Service was excellent, food was above average, the view was outstanding.
Excellent food, excellent service and excellent price. We will be going back!
Great lunch on a sunny day on the deck - good crab cakes
Outdoor seating on the water on a beautiful day to enjoy birthday celebration & steamed crabs. One problem, the flies outside were horrible. Our server, Nicole, suggested that we move inside & set us up with a view of the water! She was amazing. Always checking to make sure we had all we needed but not overbearing. The crabs were fabulous. The service - outstanding! Would reccomend Dock of the Bay to all our family & friends.
I am sorry to say that it was not good at. We ordered two dozen crabs and at least a dozen were paper shell with no meat inside. The ones that we did eat did not taste good at all. The crab cakes and crab soup were excellent as well as the service. We have had crabs there multiple times this year and they have always been great but not this time. We will return again.
The ambience of the restaurant is fantastic! The service was below par especially considering there was only a few people eating. Somewhere between the kitchen and waitresses the sandwiches were not correct. Three out of four people dining weren’t happy with their food. Bland was the complaint. As much as I like the view I’ll probably never go back.
Stacie waited on us again and the service was awesome The food was great as usual everything we have had here has been very good. We also saw Jordan she is also awesome. It is very nice to get great service with big smiles on there faces. We will be going back again soon.
We have been there several times this summer and the crabs I had Saturday night were great. Full of meat and seasoned great.
Such a beautiful setting. I love bringing friends here. Great place to introduce out of towners to Maryland seafood and the Chesapeake Bay.
The crabs I have had everytime I've been have been so nice and full and great flavor. I've also had the crabcakes and they're like I like em...no filler and allow the crab flavor to come through.
I do and will continue to recommend this sweet lil spot.
Beautiful location with view on the Bay - this is why we have gone there a few times.
But the food, including the steamed crabs, are not great at all. After coming back a few times hoping for better quality (e.g hard to find carb pieces in the crab dip), we have unfortunately decided to give up hope on having good food there.
I love the bay and the food......🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀.
Waitress was wonderful. Even talked with me before my guest arrived.
It was a gre
We were unable to keep our reservation because the air conditioning was broke. Hopefully it will be fixed the next time we go.
Our second experience the following week was excellent. Food and service was great.
It had to be one of the hottest days of the year. The air conditioner stopped working but eventually came back on. Selection was limited but the food was good
Will return before summer ends.
Kitchen did not follow instructions and fried all of the seafood. Had to wait to remake. Wasn't busy enough for that kind of mistake.
Crabcakes were full of lump meat with little filler!
Everything was fine except for what was suppose to have been a crab fluff. It was just a fried crabcake. Asked waitress about it and response was that it was a crabfluff. It didnt look like the picture at all on ur website menu items. The po boy fried shrimp sub was very small and the nachos, well what can i say - but - Yuk!!. My sisyer got a soft crab sandwich which was tough to chew - not crispy at all.
Food was ok....I expected more, being from the Baltimore area crabcakes have a high bar (old bay is your friend)...the view is great. But the only problem we had was when we sat on the dock they opened our table umbrella and spiders were everywhere so we ended up eating inside on a perfect day.
Perfect setting for a relaxing Sunday afternoon date or family dinner. Relaxed atmosphere, right on the water. Customer service was on point and the food was good and plentiful. No complaints!
Awesome food! Amazing views and ambience and decent service! A wonderful find that certainly solved my craving for great seafood!
Waitress was busy with her 60 group party and not our table of 5. Didn’t give our credit card back we found it in the register machine because we couldn’t find our waitress. We asked the guy cleaning the table next to our to refill our drink.
5/16. It was Father’s Day and the whole family got together.
Our service was very good. Disappointed that when we arrived steamed crabs weren't available, it was early evening on a weekend. We ordered the Crab Fluff. I'm old school and have enjoyed crab fluffs at many restaurants. In our opinion crab fluffs are crab cakes dipped in thick batter and deep fried. These so called Crab Fluffs had absolutely no batter on them. They were simply crab cakes that were deep fried. That was a real disappointment. Side dishes of coleslaw, creamed spinach, fries and cucumber salad were very good. Our appetizers, hot wings and baked potatoes covered with crab dip were all very good. So I suggest the kitchen give the Crab Fluffs the batter they deserve.
