We had a great experience. The Brussel sprouts were amazing!
enjoyed the event. Outstanding service
Been awhile since visiting - last time it was still just wine, not full bar. Enjoyed the food. The brussel sprouts, arancini, and fried avocados were fantastic. Pickled veg were a little too salty for my taste. Only big downside, the 4-top hightop was quite small for 4 people. Would opt for sofa seating next time.
There for a birthday, snacked in many small plates and sampled some of the Japanese whiskey. Wonderful time, service was prompt and attentive. A bit noisy but fun vibe for sure
I don't know if they have a new chef or kitchen staff but I've been eating there for years and the food has gone downhill. We had the meatballs appetizer which I've had 20+ times and this time the sauce was very clearly from a can! It was gross and the meatballs were only lukewarm? The Tempura appetizer was very mediocre, and so was the pizza we ordered. The food used to be fine but now it's terrible. The place was empty and know I know why. We won't be back. They need to get it together!
The ambiance and service were very good, and the menu was interesting, but ultimately the flavors were just a bit disappointing.
Food was great, service quick and friendly. We really enjoyed it here
The brunch was delicious and at a fair price for all you can eat. Will definitely go back. Parking can be an issue here!
Good vibe, great menu of small bites. Cocktails good too.
We had a great dining experience at District. The service was great, fast, and super friendly. The food and the drinks were fantastic and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend this place for Happy Hour and dinner.
We had the Sunday brunch buffet at District before a Giants game. The timing worked out well since we could help ourselves and get in and out in time for the game, but we weren’t overly impressed with the food for the $22 cost per person (drinks were extra). It tasted fine but was just lukewarm and nothing out of the ordinary. Maybe if we were bigger eaters it would have been a better value.
Great SOMA wine bar and eatery! I've been here twice now and really enjoyed the ambiance, food and wine. It can get noisy but I have been able to converse and catch up with friends very easily. The wine list is awesome and I love the flights! The food is unique and yummy, especially the pesto pizza, sliders and ceviche. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again soon!
The service is top notch.
District was a perfect place to grab drinks & bites to eat with friends!
Enjoyed everything about our visit. A bite before a giants game. I hesitate to give 5 stars because the next experience might be better and how do you beat a 5. Perfect everything for the occasion. Thanks
Bad food and drinks.
Because of the great review in the Chronicle, my friends and I had brunch (buffet) at District. Nice service and the food was actually very good but sitting out on a buffet table doesn't work. The food was rather cold so unsatisfying. Nice room but best as a club.
The PERFECT Sunday brunch spot!! The cutest venue, nicest staff, tasty food and good drinks! We will be back!
First time at the restaurant and will go again!. Even though our reservations was an hour later than our arrival, they accommodated us immediately. Our waitress was very detailed in explaining the menu options . We took advantage to the happy hour drinks and food. It was a great way to start the SF Giants night-out!
The food and drinks were wonderful, and our server was very friendly. She didn't stop by as much as we would have liked though, as we were left waiting a while in between orders - which, at a tapas place, kills the vibe a bit.
We were also overcharged on most items, as we went during happy hour and weren't given any happy hour prices. We didn't check our receipt til we were at the Giants game a few minutes later and by then it was too late to do anything about it.
Very disappointing. I wanted to like the place, but I wouldn't recommend it after our experience there.
Well, when you get sat down for a reservation and sit a table for 10 minutes and NO ONE acknowledges you...that equals CRAP Service!! Rude and unacceptable; would never return!
Brunch was success and the ambience was the right one! Our waiter was so fun and kept making sure our mimosas were full! The buffet style food was delicious! Can’t wait to bring more friends!!
Our server Brooks was amazing!!!
Such a good brunch buffet! Amazing traditional options mixed with some different choices like shrimp ceviche and cheesy grits. I’m for sure coming back.
Brooks and Michael were FABULOUS!!! We had a great time. The food was very, very good. Happy hour is a great value, too. There were four of us and the total bill including tip, was $300. A little pricey for a casual bar/small plate place, BUT we did enjoy ourselves!
It’s more of a wine bar than a “restaurant” but the food is great— they have something for everyone. They also had a live band that was really fun to watch! Great date spot
Very tasty and varied. Waitress not great, but good. Excellent bus boy. Desserts were very slow to come out.
Table crowded and small!
Where else can you get a bottomless brunch for $20.00? There were some hits and some misses the food department. Hits were cheddar grits, oatmeal with bourbon vanilla brown sugar, braised collard greens (too salty but still tasty), perfectly cooked bacon, and chocolate chip bread pudding with bourbon caramel and whipped cream. Biscuits and pancakes were hard and dry and the gravy was sweet. Still good value for the money. We sat at the bar and were taken care of by a very attentive bartender.
Had a wonderful Easter brunch at the District on Easter Sunday. What a beautiful restaurant great location. Enjoyed the bread pudding, pancakes with banana rum syrup, ceviche was so good and fresh. Enjoyed an Irish coffee with my brunch. Good prices attentive and friendly staff. I definitely would recommend this restaurant to my friends. Excellent!
Was placed at a pretty small table with not enough space for our food. Pizza was not good at all, seemed like a microwaveable frozen pizza. They were out of oysters since a large group ordered all of them. Whisky selection was good. Was not expecting live band and it was so loud we could not hear our conversation w friends. Waitress did not tell us which cheese was which, then we called her back to ask, she def didn’t get it right.... 4 small slices of bread is not enough for 4 people and 3 different kind of cheeses. Might come back just for Whisky and Brussels sprouts. Everything else was meh. Would not recommend for dinner which it was my hubby’s birthday so a little sad.
Very friendly waiter, all you can eat buffet and bottomless mimosas were great!
Had a wonderful time with a group of 5 on a Saturday evening. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Service started a little slow, however, once started it remained attentive. Excellent drinks and tasty fare. The noise level was such that we could communicate all around the table which is appreciated. Will return on a future visit.
One of our favorite happy hour spots. Great food and drinks at a reasonable price point. Servers are friendly, but service is somewhat spotty.
Great food reserved a relatively quiet table for us.
Good option for bar food if you're in the area and/or going to a Giants game. Pizzas, apps, desserts were good, service was slow and towards the end of the night, we couldn't locate or server and sat there for 20 min before we could track someone down to give us our bill. Worth checking out, however service is inconsistent.
Cozy feeling place. The food was fantastic. Hanger steak was A+ and so was the avocado tempura! Our server Mike was friendly and kind.
When we were leaving there was a band setting up, so I'm guessing live music happens after a certain point. I'll definitely come back.
Went for a friend's birthday, it was expensive but fun.
Great space, but try sitting in the high top tables - cannot imagine what the goal was when those were made - we would have been more comfortable on the floor! Nowhere to put you legs and knees. What a distraction. Plus, who wants to sit 1 foot away from the entrance? Bizarre. Food was ok - very boring Brussel sprouts salad - zero flavor. Steak tartare was decent, olives were good, but overall nothing to write home about.
Great menu with a good selection of wines and food. Music level was a bit high for a comfortable conversation.
