Our server was great and food was awesome. Enjoyed the tapas
This was our first visit to District. We had 8 adults. Our server, Andre, was awesome! We enjoyed several shared plates...deviled eggs (yummy, spicy), they could use one more salad...we had the caesar and the beet both were good (some of us are allergic to garlic so we can't have the caesar), mushroom - margarita - short rib pizzas were all good, sliders were delicious, the lamb meatballs were probably everyone's least favorite, desserts were yummy...pot de creme, crisp and bread pudding. The cocktails were good too! Everyone said they enjoyed it.
Bartenders are horrible, they have no personality at all and do not interact with the guests . You practically have to flag them down to ask for a drink.
Great service, great food and drinks!
Overall it was pretty good I felt like the drinks were better than the food. I think they tried to get too fancy with the food and didn’t quite pull it off. However the drinks made up for it. Perfect location for going to the SAP center. I will come back. We tried the margarita pizza chicken wings and french fries.
Love the District location in SoMa so was so happy to see that there's one in San Jose. Thanks for a great night! Our server was super attentive and nice!
Had pre-hockey reservations. The food exceeded my expectations and the service was excellent. Once they knew we were a little rushed, they bent over backward to get us out on time.
Great casual place to go, especially before an event at SAP. Small plates are all very tasty and good to share with the table. The service is friendly, attentive and fast. Nice wine and beer list.
Great drink choices. Great place to hang out and grab a few drinks with friends.
Loved everything about the place, every dish was awesome. Service simply outstanding!
I loved District. Tried for the first time last Saturday and really had a fabulous experience! Our server, Andres, was so knowledgeable and fun to talk with as he described dishes for us and also helped us pick out some really great whiskeys. Fun and friendly vibe. Delicious, imaginative food that left us more than satisfied by the time we left.
Great place for a business dinner or date. Menu is small plates so very interactive. They also have an amazing drink selection including bourbon. Would definitely recommend the Peachy Keen cocktail!
Great food and service! Our server was willing to get creative with the menu to help me find choices that worked for my food allergies. Much appreciated!
Great wine, beer and whiskey selection. We will be back!
The food was delicious, and the service was great. Our waiter gave good recommendations on some items and we were all pleased
The food and atmosphere were great!
This was my first time at this restaurant. The food quality was poor. The ceviche was terrible. I do not plan to return.
Great food and service!!
The staff was great! Food is served as small plates which is great for a light meal. A good variety of choices and don't miss their bread pudding.
Wonderful service drinks and ambience. Cheese board and sliders were phenomenal pizza superb. Other food was okay
Tasty food in good portions. Nice wine-by-the-glass selection too.
Sunday brunch yesterday for my mom's birthday was wonderful. I was able to make a reservation easily. The ambiance was laid back with moderate noise. The food was delicious and varied for a group of goodies and picky eaters. We enjoyed the collard greens, eggs, grits and ceviche. My husband loved the pancakes with banana maple syrup. The bottomless mimosas were strong, which was helpful this holiday weekend. Thank you!
Love this place
Great spot for a first or second date. Meet up with friends or family. Chill, great bites and drinks... excellent service and hospitality! Definitely a favorite spot for me.
Food was ok but we had a very slow waiter. So slow that I had to ask for him 3 times.
My only issue is that there are limited low tables. When you are short and your legs dangle, it’s a little uncomfortable to sit for the meal.
Good place to get some drinks and shareable plates. There were a few dishes that were over salted, but I’d come back again.
Amazing service, amazing food!
I would give this place no stars because when we arrived less than 15 minutes past our reservation time the hostess had given our reservation away and refused to seat us at a table. We left. End of story.
Terrible service. Never got my food. Not attentive. During happy our server came over twice. Wasted our time
I had a reservation from open table. When I got there, I waited to get seated for 15 min. The staff saw me but don’t come over to seat me. I had to come to the bar to ask for seating. Disappointing since they only had a few people in the restaurant.
We were greeted quickly by our waiter and the menu explained thoroughly. Drink order was given and delivered fairly quickly, and our order taken. Food was delivered fairly soon thereafter. Food was delicious and the highlight of our experience. Service after food delivery was nonexistent. We had to stop another waitress and ask for more water. No contact by our waiter until long after we finished our meal. When he came back he asked if we wanted dessert or anything else. We didn’t and asked for the check. Overall, nice place, great food, bad service.
The service was great. Very friendly.
The lamb meatballs and the Brussels sprouts were very salty, but the mushroom pizza was good.
Very salty food and less than stellar drinks, but cool vibe and extra stars for the 90s hip hop!
Fun atmosphere, food was ok, not outstanding. Some dishes were just bland.
Everything was great. I would only say that they should try to find a way to keep the buffet food hotter. It was warm and delicious but I really wanted to warm my food up more. I am the type that likes my food to come out piping hot but I do understand that it was a buffet and there were burners.
Food & drinks were great! Neat place
So, i was looking for something new. Been ages since I had been to downtown San Jose, so thought, why not? All the reviews looked good for this place. One factor I didn't consider is the age of the reviewer. And of course my group's age in relation. When I made a reservation, I didn't think it was for lounge type seating, I just assumed it was a dining table- it wasn't. When 20 year olds think food is good, perhaps the older crowd might not agree so much. This is a place for the 20-35 crowd. Not for older folks. Though how the younger generation affords these prices is quite beyond me. They must all be Googlers or something similar. Food was really not very good. Over done. All the things everyone raved about, I am sorry, perhaps their palettes need a few years. The beet salad - good. The bone marrow, BBQ sauce on it, really? The small burgers (sliders) tasty but mighty greasy. The pork belly was a hit with the males in our group, not so much with the women. The arancini was raved about in other reviews. I don't know, fried cheese balls with spinach you couldn't possibly taste over the fried factor, not so sure. The ceviche was completely gray in color, a turn off to say the least. I do realize that fish can turn a bit gray in lemon, but this had been bathing in lemon too long. Good wine and booze selection. But this is really a place for the under 35 crowd... We definitely didn't fit in, but it was still a fun night out. Didn't know how hopping San Pedro Street was... Lots of after dinner places for young crowd...
A couple of the signature cocktails were unavailable. There was limited vegan options on the menu.
Food was quite good. Service needs some improvement.
