Ana at District Winery
Ana’s juxtaposition of warm and cool finishes is peppered with mid century modern elements. Floor to ceiling windows create a bright, airy, urban-industrial gathering space in Ana’s dining room and bar. The outdoor patio offers views of the Anacostia River with a mix of tables and soft seating around fire pits.
The noise level was exceedingly high and we could not have a decent conversation. Would not recommend this for a celebration meal.
One of the best dinner views on the water, rain or shine. Always exceptional service and good food/wine.
Customer service was great and the pancakes were amazing. You can't go there without trying the pancakes. Besides the great wine selection. the bloody Was perfect. I'll definitely go there again.
Great food and service was fantastic and friendly. Highly recommend.
Always reliably wonderful and delicious. Impeccable wait staff; great setting, and creative menu with lots of innovation.
Great summer evening experience
I loved the sauvignon blanc and the pasta with the rabbit sausage. That said, everything was delicious, the service was great, and the view was incredible. I highly recommend.
Dishes are interesting and well executed, setting is superb. All around great place for a meal.
The service was terrible. The staff was rude and inattentive. It was low end service at high end prices. I wouldn’t have minded the service if the bill reflected a less expensive establishment but I expected a better experience.
Duck Dinner for 2 was amazing! If it's available, GET IT!
Loved the restaurant itself, food was good but kind of pricey. Service was sub par and people seemed to be rushing us out.
We sat outside and the service was slow throughout our entire meal. We had to flag down our sever to both order food and then another time to order a second round of drinks. There was a long blonde hair in our appetizer, which was then replaced and removed from the bill. A nice gesture but the servers couldn’t care less about it. We left disappointed. With so many so many other great options in the same area there is no reason for us to go back.
Wonderful food and great wine!! Awesome place!
Very friendly staff but I would return to any place staffed by the excellent hostess who facilitated a time change and two table moves with utter grace. The food is great if overpriced and the punch of the day was fantastic; the mezcal quasimojito called “Mezcall Me Maybe” also delightful. But it’s the view that you’re there for.
Restaurant is in a great location. Really enjoyed trying local wines and atmosphere is perfect for a classy dinner with friends.
Service was a little slow. Food all came out at once instead of appetizer first. Otherwise a nice experience. I said it was for a celebration but all I got was a congrats (been to restaurants where there’s a small gesture like a tiny desert or small free drink)
We were celebrating a baby shower and had a group of 6. The setting was a good fit for us, quiet enough that we could chat and hear each other, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the Brussel Sprouts!
Sooo much fun! Food, wine, and service were all amazing!
Our waitress was less than average with attitude
And non attentive
It would be hard to overstate how great the food is at Ana. Add to that a view of the river and you’ve got a real winner!
The food and wine was great, but the service was not that great. Took forever to get our food, which probably was the reason I rated them low. Otherwise, I will definitely be back. Hoping this was a one off.
Our whole day was great, despite forgetting our umbrellas which they set aside for us to retrieve the next day. Good good, location and decor. Can't wait to come back the next time I have company in town. We did the wine tasting afterwards too. We loved Alex.
Exson was my server and he was so friendly, he knows the menu, he recommended wine he was very professional. Excellent service overall
Small ants were all over our table outside. I was entertaining a client and I was embarrassed.
The 4 of us had Saturday brunch. We sat outside on a very fine day. The menu had several interesting, unique items. Food was great, but service was a little slow.
The waiter was great. The food was over the top good. We both had the halibut and were so complimentary that the chef came out to say hi. The waiter gave both of us old guys a note for our wives that said “your husband Mede the healthy choice of fish at dinner tonight”. It was noisier than usual, but it was great! Highly recommended.
Loved Ana! It was a beautiful, intimate location to have dinner with a friend I hadn’t seen in 20 years. The staff was so warm - starting with the host when I walked in. Will definitely return.
Good cocktails, fantastic wines and pairing with food and overall a brilliant space with a river views
Excellent all the way around. It's the 'go-to' place in the Navy Yard area.
Great place for get togethers. The food was good and the wine list is great
Excellent wines and foods to pair. We love the vegetarian options such as the brussel sprouts with pumpkin brittle and mushroom toast. Nice ambiance indoors and out with pretty views of the yards waterfront area.
Great wines made locally from grapes sourced in unique locations nationally. Inspired cocktails and many gluten-free menu options (more than listed on the menu, so be sure to ask). Clean, modern space with outdoor seating and water views. Excellent service.
Truly the worst service I have experienced at a restaurant in DC. I first was seated right next to the kitchen door, without being asked for my seating preference on a nice day, when the patio was not even full. I was meeting a friend, so I thought I would just wait until she arrived to be relocated and move outside. As I sat there, two servers continued to walk past me without acknowledging my presence for 10 minutes. I was not offered water or a menu, let alone eye contact. This would still be unacceptable service on a busy day in a restaurant, yet the restaurant was barely half full. Finally, someone acknowledged me and gave me a menu, so I immediately put in an order for a wine flight. When my friend arrives, she can't find the hostess to ask to be relocated to the patio. Multiple people are standing around also waiting for the hostess, who seems to have disappeared. Suddenly, she reappears, and reseats us outside, where the service was sadly even worse. The server on the patio again, did not greet us for 10 minutes. My friend ends up putting her drink order and food order in together because we were afraid the waitress would continue to ignore us. We wait another 15 minutes to receive a flight of wine. Again, the restaurant is not busy, so it's unclear why it took 15 minutes to pour a flight at a winery. The food arrives and was fantastic, though our server once again disappeared and never even asked how the food came out. At this point it's 8:45pm (reservation was at 7pm), and we're late to an event. Yes, it took over an hour and half to receive a flight of wine (a follow up drink order was never taken), bread, and two small plates. Our waitress had disappeared once again, so we ended up flagging down a food runner, explaining that we had been waiting for 20 minutes for our waiter to reappear. The guy ended up removing one flight off of our check, but it really did not make up for the terrible service. Good food, great wine, horrible service.
Dope spot - go
Had a wonderful first experience. Burger Tuesday's is a must! We had the best service we have ever had in a restaurant setting. The waiter truly cared about our experience and did his best to give us attention. I highly recommend coming here, we will be back soon!
Girls' brunch here and it didn't disappoint. Food was very good and in a great atmosphere! While the service was good, the pacing of the meal was a bit off...drinks took a long time and then appetizers quickly followed. We hadn't finished apps when main course arrived. We felt oddly rushed but the place wasn't crowded. It's a bit weird when staff keeps wanting to take your plates. All things that I think can be easily resolved or maybe we just hit at an off time. I'll give them another try. The golden beets, mushroom toast and chilaquiles were probably the favorites of our table.
Loved it. Good food, good wine. Beautiful place
Delicious meal, although the menu st first was a little challenging to some
The service was beyond slow (and we were one of the only tables in the place). The food and wine was very good. Coming from someone who studied wine for 2.5 years, I think the wine is very much so overpriced, but is worth a taste for those visiting the area. The view is incredible for the place though. I didn't sit on the patio, but it looked very nice.
