Service was outstanding. The food lived up to the expectations.
The only criticism we would have is possibly the crab risotto. While good, don’t know if I would get that again.
The steaks on the other hand were off the chart! They were fantastic.
Wonderful food, atmosphere, very personable staff. Just a great place for a meal.
The food was amazing and the service was even better!
The food, the service, the ambience all add to a great convivial time for dinner. The servers give you great attention, and you are made to feel special.
Food is excellent. Server was attentive and polite.
I specifically made the reservation for my fiance's birthday as I noted that in the reservation as well, we get there they want to sit us at a bar area and there's plenty of seats in the dining room once they finaly sit us in the dining room we wait 15 minutes for the complimentary bread and finally we had to ask for it, 10 minutes later still no bread we asked for it again and finally they bring it out, the soup also took almost 30 minutes to come out and once they brought it out it was warm not even hot our waiter George was either new or just clearly distracted at the end of our dinner not even a happy birthday to her or treat with a candle I expect this service at a TGIF not a high-class restaurant like Ditka's I'm in the customer service business also and I know what that means to a customer and service like this will make you lose a customers there is too many restaurants out there and this business is very competitive this was my second time there and will be my last
Incredible dinner on the second floor with fantastic live music. Loved how they were performing oldies songs it felt like I was back in the 50s or 60s!
The music upstairs is amazing!!! We brought our friends here for the first time and they loved it! We have been coming here for years and have celebrated holidays here and it’s always perfect service, food, cocktails and it’s never to loud.
porkchop and crabcakes delicious Bread fresh Salad superb great service and a free cake tossed in
Everything was good. The seafood platter was fantastic. Chilean sea bass was a good portion and mixed well with black rice.
My boyfriend and I had a beautiful experience at Ditkas! It was our first time in Chicago and we wanted to have a nice dinner for Valentine’s Day. Impeccable service and their food was to die for! Only downside is we had a group of kids and babies next to us which was kind of distracting when dining in a nice restaurant and spending a decent amount of money. Other than that, we’d recommend and go back!!
Great food & Service
John Vincent’s singing is the best
Great good, great environment and absolutely great service.
Fantastic service and amazing value for what we got!
Great meal, great service. Everything was outstanding, including the background music. Thank you for another outstanding experience.
Great music great service great singer. But expensive
Always incredible food and ambiance. Went on Valentine’s Day and they had a great deal for two! This will always be one of our favorite restaurants. Seems to be an older crowd that enjoys it but the music is classic dinner music which I love and we are in our 20s and we love it.
The drinks weren’t as good tonight, the sea bass was a little bit overdone but the lobster Mac and cheese was very good
Excellent as always!
From the time we pulled up to the front and the nice men took my car until we left and the nice men brought my car back, we were treated like royalty!! It was our 33rd Anniversary---yes Valentine's Day....every single person in the restaurant was wonderful. The young lady in the coat check, the gentleman who NEVER let our water glasses be empty, our waiter could not have been nicer, he reminded me of my own son!! Everyone just made us feel special. The food was scrumptious and very generous....had filet and 1/2 a baked potato on Saturday!!! The shared banana creme pie was decadent....Oh and being a life long Bears fan the memorabilia was almost to much to take in!! I did not want to peer over other diners( I did a little ) it would be a treat to be there before it was open to the public and just roam around!!!
Ditka’s was one of the best restaurants that we have been to in Chicago. Steaks were amazing and so was the jalapeño hash browns!
Best steak! Carlos was our waiter and he is very personable and professional. I had the Prime Rib which was deliciousness. My lovely wife had the aged filet mignon. I wish I could remember the wine we both had but it was excellent. This place is worth your time, the artwork inside is great. Very comfortable feeling all around! True Chicago ambiance.
Great food with excellent service. Love the atmosphere. Crab cakes are superb.
It's everything you would expect from a great Chicago Steakhouse, with it's unique Iron Mike twist. Our meal was well timed, with each course coming at a great pace to keep the meal moving without feeling rushed. The staff was excellent, and added some unique fun to the experience as well. All in all a great experience.
I live up the alley and go there often. Always a great meal and dining experience. This was a Sunday night, so much quieter, even in the bar. Food and service were excellent and my friend and I had plenty of time to dine and chat. Hadn't seen each other in a long time. As a lifelong 66-year-old Chicagoan, I've watched Da Coach since he came to the Bears as a kid out of Pitt. Great memories of Wrigley Field games, where my father often took me, courtesy of the late sports reporter Warren Brown, who was a friend of my father, who ran three restaurants at the old Sherman House at Clark & Randolph, where that monstrosity Thompson Center sits today. Ironically, until he and Jayne moved last year, Jim Thompson was a neighbor on my floor at The Bristol, where I live. Thanks for another excellent meal and fun time.
We had a great time at Ditka's but at a certain point you're definitely paying for the name. Every section on the menu had something named "Mike's _____" or "Coach's _____". If you're a huge fan, definitely worth it. Personally I thought the theme-ness of it was a little over the top, but the food was AMAZING and the servers were all very attentive.
The food was again Amazing and the entertainment was Awesome. We will most certainly return!
Servers were very accommodating and friendly. The food was great and we would definitely eat there again
Love Ditka’s. We sat in bar area which we like but it’s not quiet.
The food was delicious and our server was great! He was attentive and actually paid attention to the “birthday” notation on my reservation. It’s always great to see a manager walking around too! He checked on us a couple of times, as well as the other tables. It was my first time at the restaurant and I’ll definitely be back!
Excellent food, drinks and atmosphere! Go with the meatloaf and a French 75 :)
Always a wonderful time at Ditkas. Service was impeccable and food was delicious. Ditkas will always be our favorite restaurant.
Definitely worth it. The food and service were definitely worth coming back for alone...but the ambiance was impressive.
Yes, it's expensive. But we were at two other expensive steak restaurants recently and this was clearly the best. The meat was well seared and seasoned, and remarkably tender inside. When you're ready to splurge, this is the place to go.
The service made the meal. The greatest high-end sports bar!
Ambiance, service and food were excellent. Server was very knowledgeable about the menu.
We really enjoyed Ditka's. We were lucky we went on Super Bowl night and during restaurant week, we had the dining area to ourselves. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Outstanding food and service! It was a pleasure to meet Michael and George. They were wonderfully kind and friendly. We will definitely be back :)
I was there for lunch during Restaurant Week: I made a reservation because I wanted to try the Seafood Cobb Salad. It was Delicious---with a capital D. (And so huge that about half way through I asked my server, Diana, to box up dessert.)
When Ditka's first opened, I knew it as a dinner place. At some point, though, it started serving lunch. I wish I had known this fact sooner. I looked at the lunch menu, and it is amazing; better than many restaurants' dinner menus. Needless to say, Ditka's is now on my lunch radar. As the saying goes: I'll be back.
P.S. I also looked at the dinner menu. What's on it will lure me back for some that meal, too. It is waaay beyond the chops and steaks one associates with the restaurant.
