Dobson & Parnell is a bustling, smart, reliable and grown-up restaurant on Newcastle’s vibrant quayside. Its understated elegant dining room adds a touch of Victorian glamour and comfort.

Specialising in perfectly-executed, refined European cuisine, using ethically-sourced local seasonal produce direct from nearby farms and markets, the sustainable kitchen specialises in preserving techniques such as curing, smoking, salting, brining and fermenting.

We are listed in the Michelin Guide, voted in the top 10 list of restaurants in Newcastle by NGI and listed in the Good Food Guide & Hardens Guide

    Absolutely fantastic! Food was amazing, service was brilliant. We had the wine pairing which was complimentary, which was amazing. Wine pairing was well explained and really did match the food. It wasn’t that busy which was surprising for a Friday and with the wine offer on. I had the trout starter, pork and bean stew for main and sticky toffee for dessert. The bean stew that came with the pork was amazing, I’d love to have the recipe. To sum up, it was fantastic, get yourself there.

    Fabulous food. We had the set menu and the flavours were so imaginative. Plenty of choices for vegetarians, but the winner was the sticky coffee pudding. Lovely attentive staff and just the right amount of time between courses. It's our favourite restaurant.

    The food was excellent, very good value for money. We both had the trout for main course and it was good to perfection. The service was brilliant.

    Loved it Will without doubt be returning Staff were all charming and attentive Had set menu with wine pairing, everything was wonderful Not cheap, but worth every penny

    Had a lovely meal, food very good. Service excellent. They had an offer on for a wine pairing which I really enjoyed. Not done this before and really complemented the food. Pricey but nice.
