   We are sad to see this place close. This has been a fantastic restaurant, but due to the lack of horse gamblers nowadays it seems like people are less frequenting this restaurant. Fortunately, the staff is transferring to the Oakbrook location and for those who did not they were given good severance.

   They are closing in a week so I didn't think I would write a review but I was disappointed for the first time. I always give glowing reviews of this place. Don't go if you want to have one last meal there before they close. It may ruin your experiences there for good. I was disappointed. The wait staff didn't want to be there and couldn't answer any questions with anything but "I don't know, I don't normally work here". The food was average at best and this place is always top notch. Sorry to see it go. . . but disappointed in how they are obviously in a hurry to get out and didn't put the same care they normally do into things.

   So sad to hear this location is closing. We went for our favorite of pot roast nachos and burgers. Who ever heard of pot roast nachos? But they are delicious. Burger was great. Restaurant is old school. Quiet, soothing, low lighting, great for conversation without hearing your neighbor. Acoustics are great for keeping bar noise contained. Service is always excellent.

   Be aware they have cut back on their hours. Over heard the hostess telling the family in front of us they were going to be closing for awhile when asked about the hours. Maybe for the season or renovation? The experience was good nothing exceptional. Compared to over Ditka's I have been to it needs updating. Everything seemed worn out. Food was good for the price. Service was ok. We had to ask for a bread basket & no one returned to see if everything was ok with the meal. She did return to ask about dessert.

   Thanksgiving Feast was excellent. Mikes beer good. Service by wait staff was excellent.

   We spent our third Thanksgiving family dinner at Ditka's eagerly anticipating a juice double cut pork chop. Unfortunately, the people sitting at the table we reserved sat for 45 minutes after they paid the bill chatting rather than moving to the bar area. Given were were seated an hour after our reservation, the manager picked up the round of drinks and appetizers, which was much appreciated. Everything was great as usual. We are sorry to see Dikta's go and wish everyone well.

   We loved the turkey fixed menu, especially the soup and pumpkin dessert.
