Doc B's Restaurant + Bar - Dallas
Third time visiting. Reliably good food. New and modern appearance. Enjoy!
The food was amazing! Staff was very friendly!
Great date night place! Got seated immediately and the service was great.
Really liked the quiet atmosphere and the scenery with the restaurant being right on the corner. Not a lot of seating but the place wasn’t overly full. Located in a great area downtown. Wait staff was very nice and helpful. Bet knowledgeable about the menu. Food was very good. We ordered Cajun fish sandwich with regular fries and turkey burger with sweet potato fries. Only complaint is the fish sandwich could have had a little more kick to it but everything was very tasty. Overall really good experience.
We had the crabcake tower and shared steak frites and brussels! Highly recommend all of these things! Sweet potato fries were delish. Our service professional was prompt, polite, and gave great guidance on menu. We will definitely return.
A bit loud, service was just ok. Food was average nothing special.
Took my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day, the service was awesome. Our waiter was super knowledgeable on the menu. Not annoying and not always over my shoulder trying to take my food .. haha pet peeve. Definitely coming back , food was excellent and priced well.
We had an excellent dinner. Our server William was superb! He gave us great recommendations! Everyone was very polite and happy to be there! We will definitely be back!
Delicious & great as usual!
Nothing special for Valentines though.
Had a great dinner with two friends - Get the meatball for an appetizer and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. California salad is my favorite with chicken!
I love this restaurant! It has the best food. The atmosphere is fabulous. The wait staff is very good. I think it is the best tasting food in Dallas! The menu is great. We started with sweet potatoes and guacamole. Delicious! I had the chicken salad and my husband had the Chinese bowl. Very good! We went to this restaurant in Coral Gables and now we found it in Dallas. I am so glad it is here! Love it!
Great menu and friendly service. I have been a couple times now this seems to be a consistent experience. Nice place.
The grilled artichokes were perfectly tender. The salmon wok & woll bowl was wonderful! We also loved the Brussels Sprouts salad. The portions are very nice sized. We started out for Happy Hour, and the drink value was fantastic!
Nice room and friendly staff. Unfortunately the food was only so-so. Over dressed, yet not very flavorful. Good chocolate cake.
Great place to enjoy with your partner. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
We went for a date night last Saturday and it was absolutely perfect! The staff were all so friendly and down to earth. They made us feel immediately welcomed. My husband got the Number 6 sandwich (to die for) and I got the wedge salad with petite filet. The filet melted in my mouth. We started with sweet potato chips and guac. The guac was fresh and tasty and the serving was huge. Highly recommend. We will be back!
Love the service and the food!
Great service with clean and healthy food! Chicken and waffles were the best!
Great new spot in town.
Burnt food. $20 burnt charred artichoke hearts and $20 guacamole with $15 drinks that have no alcohol and are full of ice. Classic chain restaurant.
If the Perry’s pork chop is a 9, this is a 2. Thick layer of burnt char on the outside. I could not cut it the meat was so tough. Will never go back. Not if they gave it to me for free. Who wants charred burnt food?
Sister outing and we had such a lovely time
We really enjoy Doc B. Food has always been great. Pork chops’ taste, quality, and price cannot be better; that’s my husband’s to-go entree here. Last night, one of the featured dishes was a Korean short ribs: they were delicious, tender, rich. It came with mashed potato, but I asked for steamed veggies instead. Our appetizers last night were the super yummy artichokes and the shrimps, both tasty. Now, why 4 stars? Once we were seated, we were asked if we wanted tea, water or anything else to drink, without giving us an opportunity to look at the menu, so we asked for water, expecting to be asked again once water was brought. Sadly, with water in hand, we were asked if we wanted to order any appetizers. After ordering our 2 appetizers, the server started to leave. I had to ask if we could also order our drinks... Food came looking and tasting great, all at the same time and I always appreciate that, but we were never asked if we needed anything else, which we did. Consequently, we had to get our server’s attention again to order another drink. She was cordial, but service was not the best. Another aspect preventing me from giving them 5 stars is the chaos that forms around the host’s station with people waiting to be seated. Difficult for the restaurant to have any control of the people waiting to be seated, specially in a cold night, but makes the experience less enjoyable. We will return because food is great, hoping to have great service and ambience.
Music/noise level too loud for conducting a conversation. Sun/brightness level against windows made it uncomfortable (too bright)
Food was outstanding (as usual) and service was friendly and attentive (as always)
To be clear, my guest and I love doc bs. We will go back. Just had a terrible experience service wise. We ordered a wok bowl with no mushrooms...it came with mushrooms...we sent it back, waited 7-10min for another to be made...manager brought it over, dropped it off, did a double take because he could easily see there will still mushrooms in it. Instead of trying to fix it, he walked off. We sent this one back and they finally fixed it.
I had ordered the salmon and while trying to be courteous to who I was eating with, I waited to start, thus resulting in my food getting cold.
The did comp the wok bowl, which was the right thing to do.
Like I said, we love this restaurant, I will go back, but can’t expect service to improve without giving feedback.
We went here before a concert at American Airlines. It was a great date night. The food was good and different than many places. American with an Asian Fusion.
One of our guests was delayed on his flight, and the staff was very accommodating in the service. It was very much appreciated.
The pork chop was dry.
Food and server were good. The people at the entry were not very friendly. Were greeted almost rudely with reservations. However our server and the food were good. Much better atmosphere at Ft Worth location
I loved this restaurant! Super fresh and so many great options. The California salad was light and refreshing! My friend ordered the Filet Wedge and enjoyed it. Drinks were on point and had a great seat near the window. They do validate parking which is a must in Uptown! Great recommendations and the staff was attentive.
New favorite restaurant. We had the Wok out Bowl with Ahi Tuna, spicy Thai sauce and quinoa. Unbelievably delicious! Also had the crabmeat tower with avocado which was delicious as well as the California salad with tuna. Two of us split these dishes. They were very generous in the split. More food than we could eat but we wanted to sample them and now we have leftovers to look forward to tomorrow for lunch. Spencer, our server was young, cute, and enthusiastic. We really enjoyed his attention. Chef Brandon surprised us with a luscious birthday dessert, the double chocolate cake that was moist and rich with a wonderful jar of cold milk. Great touch. The decor was so fun with three giant colorful pictures, a mixture of AmericanaTexas , over the gorgeous bar. Really great night! Thank you, Spencer and Brandon. Looking forward to the new happy hour from 4:00-6:00 Monday’s through Fridays with $5 wine specials as well as five small plates for $9:00. We’re sold on Doc B’s. Healthy and delicious!
We were excited to try this restaurant concept but it fell short of our expectations. We had the fish sandwich and lobster roll and both were just ok.
Appetizers were excellent. Enjoyed the salads. Healthy alternatives. The atmosphere was fun for family and friends. My new favorite spot.
Very friendly staff. Food was very good.
The food and service is always fantastic!
Our server was extraordinary! The food was fresh and flavorful but not unnecessarily complex.
Greeters gave us a warm welcome and promptly showed us to the booth. Service was excellent and the food was even better. Jumbo lump crap stack was a phenomenal start to a memorable evening. California salad and trout special were both delightful. Will definitely be back!
Service was great. Carnitas sandwich and burger were great. Fried chicken was tasty but mostly bread. Lobster roll was not good either - you could not even taste the lobster since the slaw, mustard, and nuts were overpowering the whole thing.
We greatly enjoyed the dining experience at Doc B’s.