Food was pretty good, we did order the Brussels sprout appetizer and the menu claimed it was vegetarian and then it came out with bacon on it, other than that the food was good.
My family and I stumbled on Dock of the Bay by accident when I misunderstood where my brother suggested I make reservations for Mother's Day. What a wonderful mistake! The food and service were impeccable! All 6 of us agreed that we would definitely be back and recommend Dock of the Bay highly.
Went for lunch on Mother's Day, seemed really unorganized. "Host" (didn't catch his name) claimed we missed our reservation, so they gave my table away in the main dining room (Until I pulled up the reservation on my email and even then he never really acknowledged he was wrong) despite the fact that there were a ton of empty tables. I totally understand that they might have been reserved, I guess they must have been no shows though because they remained empty throughout our meal. Since our table was "given away" to a walk in, we were seated in side room. Which happened to be the room where they seated larger parties of like 15+. This particular party had 3 kids that were literally physically fighting and slamming around the shuffleboard pucks. Not in the restaurants control at all, however you want a quieter experience I'd suggest you request a table in the main dining room! My mom is hard of hearing so it was a little annoying. Our server was awesome, it was her first day and she was great! I wish I remembered her name. We got crabs which were meaty and delish. We had planned on wanting a table outside but since there was a torrential downpour which foiled our plans. No biggie! We still had a good time but I think they might need a little help on the reservation/management side of things. Probably wouldn't recommend to friends unless they get their act together in that aspect. I'm sure the outside dining on the bay is probably really nice this time of year! Maybe we'll try again on a non-holiday.
Nice spot on the water. Crab cakes are amazing and the view is incredible. Definitely going back!
The waitress was very attentive, very pleasant! The food overall was very good, however, I got the Poe Boy Shrimp Wrap and it was a little too salty. All in all I would return!
We found Dock of the Bay on the map, gave it a try and will totally go back on a warmer day, when we can sit outside on the dock. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious!! A hidden gem!
Food was poor quality and cold. Went for Easter dinner and had a party of 8; we were all disappointed and left hungry. I complained to management and all they said was they will do it differently next time. Well for us, there will be no next time
Very nice Easter buffet. Great waterfront dining.
First time and we enjoyed the food and views.
This was our first visit to Dock of the Bay. It will not be our last. If looking for fancy or gourmet, bypass this place. If looking for good honest atmosphere and food this is the place. It's not on the way to anywhere but it is worth the trip.
Food was pretty good atmosphere was nice server was young and little slow to check up on drinks and things like that
went for restaurant week. Waitress friendly and attentive. Nice view of the water and sunset. Food plentiful but mediocre. Chicken dry. Crab cakes little seasoning and way too many shells. Ran out of the advertised dessert but replaced with vanilla ice cream which tasted freezer burnt.
We came for a Thanksgiving buffet. The waitress was friendly, attentive, and always made sure we were ok.The food was so go,if I wasn't full,I would have eaten more.We sat by the window,I watched the water, then the moon go up.The other employees never took a break ,the place stayed clean and buffet stayed full.I loved it.The price was so reasonable, for all you got.
Really fantastic value for scratch-made, delicious Thanksgiving dinner. $18.95 for adults and $8.95 for just, all the trimmings, and every bit as good as my own homemade dinner.
Regular menu rocks, too.
We went for Thanksgiving dinner the buffet was tasty and hot. Everyone in the restaurant was friendly and the view of the bay is wonderful. Was a lovely dinning experience.
Very accommodating. My family and my first time there. Recommended by a friend. Food was very good! We were there for the special Thanksgiving menu. Waiters were attentive but took longer time to check on tables. I think because there were few waiters that day?? Although longer time to check on tables, there were no stressed-out moments! Whenever you ask for something, they were very accommodating and not seeming as if they were being bothered. It was a very out of the way place for us but it was worth it. I would dine here again.
Service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive but not overly so & friendly. My fish & chips were delicious with a crunchy light batter.
The one caveat, the place smelled off to me. Could be a sour towel used to wipe tables or the dampness caused by being so close to the water. I freely admit I am sensitive to odors so it might not bother others.
