We have 2 Semi-Private dining rooms available for large parties located in the back portion of our restaurant. While most of the restaurant is laid out "shotgun" style, these two rooms open up to a spacious area with a contemporary yet rustic feel.View Private Dining Details
Great food! Fun specialty drinks. We were a party of 10 and service was spot on!
Great place to grab a bite before or after events at The Yum Center. (Highly recommend making reservations if dining on a night with Yum event)
Nice atmosphere. Staff does a good job getting you out in a timely fashion to attend downtown events, especially ball games at the Yum.
It was great!
Good atmosphere for end of the day get together. Great food!
When I arrived the service was good, but as it got busier our service disappeared. I noticed a lot of employees walking around empty handed; who pays people to do that? Bar staff spent a lot of time not working as well.
Great experience. Noisy but overall enjoyable
The occasion was a birthday with four adults and a 3-month old. Everyone was very courteous, the food was good, and we were made to feel welcome. Two of us had been there for lunch a week or so earlier, and the food and service were excellent both times. It helps to make reservations, as we did, even on mid-week evenings - the restaurant is very popular, including with out of town visitors.
Killer food, service was good not great. Had an overall enjoyable experience!
The burgers and Po Boy sandwiches are delicious and generously portioned. The chips are too spicy for me personally.
Great meal for students and Myself while at a conference . Portions were huge!
good time had a bad waitress but nice restaurant
Still craving the lima beans and pimento and cheese appetizer. Also love the pulled pork tacos. Very attentive service even during a busy lunch.
We celebrated my husband's birthday at Doc Crow's, and overall, it was a great experience! Our server (Courtney?) was attentive and friendly, without being intrusive; and the environment was pretty chill. Our Black Mule cocktails were poured generously, and the potato chip-based version of a barbeque nacho plate was not only delicious, but also much larger than we expected.
The only misstep I noticed during our meal was the Caesar salad with shrimp that I ordered for my entree. The salad itself was very large (so large that I had enough leftover for a second entree-sized lunch salad the next day), but only had six average-sized shrimp. While the dish had wonderful flavors, the giant pile of lettuce on my plate unfortunately seemed to emphasize the small serving of shrimp that I'd ordered with it. My husband, on the other hand, had a nicely-portioned serving of shrimp and grits, which he said tasted perfect. So perhaps their salad portions just need to be tweaked.
That said, we would totally eat there again. The menu has lots of interesting options, and there are definitely other dishes I would be interested in trying.
Overall brisket is to fatty
I believe that DocCrows has good food, but I just really ordered the wrong thing (stuffed baked potato) because my mother’s meal was very good (catfish platter).
Great food in an awesome environment!
I'm ready to go back!! This was my first time here, absolutely delish!
Great location, bourbon menu, ambiance, food and service.
Loved EVERY MINUTE. Celebrated my 30th birthday the staff (Trish and Rachel) were excellent and my family and friends enjoyed ourselves and will be back.
Great bbq and chips. The pulled pork, brisket and St Louis ribs were excellent!
I find myself in Louisville once each year for business and Doc Crow’s has become my favorite spot for dinner. The casual vibe, friendly staff and great food are the perfect antidote for the travel weary. On this visit I started with their Kentucky Colnel cocktail and Oysters Rockefeller. Both were fantastic. I had the salmon entree which was perfectly cooked and came with sautéed spinach with a lemon cream sauce and cornbread stuffing. The slight sweetness of the cornbread paired very well with the salmon. My only regret is that I won’t be back for another year.
The food was delicious. The waiter was outstanding, he went out of his way to explain the menu and options we could get. We never had to wait for anything. He offered exceptional service to me and my family. We were there celebrating my sons birthday and he received a complimentary dessert. I would highly recommend restaurant to friends and family. We will more visits to the restaurant.
Had an excellent meal before the theater. We had the pulled pork nachos and I had the house salad with Salmon.both were terrific. My friend got the Caesar with grilled chicken.
I had an old fashioned and it was excellent, light and tasty.
This place is huge! Waitress was amazing, food was great, and the atmosphere awesome. I'll be back!
We had a nice meal. Great location too
Great ! Will go back again
This was our first visit to Louisville. Doc Crow’s is a must go for great southern cooking. Wife had the Oyster Po-boy and I had the chicken one night and brisket the next (we had to go back). Oh and the chili. Terrific is all I can say. You won’t be disappointed.
Interesting local flavour, friendly service, casual atmosphere.
Great meal at a great venue
Dirty walls, taped up booths. Looked tired and unclean. Very small portions on the meats.
Mashed potatoes and hush puppies were very good.
Food and service were excellent! Would highly recommend the ribs, Mac and Cheese and shrimp and grits.
There were six in our party and this was the first visit for all of us. Everyone loved the food, service was great and we all plan to return.
Awesome mussels and oysters. Great brisket as well. Great tasting food, enough said.
Brisket Tacos and Lima Beans were great! We had a leisurely meeting over lunch and the server was very good about allowing us to linger as long as we wanted.
Always love the oysters and unique menu options. We love having special date nights like anniversaries here.
I've been here a few times, and it's always been great. I took my boyfriend for the first time, for his birthday and he really liked it. He had the fried pork chops and said they were awesome. I had the pulled pork sandwich, and it was just ok. I'd had it before and loved it. This time it was really wimpy. There was hardly any pulled pork on it and a bunch of it was fat and cartilage, that not only looked really gross, but was inedible, leaving even less meat. Luckily I didn't eat the bun and just ate the pork, slaw and fried onions off of the sandwich, so I didn't bite into the weird meat parts. I had beans and okra for my sides, which were an up-charge for one and an additional cost for the other... they were both good. And my cocktail was fantastic. Overall I do like this place and will go back. I will just more cautious of what I order.
Downside to the place is how sides aren't included with a lot of entrees so adding a few sides can really rack up the cost of the meal. Wish they would add more sides to meals, most other local, similar, places do. I mean if I got two sides included with a meal, I would be more apt to buy an additional cocktail or dessert. Just something to consider.
Dinner this last week at Doc Crow's for the first time. The food was excellent. I will be back!
A great barbecue and raw bar! The food, especially the pulled pork, was amazing.
Was a enjoyable experience other than the server she seem to be in her own little world I would have second thoughts if she were my server again.
The food and the service was outstanding!
