As expected...high! Saw reviewed on Food Network and added it to our list! Traveling from Detroit.
ASK FOR LAURIE!!! Service was outstanding! Laurie was attentive, professional, and personable! Our table of five had many questions about the menu and wine list and she nailed them all. The service from the kitchen to the table was prompt, ensuring all of our meals were hot. Sides were ample and tasty (should grill the asparagus though), but could’ve been hotter. I’m sure that had we complained, we would’ve gotten a new round.
It just happened to be a special occasion with out of town footballers, but Ditka’s is reasonable enough for everyday affairs.
We love Ditka’s. A go to place for us in Chicago!
I really enjoyed the restaurants atmosphere, food, cocktails the service at the bar was very welcoming. The check in was great the valet parking. The dinner was amazing from the appetizer to the dinner my group nothing was left on our plates. Food was fresh I will be back.
Great food, we had the special, blackened mahi mahi and lobster risotto. Food was only overshadowed by the service.
Valentines night special menu. We were seated in the bar, bit nosier then I prefer. She had the filet and lobster tail which was cooked perfect and tasted delicious! I ordered the ribeye and scallops combo. Scallops were perfect. Rib-eye was dense and tough, I ordered it rare and it came rare. Personally it was one of the worst rib eyes I have had and I eat them when ever I am at a steak house. Brought to the attention of the server when he finally asked how things were and was told he would let manager know. Manager never came by. On way out I asked manager if he told him of this and also explained my thought on the meat. He wasn't informed by the server. His response was to say sorry and hand me his card and tell me to text when I come next. Well he can wait for that text as Gibsons will get my steak business. Wake up management maybe this is why I could get a reservation at your restaurant and no place else. The Coach would be disappointed
I must admit this is not my first time going to this restaurant and the other times were great, I enjoy the food and the servers. But this time I decided to get a reservation and we sat upstairs with the tv and I was still hoping to catch the game on Valentine’s Day. Here’s the issue, this ruined my entire night, the singing man. I have no idea who said having live music would set the mood and make people happy. Because it was A TERRIBLE IDEA!!!!!!!! He was singing too loud to the point where I had to practically sit on my husbands lap to hear what he was saying, ievery bite of food I took it seemed as though nails were scratching a chalk board. I had no clue he was going to sing the entire evening without taking a break. They should tell people that he’s up there and give people the option to listen or not I wanted a nice evening with my husband and I did not enjoy that part of the night. But otherwise I enjoyed the Valentine’s Day special and the food is worth it.
Made reservations to see John Vincent on Valentines Day. Loved the food-we made a meal out of several appetizers: oysters, shrimp, (huge) pot roast nachos, bisque. Wine and beer were very good. Our waitress was so efficient and personable.
The best part of our evening was John Vincent! His voice is incredible-he sang perfect tunes of Sinatra, Johnny Cash, Louis Armstrong and Dean Martin.
We'll be back to see him!!
I had the filet mignon rare+ - medium rare and was made to perfection. Each bite was succulent, throw a pinch of salt and pepper and I can easily say it was one of the better steaks I’ve eaten. Will be back soon
