Exquisite and creative food and very friendly service, One of the best food in the Western states.
Great food but slow service... I think CB is overwhelmed with tourists and suffering from a lack of help.
We were seated 25min after our reservation time despite multiple, visible tables open and then watched a couple come in without a reservation and get seated immediately.
Sadly, the quality of the food did not make this poor service worth it. The food was disappointing especially the seafood which did not taste fresh.
The only thing that stopped our dining experience from being 5 star was they were short staffed. All the food we tried was exceptional. The cocktail choice was limited but they had an adequate wine list. The food was a little on the pricey side but well worth it for a special occasion.
The food here is the best I have ever had. This was a truly exceptional dining experience.
Great food, service, and location. Like the small plates.
Food was awesome and unique. Small plates only. A bit expensive for the portions. Only major complaint is that waitress required us to order all courses at once, and then they come so rapidly one after the other that we were rushed. If I ever went back, I would insist on only ordering a plate or 2 at a time so I could dine at my leisure.
Attentive wait staff, prompt service and excellent food!
Brandon our server/bartender was great! Will definitely come again next time in Creates Butte!
This place is awesome! Highly recommend if you are in the area. Django is at the top of my all time fav restaurants. It’s that good!
We loved this place for the quality of the food - creative, presentation and taste - and ambiance. The menu is designed around shared plates, but unlike some places where you get a tiny bit on each plate, these were much more substantial. We had a group of 6; 10 plates left us full and satisfied. And we did share one yummy dessert as well. Be sure to tell your waitperson how you want your meal paced. We felt things came a little too quickly as we wanted to savor each dish. The only knock - we felt the wine was a bit overpriced for what we had.
Excellent meal as always; service was a little difficult at first but finished great. Had great wine and food was delicious
We celebrated my birthday dinner at Django’s. The food was exquisite and the service excellent. We had five dishes which we shared among two people. The duck breast and pork loin were outstanding as was the creme brûlée.
While visiting Crested Butte for a quick vacation, we had the opportunity to dine at Django’s. They have an incredible menu of small dishes, or tapas, that you can share between 2-3 people. We were blown away by the quality and flavors of the dishes, which were not necessarily Spanish, even though the tapas concept is. Their wine list is pretty good, although no whites from CA, which I found to be a little odd, but had a very nice white from Spain. Only hiccup we had was the bartender’s understanding (or lack thereof) of English, so my husband got a drink that was not anything close to what he ordered. Note also that some may find it to be somewhat expensive @ about $125 pp, including alcohol & gratuity, it was well worth it!!!
We were four couples and we ordered a variety of tapa style dishes. We were pleased with all of them. Healthy choices and fair size portions. I would highly recommend this great dining experience.
The chef is very creative and I love eating a variety of small plates instead of one main course.
Very happy with this restaurant. Attentive and friendly server. My daughter and I shared three plates and it was plenty of food. All very good.
Fabulous food. Super fresh. The green beans with pesto, roasted pine nuts and plums was an explosion of flavor. Loved the creme brulee with lavender too.
Such a great spot. Love that the owner was on point. He was super helpful I. Prefer I g wine and very personal. Food was delicious and just enough. The tip situation was unique. They pay the wait- staff hourly (a good wage) and your not expected to pay tip. For sure will be back.
a tasting. sharing menu with very creative preparation. Everything is delicious and every taste is unique. wonderful owner and staff and absolutely fabulous food. not cheap but worth the price and experience.
This restaurant is amazing! We have been here several times and I always leave with a happy tummy. The food is excellent. I have nothing but praise for this restaurant.
We were with a group of 10 friends celebrating friendship! Our server was fabulous! She save us wonderful recommendations and knew just the right amount of food we needed. Her recommendations were spot on! We had a lovely evening and the food was FABULOUS!!!
Third time dining here and D'Jango's continues to please with excellent and creative cuisine. The seasonal items were delicious but the crispy Brussel sprouts and cherry-topped short ribs are my perennial favorites (foods I dream about even when I'm not in CB!) Service is always friendly but this time - it seemed the wait staff was out of synch. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks and we had to wave someone down when we were ready to order. Oh well, food is so good we will try it again - hopefully, with better service next time!
