Ditka's - Oak Brook Ratings and Reviews
My reservation for 2 was at 7:15. Our table was not ready until 8pm. We did get a seat at the bar before then. It was super busy so I'm sure the delay could not be avoided. We had great service and the bar is always fun. This is still one of my favorite places.
My steak was order medium rare . I needed up getting char well and dried potatoes . Very very upsetting especially steak restaurant. Didn’t say anything because my husband is like just eat it . I took 3 small bites and pretended that I was full . We had ordered calamari for appetizer. Very unhappy with the steak and potatoes.
Portion was small for the money. Pork chop was dry and a bit over cooked. Draft beer selection was very limited. Service was very good. Salad and dessert were good. Price was high for the amount of food and ala carte pricing was disappointing given the pricing of entrees. Much better value at other steakhouses elsewhere, both in the city and suburbs.
Entered the restaurant with a bottle of Chimney Rock Cab. Hostess delivered to server who decanted at the table while we enjoyed cocktails. Split a 16 oz. dry cured porterhouse, salad, two crab cakes, veggie, potatoes and dessert - all professionally served with a smile. Corkage is $20 and worth it if you want to enjoy a very nice bottle from your cellar. Absolutely delightful from start to finish. Highly recommended.
The staff was attentive and worked hard. We were seated in the Bar area in a booth. It worked out well. We had a view of the sports on TV and it was not particularly noisy on a Saturday. The waitress explained that she had someone training with her, and they were both great, got our orders right and the food and drinks were out quickly, well-prepared and delicious. A very good experience.
Overall, disappointed. The server was friendly, but not very attentive. The Cabrese Flatbread appetizer was bland. The cocktails were average. The food was good. The noise level was way too loud, and this was for lunch at 11:30am on a Monday. Then there was a problem redeeming gift certificates, which was finally resolved, but it took awhile. I have been to the Chicago location many times and have to say it is much superior to Oak Brook. In my mind Gibson's is far better. I would recommend Gibson's Oak Brook over Ditka's easily. I know I will not recommend Ditka's Oak Brook to my friends. I've already done so.
We had a family dinner here recently and were very pleased. The dry aged steaks were great as was the filet and were properly priced. The seafood appetizer was ok, the steak tartare was very good and the table side preparation was impressive. Service was very good. All around a very pleasant, quality family meal. We will be back soon.
worst experience I had at this restaurant. we went there for thanksgiving .sat by the bar waiting for our table the female bartender made faces when ordering a mojito and again when my wife ask what type of tequilas they had so we decided to wait for our table which took a couple of minutes. we sat down and before we could order our drinks our waitress said the bartender to her that they ran out of mint right. next the calamari was under cooked and our filets were overcooked.miserable experience ,specially when I go there with friends often. rave about the place.
This was our 3rd year spending Thanksgiving at Ditka’s. this year we were excited to have our mom and dad in from out of town and have them experience Ditka’s Thanksgiving. Unfortunately it was the worst experience we’ve had here. The seating was terrible and the restaurant was so loud we couldn’t hear each other enough to have any type of conversation. The dinner did not have the flavour or presentation in precious years. We where very disappointed and will be looking for a new place for next year. Sorry I hate leaving bad reviews but this was way too expensive of a dinner to just let it go.
We really enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner. We did not go with the traditional dinner but it looked great. We went with the Rib eye, crab cakes, oysters, calamari, rice, red potatoes, Da coach’s red wine ,and an old fashion . There service was great and they had a big crowd of people. I thank everyone that worked on Thanksgiving Day at Ditka’s for the great meal and service. The desserts looked good and we wish we would have taken some home with us.
Went for Thanks Giving dinner. The place was packed but we were seated on time. The service was very friendly and well organized. The turkey dinner special was delicious with more than enough eat. Highly recommend. Can see doing for future since family in area has shrunk considerably .
While the Thanksgiving Feast was OK the turkey trots to the toilet along with nausea following the meal was not something to be thankful for. I've dined at Ditka's multiple times without a problem. A weaker person without proper meds at home (I'm an ER nurse) would of ended up in the hospital. Instead we road it out. Both my husband and I developed stomach issues (I'll spare you the stinky details) at the same time and had Identical things to eat. I would not do a "Feast" again.
We try to go to Ditka's on special occasions and for breakfast every time the opportunity presents itself. One day three of my friends and I had breakfast on a Saturday and the Coach arrived the same time we did. Coach took a nice group picture with us and signed a few autographs. It turned out to be a great time and it was great to see the coach and he was great to visit with. It turned out to be an Awesome time.
