Divino Wine & Dine
Divino Wine & Dine is an Italian style restaurant with a twist. The restaurant offers a hand tossed stone baked pizza, pasta dishes and sandwiches, along with a full service bar that services Italian liqueurs for after dinner. Divinio Wine & Dine also offers a large selection of wines.
On the menu at Divino Wine & Dine are entrées of Sicilian meatloaf, chicken spedini, Sicilian steak, eggplant parmesan and pan seared salmon. Other menu items include meatball bomber sandwich, Italian sausage sandwich, puttanesca, pasta alfredo, lasagna and baked rigatoni. Pizza choices include the Palermo, garden pizza, Mediterranean, spicy Hawaiian and white pizza Neapolitan.
Great as always. Got there early so nice and quiet.
Divino's is a consistently good place with delicious food and a friendly and attentive staff. The value of the food and service is reasonable and excellent.
Nice neighborhood standard for a reasonable glass of wine and pasta. Always consistent with the food and service. Great place for a weekday meal and you are just not in the mood to cook.
The staff at Divino’s are always friendly and attentive and the food is consistently great.
another great experience!! had a group in to celebrate a birthday and everything was amazing and our server, Betsy was awesome! thanks!!
Good as always, not great and a little expensive
Great food and service Staff
We were visiting our daughter and didn’t have a reservation anywhere. This was the only place we could get in and now we see why. The only food that tasted good was the bread. The minestrone soup was under cooked and had too many different and overpowering spices. The pasta was mush and the red sauce was so heavy and over-powering. The waitress was shaky and spilled the wine all down the side but didn’t even notice because she wasn’t paying attention. She bumped into my son twice and stepped on his foot (which was under the table). The food was pricy and none of us could even eat half. Even the salad was drowning in dressing to the point of being inedible.
My wife and I had a pleasant dinner at Divino. The food was tasty and hearty. Our server was very friendly. She was new on the job and learning as she went, but she was very professional.
Weekend dinner, salads before appetizers, appetizer over done, wrong dinner order, flies, Cabernet was good though. Sadly won’t return.
First time dining here. Just myself and my son for a nice night out. Food was very good. Highly recommend the burrata appetizer. Little heavy on the garlic in the salad with it, but really good burrata. Pasta was made very well and service was very friendly and attentive.
My husband and I went here before a theater show - everything was delicious! We had the buratta and the arinicini balls for an appetizer. For dinner he had the cannoli and I had half sizes of the spidini and a pasta with peas, onions, capicolla and fontinella cheese - all delicious.
My only caution is that the half sizes are HUGE. We ended up with a lot of leftovers, but that was okay because we ate it all, haha!
My friend and I had a great dinner and Krissa was excellent!
I am not sure, what happened I LOVE THIS PLACE. I used to order once a week a year and some change ago. The food was dream worthy then. Reminded me of Italy and my grandmothers. They have changed sadly. Maybe the cook had the day off I dont know. I will try it again in the future see if its better.
Overall decent,, carbonara was kind of flat and lacked flavor. Wasn’t bad, just flat. Eggplant parm sauce was great if you like tomato chum is and onions in your sauce. Not a big fan. Must be a Midwest thing for sauce. Anyway, place was “ok” decent service just marginal cuisine unfortunately since we have been looking for what we consider (from the east coast) good Italian food. Big challenge......
Wait staff were very friendly. Service was excellent. Glad I found this restaurant !
We are long time customers of this family owned business. Food is awesome, service great. Love the new hostess.
We have never eaten at Divino Wine & Dine but saw it on OpenTable so thought we'd give it a try. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is lovely (small restaurant with a lot of charm). Our server, Krissa, was outstanding. She was great about highlighting items on the menu and helping us figure out a wonderful combination for our dinner. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a great Italian dinner!
After having eaten at Divino's several times, I can see that the service in great, and the food even better. They are attentive, but not intrusive, and serve absolutely delicious food.
My friends and I like to dine at Divino before we go to a movie down the street at The Oriental Theater. Early in the evening you don't necessarily need a reservation, but you do later, say, after six, because this restaurant and bar are very popular, and with good reason.
My favorite dish is the Chicken Marsala. Sometimes I like to share a pizza. The dinners come with soup or salad, terrific Italian bread, and the portions were big enough that all four of us women last week took home half of our entrees. Greg, our super waiter, boxed those up for us in the back, rather than making us do it at the table. I hate that. My favorite wine is the red blend; and I have never tired of the warm, inviting atmosphere.
One warning: If you arrive later in the evening, with or without a reservation, you may have to stand around near the front door which is right inside the bar. You see, folks like to linger here, so gauging how long before a table turns over must be challenging.
