View Private Dining DetailsAmazing food, good service. Best meal I have had in a long time!
Delicious food and a great variety...something for everyone.
In D.C. for vacation. Glad we found this restaurant. Will eat there next time in D. C.
Loved the cremini mushroom and arugula omelet—one of the best omelets I’ve ever had. The service was disappointingly slow and haphazard, however.
I had a group of friends in town. Our experience was great. Our waiter was attentive and fun. Great selection of food, fun cocktails, wine and beer. We had a great time and a great meal.
Fun place with lots of interesting menu options. My salad was exceptional as was my friend’s paella. Recommend as a great neighborhood place:)
Great relaxed dining, 5 out of 6 had flat iron steaks which were declared delicious - the other Atlantic cod was also delicious. We weren’t hurried and service was very good.
Love District Kitchen. Casual atmosphere. Kind and attentive service and yummy food. Enjoy the burgers and salads most. The grilled bread with fresh mozzarella! Delish!
Delicious and fresh - innovative and balanced menu- excellent service and reasonable prices
Great casual neighborhood type restaurant. Good vibe, great food!
We had a fine Sunday brunch. The reservation was honored immediately although one member of our party was late. I ordered the eggs and was offered the opportunity to substitute fruit for potatoes-- the fruit was really generous and the eggs and bacon were perfectly cooked. The restaurant was loud and busy but we lingered quite a while and never felt rushed. The service was attentive.
There was confusion with our service, our order was delayed and we seemed to be lost due to two larger parties on either side of us. The food however was fantastic so we'd give it another chance when we're in town again.
Food was great! Ever the waitress was friendly and so nice guy! I just love it.
Congrats! For a good food.
Excellent food and service! My wife and I have thus far eaten there twice and throughly enjoyed ourselves.
Very good food and atmosphere.
Food quality was wonderful and the wait staff was very accommodating.
Food was very salty. Both the paella and the fish dish. Beet salad was not good. Dessert was good and tasty.
Creative dishes, good service.
Good food and service. Moderate price, if you are looking for a good place to eat, this is it
I receive a gift card from my son & daughter-in-law to the District Kitchen for Christmas. They had raved about it and wanted have me experience the restaurant. And am I ever glad that they did & that I did. What a happy, magical little place! From the way we were greeted when we entered until we departed there was never a lull in our satisfaction. The service was spectacular & unbeatable from start to finish. For my initial cocktail order I was temporarily advised that the specific liquor was not immediately available but in a flash the missing potion was located and provided. The food was absolutely tasty & delicious. Even though the location is not in our normal traffic pattern; we will be back.
A lovely late night meal — they were closing early (by 10:15 due to slow business on a slushy night — though web said 11:00 pm) but prepared delicious mac n cheese & grilled asparagus & a gin cocktail — a really nice late night supper. A bit distracted but friendly servers. I’d definitely try it again, and enjoyed my odd “room of my own” dinner.
Great for a quick lunch! The burrata and grilled pear salad was great.
We are so happy this gem of a restaurant is in our neighborhood!
First time dining at this restaurant and it was great. Lighting could have been better but the good was excellent.
In DC for work and wound up eating here 3x over past 4 days. Food is delish, fresh and lots of healthy choices. Service was great, everyone a delight. Prices very reasonable for the quality. Grilled Salmon over kale, Tuna appetizer and brisket brunch special are some notable dishes. Wish I had a District Kitchen in Long Island.
District Kitchen is small and friendly. We sat near the bar, but the music and other customers weren't too loud for conversation. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We were seated quickly and 3 different people asked us if we wanted still or sparkling water. The food was good--especially the dry aged hamburger and the cod. The salmon was perfectly cooked, but the accompanying vegetables were mushy. The seasonal salad was good. The local beer (Evolution IPA) was delicious. It was a perfect setting to catch up with our daughter, who lives in an apartment close by.
Good food. Fun vibe. The waitstaff were friendly but, consistent with all the Yelp reviews, it does seem like they need some additional training.
I ordered the shrimp, very fresh, but it tastes a little bit salty, the burger tastes quite good
On a bitter DC night it was so nice to come into a warm toasty environment. Beer selection was good. Service was FANTASTIC!! Food selection was varied, interesting, and delicious.
Made reservation based on menu which listed variety of dishes however when arrived at 1 pm was given a lunch menu which was quite limited Food was okay but uninteresting. Nothing special about this place decor and food, could have gone to a local place instead going across town.
Never have a bad meal or experience here. The bar tender Ever is fantastic. Highly recommend for just drinks or a meal
The food was fabulous!
It was a casual business meal, so it was a good fit. Anything more than casual would not be the right fit.
Food was totally average/acceptable. No complaints, just nothing special. If it was cheaper, I would rate it higher. But at their prices, I think the food should stand out more.
Very industrial, yet still inviting, atmosphere and setting. The menu has unique as well as standard offering. The chicken tikka was extremely tender and very flavorful. The cheeseburger was cooked exactly to order (medium) with a very fresh bun that had been toasted nicely, and the accompanying french fries were crispy. Overall, a very good dining experience.
So glad I picked District Kitchen to take my clients out on the last night of their event. Great service! Excellent food!! Thank you for assisting me in wow’g my clients.
We have been to Distrct Kitchen several times and have always enjoyed amazing food and service. Unfortunately with our last visit we were very disappointed.
We had a reservation set for 6:45 for 5 people and was asked to come earlier as the restaurant was very busy. Luckily, as we live in the neighbourhood we were able to get to the restaurant early. Though, we arrived without a thank you from anyone for coming in early. Our server had no time for us and unfortunately some of the food was cold. We were so disappointed as we had family in from out of town and District Kitchen was always one of our favourite places to bring guests. I’m hoping they were just having an off night and this is not the new norm.
This is one of the best meals I've had in a long time! The special of the night was halibut and it was cooked to perfection! Desert included the option of two cheeses (I chose Green HIll and Manchego. The Green Hill especially was one of the best cheeses I've ever eaten!). My wife had the steak, which was cooked to perfection. There is a Paella on the menu which we saw going to table after table so it must be popular--and it looked fantastic.
We both had salads to start the meal, and they too were spectacular! It is difficult to get excited over a salad, but these were truly outstanding--the balance of flavors, including the dressing--and the amount of dressing--was perfect. We don't often travel to DC, but this place will be near the top of our list of return-to places.
My wife and I had a great dinner at District Kitchen when we were in town for a convention. We reserved there because it was cold and the restaurant was a short walk from our hotel, but I'll consider returning the next time I'm in DC.
Wonderful place to bring out of town friends and family!