Unique and mostly tasty food, though a bit overpriced.
Service was somewhat poor. They have runners who bring out the plates. No one ever checked to see if we wanted anything else, other than refilling our water glasses. We waited a long time to order desert, but after taking our initial order, we never saw our server again. Eventually we gave up and sent someone looking for her so we could get our bill and leave.
Delicious and creative dishes. The bass was off the charts! Liked the small carafe wine service, better to pair with the variety of the small plates. The space is lovely too. Highly recommend!
Magic!!! It’s a shame that we weren’t able to taste every dish on this menu..guess it just means we have to return!!
Great atmosphere, service and food. We always have a great time here. One of my favorite restaurants in CB.
Last year we ate at this restaurant and found the food wonderful! This year flavor was lacking and portions were just too small even for sharing. Would rate as average.
Everything was great. It would have been easier to visit with our friends if the music was a bit lower.
Special dinner with our 11 year old grandson. Everything was perfect!!! We ordered flat bread (his favorite) , brussel sprouts, Date with a Pig, sea bass and short ribs. Loved everything.
We never fail to visit D’Jango’s when we are in Crested Butte.
Yummy food. Small plates designed to share. Brussel sprouts, quail, mushrooms, fresh salads, steak frites.
Although I can not fairly rate the food because we did not stay long enough to even order any of it, I can rate this place on other factors. We made a reservation because the place had great reviews and the menu sounded good. Upon walking in, there was no hostess in sight for nearly 5 minutes. The other staff looked miserable and did not say a word to us for the first few minutes that we were standing there. The table that we were sat at was tiny (there were 3 of us and the table was meant for a max of 2). The metal chairs and decor was very cold and not cozy at all. The servers were cold and unfriendly. As we were looking our printed out sheet of paper which looked to be printed from a home printer on white paper without any plastic covers menus, and after noticing the extremely overpriced wine menu, we decided to leave. It was very disappointing because we were really looking forward to a meal there...but there are certain things that go too far that we refuse to put up with. For those prices we expect a far superior atmosphere and comforts. The place looks like a fast food joint charging fine dining prices. One of the Spanish wines was listed for around $80/bottle and can be bought in Spain for around $5/bottle. No thanks. We will just save a GENUINE TAPAS meal with MUCH LOWER prices and a much better atmosphere with friendlier people for our next visit to Spain.
Food was tasty but a bit pricey. The duck was a tad undercooked but had great flavor. 1/2 carafe of wine was perfect for one person. Our server was sweet.
We have dined at Django’s several times, and it never disappoints; it is our favorite dinner spot in Crested Butte. The meal was impressive start to finish. Great appetizers, creative salads and amazing main dishes were all shared by our party of 7. The lamb, massive bone in ribeye and duck were the favorite mains with the beet salad the best of that group.
This is a unique place in Crested Butte, and I highly recommend it whether a large group or a special occasion dinner for two. It’s upscale and casual at the same time. You will feel comfortable dressed up or in jeans. While the service may not quite be on par with high end venues in a major city (to be expected in a small resort town and still great by this standard), the food performs at a very high level and can compete nationally. Go experience it!
My first time to a tapas style restaurant. Plenty of choices no matter your palate. Easily accommodated my gluten free friend. The apricot salad was outstanding. Both the bass and steak frites were great. Be sure to have the peach sorbet for dessert.
Great meal and great wine. Need better ventilation. A little hot. Also, server needs to more about wine.
We loved all the small plates service as it gave you an opportunity to taste many different flavors
The Brussels sprouts was excellent and we saw it on everyone’s table
Best food & friendly atmosphere in entire town !!
First time experiencing the small plates with a group - fun, delicious. Great service, too.
We had a reservation, but it took a long time to get seated. Our reservation was for outdoor seating, but that never happened. After waiting 30 minutes past our reservation time, we were given the option to sit inside. We took it. A waiter gave us a menu with the wrong date on it. We had no idea until after we ordered and were informed the items we requested were not available. When we finally did receive the correct menu we ordered several plates. The dates, brussel sprouts, lamb and steak were all excellent. They also had a good wine selection. It was a nice place for a date, but a word of caution, go for the food and allow yourself plenty of time to get out of there.
