivered bread to the table next to us but never offered us any. I had to go in and ask the hostess if they forgot about us, she apologized and said she would have the manager come to our table, well the Manager went to the table next to us and apologized to them while having a 15 minute conversation with that table all the while my wife and I are still waiting for our meal. My wife did flag down the Manager who reluctantly came to our table never apologized for slow service just made exude that there was a function being held, and quite honestly we found him very rude. Finally got our meal at 9:25pm. The food was excellent, the view was fantastic, but the service and management treatment was awful! I never write reviews as a business owner I thought someone at this establishment should know this. I usually tip 20-25% for great service at a fine restaurant, but could barely bring my self to leave a 5% tip for this experience.

I thought I made an outdoor patio reservation but when we arrived, they told us we had to sit inside. The menu was limited to what is usually available but the food we had was good. We started with a beet salad which was very good. I had the haddock which was stuffed with shrimp in a lobster cream sauce and my husband had tuna which was served with an arugula salad and orzo. I would try to go again when the menu had more choices.
