Food was great and very pretty presentation! Would recommend if you want a modern Indian experience!
Great food drinks and ambiance
We had a great meal at Diya Miami. The food was fantastic and the cocktails were delicious. We will definitely go back.
Best food we’ve enjoyed in ages. Reminds me of Ghee but even better. Every bite is an explosion of flavor. The dosa with potato, the crispy rice and the chanah tacos are outstanding. Definitely will go back.
Food quality is poor! Portions are so small. Ordered Butter Paneer Curry- it was 2 pieces. The “naan” was pita bread. It is not a high quality restaurant.
We got there at a quiet time which was nice. As it got busier, service was slow, and we had to ask a few times for the bill or for take out containers. The samosas were average, naan was dry and the curries could use a little more salt. Otherwise, overall it was good.
Second time there. Great food. Great service.
An Indian fusion experience where each dish has a distinct flavor with balanced heat and its own texture. A true surprise were the house made lemonades and Ras Malai Tres Leches
Food was meh. Overpriced, and greasy, pre-made
The best food experience I have ever had. This place will turn any carnivore into a herbivore in minutes. The food was Out of this world!!!!
Great all around experience. Perfect blend of Indian and Miami from the food to the bar in the back.
We visited twice in one week, and it would be great to have a Vegan restaurant OR an Indian restaurant half as good as Diya where we live, yet here you get two for one. Outstanding food, loved the biryani and chana tacos.
Great good, tried different plates and all of them were delicious!!!
Palak paneer and the salad were very good. Pasta was ok. Dosa was ok. Service was friendly but very slow. Never received a raita we ordered but got charged for it. Didn’t say anything as we didn’t want to wait any longer. Kitchen and staff didn’t seem quite trained yet to actually be friendly but manage a restaurant efficiently. Giving frank feedback in the hope they make it as it’s a good addition to the neighborhood.
Excellent food! Variety , modern , nice music
Really wonderful Indian fusion (with some Latin influences). Their cocktail list was terrific. Our server, a cool
young woman with the nickname Shell, was really attentive and helpful in making suggestive per our request.
Anyway, it was a fun evening.
Food was very spicy. Expected a lot of indian food but got disappointed and ate dosa only.
Server didn’t knew much about drinks
Overall one time experience
The food is excellent. You definitely don’t have to be vegan to enjoy this place (I love steak). Very creative chef. Great service. Reasonable prices (for Miami Beach). We sat outside, and my only suggestion is they up their game with lighting, flowers, plants and attractive dividers that separate sidewalk seating from sidewalk pedestrians (theres are no dividers currently and there’s clearly enough room for them to do that). They need more curb appeal to get people to take notice of this really good restaurant and survive, which I hope they do.
Food quality poor.Paneer uncooked.Masala for dosa and coconut chutney cold like it was taken off fridge.Anyone who has ate Indian food before won’t like this place.
Delicious food, great service from hostess and waitstaff. Definitely a must!
Lovely vegetarian but with lots of vegan and gluten free options.
Food was marginal. Waiter recommended a rice dish that was horrible. No side of rice. Service slow. Disconnect between waiter, and person delivering food and person cleaning up. No communication. Wait staff aloof and busy checking phone rather than checking on food service. Felt horrible after the meal. Not recommended.
vibrant atmosphere . excellent food, superior service
delicious indian food. (only complaint is they don’t accommodate special requests - I asked for a side of onion rings which come with another dish, and they said "no." Aslo , some of the food comes out very fast, and other times very slow).
but overall, it's a good restaurant with great food.
Food is always fantastic, great service and super friendly staff.
New menu is delicious and they kept old favorites like gobi Manchurian.
Server Jason was great! Very knowledgeable on food and walked us through the menu and gave good recommendations. Food and quality of food was excellent.
This is my favorite restaurant in all of Miami...between the amazing food, the extremely attentive wait staff and management, the craft cocktails and alcohol free elixirs made with natural ingredients and the ambiance including a live DJ every night this is the spot to be. Dont be turned off if you are not vegan by the all vegan/vegetarian menu....the flavors of the various indian dishes will make music in your mouth. It is quite the experience from beginning to end. I cant recommend this place enough. They owners have created a special kind of experience here that is hard to find. I cant wait to return again!
The food was outstanding. However, our waiter was a talker and, as a result, did not listen to his diners. More importantly, he always had his mask either below his nose or completely down from both his mouth and nose, even after we asked him to keep the mask up. Very frustrating and potentially dangerous since he frequently leaned in close to us or over the table chatting away with mask down.
Being an Indian by ancestry and with a group of Indians who love to cook the bar was set high. We loved the fact that the restaurant is vegetarian. All the dishes have a twist so they aren’t true to the different regions of India. Therefore, we were able to enjoy the food without making comparisons. The masala dosa is always a show stopper, simply cause of its size. My favorite starter is the pani puri platter. The puri are made in house and it takes a lot of effort to make. Which impressed the cooks around the table. The chef has a special passion and talent as a pastry chef. We’d asked for something with a candle for the birthday girl. The chef wowed everyone with an invention that should be on the menu permanently. A tiered sheera cake with flowers and berries. It was delicious and beautiful.
The service was awful! It started out by us being seated at a filthy table. Then we waited 15 minutes and no one approached us to take our drink or dinner order. When we approached the hostess she notified the wait staff and no one bothered to come over. I could understand if the place was busy but it was empty!! We walked out! End of story and now I know why they are the only restaurant in the area that had no customers. Do not waste your time making a reservation or even going here.
Great food! Try the gobi manchurian! Nice outdoor and indoor seating. Friendly staff
Great place with great food. The only thing I would change is the TV at the bar. This isn’t a sports bar or news bar. The TV kills the vibe unless it runs music videos of the music playing.
not a good choice of music and is way too loud. Food was good but a little overpriced. My waiter seems to have a language barrier where he didn’t fully understand us. Also we were being incorrectly charged for stuff we ordered directly from the menu and had to sit and wait for over 20 minutes for them to fix my check after the 4th attempt of having them fix it. I am not sure I would go back to this place.
Outstanding service and food
Amazing service, food, ambiance and overall experience. I will be returning!
Excellent, I'll be a regular here. So many must try options between the food and drinks.
We were visiting Miami and exploring different types of food. We have tried Indian food in many states including Vermont. We looked at this place and decided to try it. We ordered Gobi Manchurian, Cheese Dosa for Appetizers and few drinks. The Manchurian was good BUT the Dosa I had to spit it out. The Dosa tasted very very sour and smelled horrible. I had to spit it out or else I would have thrown up. After that I was left with bad taste in my mouth and we left. But we still got service charged for the food we return (some petty stuff). We told a friend from Miami about our experience and he said if he knew we were going there he would said you are better off going somewhere else. I would not recommend this place if you are in mood for true Indian/ vegan food. It will take me sometime to feel normal about dosa.
