   Had never been here before and so glad we tried it. Our server was so friendly and welcoming. It was a nice quiet vibe when we first got there (a little too dark for me but not a big deal) but as it filled up it got louder and the high ceilings made it worse. Again, not a huge deal. Food was exceptional. Definitely will be back but will come earlier as to miss the noisier time.

We certainly would have loved the opportunity to impress you, had we known you weren't completely happy. We do believe that offering a smaller menu gives us the ability to perfect each menu item exquisitely and our menu has been the same size/price range for all of your visits. I am pleased that you believe Shelli took good care of you :)

   The lighting is very low in this place, and it’s quite dark in there. The food was really good, and the service was excellent. My only complaint was that the couple next to us had a super strong marijuana smell. The smell of skunk was a constant thing during our meal. This is not the fault of the restaurant, it’s just bad luck.

   Great boutique restaurant opens as of now only Frid/Sat. $35 rez hold fee. Only charged if you no show. Excellent food off small but diverse menu. Literally everything is outstanding. Usually 1/one Special off menu. Started with salads - grilled Caesar that is splitable and so tasty. Then had a variety for dinner from lasagna, pork shoulder, mahi special. All excellent. On to desserts which are uniquely done and decadent. We had Bourbon Peach Foster. Was huge - we split 4 ways. Off the hook great. Our waiter was fine and did the job but less than enthusiastic to the degree it became a noticeable air at the table. Just less than zero personality. Disinterested personality. Uncomfortably so. Still was a great meal with great company and fine dining at its best in GR.

    If you are looking for a properly lit romantic dinner this is the place. The owner is on the floor talking with customers. The food is outstanding. The service top shelf. For those who want a more private feel get a table near the front (by the far window on the street is best. For a slightly more exposed table move back in the bar area. Either way you will love it.

    I will always recommend Divani! The team there is creative, genuine, knowledgeable in their menu and services, and personable. They have made each of my dining experiences unique, but my most recent birthday dinner so so special!

    My boyfriend and I were recommended this place and we are so happy we went! Every second of this experience was outstanding. Our server Carly was personable, knowledgeable about the menu, and very interactive. We had 3 appetizers (calamari, bone marrow, and beef tartar) each one was better than the next. The shrimp bisque was great but the breadsticks that came with it were to die for. Dinner was the lasagna and the filet. The filet was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The lasagna was the perfect amount of spice and everything tasted so fresh. We couldnt skip dessert, we had the creme brûlée and of course it was just as amazing as an anticipated. Overall, the vibe, the people, and the food was incredible. Cannot wait to return regularly!

    When we got there we were greeted by a friendly hostess and that started our experience perfectly everything was excellent the food the staff were knowledgeable friendly and the only thing we had a issue with was it’s a little dark in there I get it that they are trying to make it romantic but at first we had to use our phones to see the menu and there was other people there doing the same thing so it was not just us and maybe if they could think about putting on some soft music just a suggestion but again the staff was friendly and knowledgeable seating was excellent service was excellent and the food was excellent we had the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly will definitely be back to try it again excellent thank you for the great night

    The cocktails were great; the charcuterie was fabulous and the crème brûlée was excellent. For entrees my wife had the quinoa salad which she loved, and i had the mushroom risotto which was different than what I was expecting when I ordered it. It wasn’t bad, just different; and I wasn’t expecting crunchy peaches in the peaches foster but since that was the first peaches foster I’ve ever had, that may be normal. What we didn’t care for when we walked in at 8:15 pm, was the noise! We’re so tired of noisy dining, and we Really weren’t expecting that at Bar Divani of all places. I will say that later the noise level dropped off to what you want a quiet dinner with your valentine to be. The wait staff were also fabulous — friendly, attentive, chatty and responsive to requests. All in all it was a most pleasant evening. A+ except for the noise.

    Exceptional dining experience. From cocktails to desserts, everything was perfectly paired and prepared. The Divani team is warm, knowledgeable on their menu and drinks, and prompt with service. I would highly recommend this restaurant and plan to return.

    I didn’t like having to give credit card for a reservation never have I been asked for that great good very low light conditions are waitress was wonderful!

    Beautiful space with warm and welcoming service. Really nothing else like it in Grand Rapids. Asian style pork shank was terrific and wide claimed the lasagna is as good as she has ever had. Topped off some nice wines by the glass and great cocktail service.
