This place is CLOSED
This had been one of our favorite restaurants. We made a reservation on open table for 8pm on April 10th. We arrived to a closed restaurant! We were extremely disappointed especially since we were able to make a reservation! I assume the restaurant has closed down and failed to let open table know. Really unacceptable
They did not receive their daily shipment of food.... so only half the menu was available..... but I found it strange they did not have rice....and rice you can buy at a regular store... the waiter was not the best but the food was great!!
This is the right place for special occasions
One of my favorite spots ever! Thanks chefs and crew.
Beautiful space and good food. While food was good, main dishes are over priced for portions served. Drinks def overpriced for pour provided. Probably wouldn’t return.
DOA has some of the best sushi, ceviche and tapas-style Asian fusion that I've had in Miami. Run, don't walk to get there.
We had an 8:00 reservation and we were seated right away. The restaurant wasn’t really busy, but it was very dark. We noticed many people in the restaurant who needed to use the flashlight on their phone to see the menu. We ordered drinks, an appetizer and our entrees. The appetizer came out first followed by our entrees and we got our drinks last which I wasn’t thrilled about. We ordered a crab “roll” and it was 6 small pieces of crab in a shell. The food was good, but the portions were small. It was just not the experience we were hoping for.
Food was great. Lots of choices and delicious flavors. Drinks are not a strong suit for this place and frankly we felt ripped off by the slick talking bartender. I’m a big believer that if you charge a customer $16-$20 per drink how about actually putting some alcohol in the drink. 4 drinks and $78 later and we were done with that.
Foos is great and alway special, you need to order a lot and spend a lot to get out without needing a pizza. Service could be better .... they automatically charge 18% which is much more tip that i would leave.
Great experience! Food and ambiance were exceptional!
Other than not having hot sake, it was great!
Amazing tastes, amazing crab preparation and maki as well. Originality and tradition. Really a place I recommend . I’m French and know quite well the meaning of “cuisine”....here its really a high quality cuisine
Amazing waitress (Cathy) but was hoping for as good a dining experience as Coya and was not as wowed by the food.
The food was delicious. The service was very efficient. The bartenders were the best and attentive!
Great food with excellent service. The tuna was amazing.
I live in Miami Beach and I'm not a big fun of going out for dinner at south beach because most places are overpriced in general.
I went to DOA for my anniversary with my wife and we were looking for a place with good food and good ambient. Well I can say that this place offered amazing food, ambient and the service was great. I would say prices are the same as most places in south beach but you the night was perfect.
I do highly recommend this place if you want to go have fun and get good food.
The only recommendation: stick to the house cocktails.
The service was very poor . The waiter did not advise us that the kitchen was closing and forgot many items of our order. At the end most of us were still hungry ...
Horrible service......... waiting 10’ to order drinks
The restaurant was closed
Food and ambiance was great! First time there and showing my friend around town
Loved the space, the decor and the music. Food was very good, but nothing amazing. Expensive for what it is...
Cool place, nice ambiance, tasty food. Very small portions so order generously.
This place was amazing, the service, menu, and such great flavors. It’s a gem to be returned
to for sure. Weekends DJ has one of the best selections of music to be found for a rounded audience , and just the right volume that you can still have a conversation with your table mates. Suggest you save space for dessert, equally superb.
Great bar and open kitchen. It’s pricey but worth it
The food was great but the portions were extremely small.
The ambience is great too, there was a dj playing.
Honestly the service wasn't great, no one ever checked on us. The food was fine but a similar menu to so many other places in Miami. Also the sushi came in 5 pieces and it made it unsatisfying to share with others even though it's supposed to be small plates and tapas. I wouldn't go back
Excelent, grest service and great dj
I was on New years eve
Great food and service
Food was great. Went there for New Years Eve. Surprising good food. We enjoyed the choice of the New Years Eve menu.
I had to wait for over 1 hr to get a table with a reservation of course
Excellent Asian food --best hamachi ive ever had. The staff are all excellent.
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere.
The service was perfect and the food was very tasty! I was suprised to see this restaurant practically empty as it was packed the last time, but then realized why. Right at 10pm the music sounded like a club and our conversation Immediately came to a halt. We asked tonhave the music turned down and the staff aaid the DJ wont turn it down. This was shocking and disturbing We paid the Check and left and will never return.
Always amazing food and great service! Love this place
I expected more from DOA. The food was quite ordinary compared to price. The restaraunt was almost empty during 19.30-22.00.
Impossible to have a conversation without shouting
Nice menu. Portions too small. You leave hungry. Prices high for what you get...
