Our server was the BEST! Wish the menu had more items.
A great experience and the food was excellent.
Good food and service but was disappointed by the limited menu.
Poor and indifferent service. If they think $13 is a fair price for Hendricks Gin and tonic, they damn well better know you use cucumber not lime. Tried a mole dish with mushrooms. There was no side dish offered so I got a puddle of bland green/black mole with mushrooms dumped on it. Had to go find my own salt and pepper because wait-service, well, forget about it. Have to think back a decade to remember a less impressive restaurant meal experience
Restaurant in the Famous Taos Inn. Limited Menu, mostly Mexican fare, but very good. Margaritas are excellent.
Excellent preparation & presentation. My favorites on the menu, and it was all so good, were the trout plate & the chile relleno plate. You won't be disappointed!
Fun atmosphere....great Margaritas!!...sat too close to speaker...great Hatch Green Chili sauce!!
A bit pricey for average quality food. Staff was really friendly and helpful.
First time dining out in a long time. Our server was very friendly and courteous. Food was barely warm even though we were warned the plates were very hot. We were hungry and didn’t want to wait. We did tell server after we had paid. We split an entree which they served on two plates and we appreciated that. Appetizer, wine, margarita and the chili relleno meal came to $60 w tip.
Good food and friendly service. Good cocktails.
Pretty low key casual Mexican food. Menu was good despite the noticeable limited size post pandemic. Really had a great waitress that made the meal enjoyable and lively. Hope for a good comeback to its glory days of berry soufflés!
They did a great job of keeping everyone safe without making a big deal of it... We sat on the patio and were offered lap blankets as the sun went down; we dined and stayed longer than we maybe should have ;-) and were very comfortable. Oh! And the server (Jeremy) and the food were both amazing!
We’ve just recently moved to Taos, but this will surely be a go-to place for us!
Carne Asada was excellent.
Lovely meal. Generally good service, they did try to serve our main course before the appetizer, but no big deal. Good magueritas! Not much was done regarding the birthday celebration at our table, which was a shame. Overall, I would return, and my group was happy.
Our server Daniella was wonderful and made great suggestions. It was our first time in, and everyone was very welcoming. My husband and I enjoyed all of our food. Especially the relleno.
Would definitely come back when we are in Taos.
Outdated atmosphere. Boring food. Bad service. Margaritas were really good though.
The service was incredible and the food was equally as good. I had the trout and my date had the enchiladas. She had wanted to go here for 3-4 years but it had always been too packed to get seated. A little planning and a reservation made it all come together. Tree hanks to all that made our experience truly memorable.
The menu was not extensive but the food was excellent. I would call it predominantly northern New Mexican. The Apple Crisp with homemade vanilla ice creat was a great finisher. Watch out for the Spanish rice; it is pretty spicy and not bland!!
Doc Martins is an overrated restaurant. I would classify it as an upscale bar. In fact, the hostess tried to sit me in the bar area and I refused to be seated there.
The menu is extremely limited and contains a lot of heat. I will not return to this restaurant. I recommend Lambert's for fine dining.
In this time of Covid there was just too many people on the patio and I think many of them were from out of town and I worry that they hadn’t quarantined for 14 days.
Main menu lacked choices. The special of the day was the way to go. Salmon was exceptional.
If there wasn't a special of the day, tacos was the choice of which you could get anywhere in New Mexico or the southwest.
Service was exceptional, Sirkist was our waiter and he was very attentive.
Interesting place. The portions were very generous. Atmosphere casual not exactly warm. Good food.
Food was good. Service was terrible. Our waitress was rude and dismissive. Our appetizer, salad and entree was brought out at the same time. When we asked about dessert the waitress said the kitchen was closed and we were lucky we were served since we were seated so late. We reminded her we had an 8:30 reservation and arrived in time so did not understand the comment. She said the kitchen closed and I don’t make the rules. We complained to the manager so hopefully he can offer some training. I will not go back and will tell others going to Taos to dine elsewhere
We went to Doc Martins in the middle of all this Covid ickiness....we sat outside....the live music was great and thankfully so was the weather! We had a lovely server and a very nice meal. Glad we went!
Outdoor setting very nice during these Covid times.
Great meals, food was very nice. Service was good , but slow but with COVID they're doing the best they can with their stations inside and tables outside. Gave us more time to visit with family.
Not much choice on the menu - nothing at all but mexican flavors - not what I expected from the name. Food was fine.
Place was mostly empty in this time of Covid-19, but the food was excellent and the service was great.
Chile rellenos are as good as ever and the pork belly tacos are a real treat.
We had cocktails and an appetizer on the patio. The service was good she was very efficient. We had chicken nachos which were delicious. We listened to a musician play guitar and sing in the garden area he was awesome.
Although Covid19 has taken away the lovely live music and happy hour food & drinks we used to enjoy over the many years of coming here, it was still an old time favorite! Glad we were in town from Colorado to make more memories with delicious food & margs at Doc Martins.
We had a special steak that was very tender and delicious. The chile mushroom sauce was sort of a spicy gravy. It was very good.
The only drawback was parking. We had to park a ways away because we couldn’t figure out where to go.
Food was great. Chile relleno is excellent. Service was nonexistent. The outside lights where we were seated turned off for the night & we were still waiting for our check. First cocktail was good...second (supposedly same drink) tasted like a kids juice box drink with no alcohol.
Very good food and service
Seriously a great experience!! Jeremy was an awesome waiter!
The atmosphere of the place is fantastic especially if you are in the inner courtyard. Food and personal above the expectations !
Very special place! Love the food, best margaritas, (so hard to find these days), very accommodating wait staff. Love the back patio. So glad you are open!!
Trying to be patient during covid
The service was great. The food is always fantastic! I’ve never had a bad meal. I think Chef Naite does a great job and the presentation is nice too. Thank you!
We dined al fresco. The service was great, and the food better. We had perfectly cooked meals and will return as often as we can.