Nestled on a quiet side street in the east side, family owed Divino's serves the best pizza and eggplant in town. Perfect before or after a movie at the Oriental, great with a group. Best thing is they take reservations.
The service was wonderful. The Sicilian steak was cooked perfectly and I tasted the best tiramisu I've ever had. We will definitly come back again!
Lots of garlic so be warned, or enticed. Waiter didn't mention the boar special which I probably would've gone with, or offer a dessert menu. Otherwise he was prompt and polite. Food was tasty but not enough to bring us back, although it was a bargain: 4 drinks, 2 glasses of wine, 3 apps, 2 & 1/2 entees (they offer 1/2 portions w/out salad) for $110 plus tip.
Our Valentine's dinner was perfect at Divino. Our waiter recommended an excellent wine and also helped us sort out our dinner selections -- all of our entrees arrived hot and were delicious.
everything from the housemade appetizers to the entrees were fantastic! We left eating more than we should because every item looked too good not to try. The mozzarella sticks were extra good! Will be back!
Nice little Italian restaurant where everybody seemed to know everybody else. The waiters and waitresses took special interests in knowing and remembering customers names and made you feel right at home. The food and wine select was not as large as expected but fit the style and feel of the restaurant perfectly. The food and wine itself was also very delicious!
Once again Davino pulls through. Great food and great service. Loved the Sicilian steak I had. Pedicels cooked. I would have liked the option of a different pasta or maybe even a rustic potato or garlic/parm mashed. The salads were great, eggplant outstanding and the tiramisu some of the best in milwaukee. Bravo
I have been going here for years, when it was under previous ownership. It closed for awhile then reopenned with a similar menu. I have never had a bad meal here. The staff and owners are friendly and accommodating, the food is very good and reasonably priced and the setting is laid back and comfortable. It does get a little noisy but it is better to be an a restuarant with people having fun than to be sitting alone in a quiet restaurant.
Every time we go here, I always try something new on the menu and am never disappointed. The employees are all welcoming and engaging. Excellent Food!!!
Pizza or pasta, excellent
Local family owned business, don't miss this spot
Divino's is always great. Never have had a bad meal there. Love that they have mezzo size meals. Perfect size. All restaurants should do that.
Divino was a nice surprise. We probably would never have stumbled across it had it not been for open table and we are glad we did. The food was delicious, very homey, and the service was excellent as other reviewers have also noted. Great dining experience!
I came here with a "local" a couple of weeks back for the Carbonara (at her request) . . . . and it was most excellent, so I brought someone new to the neighborhood this time (we East Siders delight in 'discovering' places like this).
We had the best waitress in Milwaukee . . . period. As far as the wine and menu are concerned they were both great. We shared an entre of Spedini and Eggplant. I have found no better Italian cousine anywhere in the City . . . . .and the City is supposedly full of excellent Italian restaurants.
Oh, and one must experience the decor . . .. . can't be explained adequately but it will make you look around in wonder. Definitely on my list of go to places now.
We've dined at Divino and it's predecessor, Palermo Villa, for many years. Divino has been redecorated nicely, but has similar menu to Palermo, with all the Italian favorites. Pizza is a star here but can't go wrong with the pastas either. Friendly service, a neighborhood favorite!
Everything was great, but it seems Joseph was in hurry to get us out of the
restaurant fast and didn't ask how our food was or bring us more coffee
with out been asked. I know that sometimes someone has a bad day just
hope that when we come back he will be in a better mood.
We love the food at Divino's. We especially love the eggplant strips and their pizza is excellent. The newly redecorated restaurant is very comforting and welcoming. We have never been disappointed with our visits and recently introduced this restaurant to our friends who are pizza lovers and they too shared our opinion that Divino's pizza is outstanding. Artie
it just didn't stand up to my expectations based on previous reviews here. Pizza was decent but I didn't think it was amazing. Pasta was bad. Pasta was overcooked that the strands were limp and torn to pieces. The sauce was one-layered in flavor, too thick and drowned the pasta. I had house wine which had cork pieces in it (I didn't tell the waiter because I already felt bad about the food; I just took out the debris). It was unfortunate because the place was crowded filled with seemingly satisfied customers. For Italian food within the same price range, I would rather hit Maggiano's or Buca di Beppo.
Fabulous food, excellent service. Our favorite restaurant!. Great for pizza and outstanding pasta dishes.
I love this place - always good. Meatballs -eggplant-burrata, but everything you eat is great. This is family and locally owned and you can tell based on the care of this restaurant.
