First time dining at this restaurant and it was great. Lighting could have been better but the good was excellent.

In DC for work and wound up eating here 3x over past 4 days. Food is delish, fresh and lots of healthy choices. Service was great, everyone a delight. Prices very reasonable for the quality. Grilled Salmon over kale, Tuna appetizer and brisket brunch special are some notable dishes. Wish I had a District Kitchen in Long Island.

District Kitchen is small and friendly. We sat near the bar, but the music and other customers weren't too loud for conversation. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We were seated quickly and 3 different people asked us if we wanted still or sparkling water. The food was good--especially the dry aged hamburger and the cod. The salmon was perfectly cooked, but the accompanying vegetables were mushy. The seasonal salad was good. The local beer (Evolution IPA) was delicious. It was a perfect setting to catch up with our daughter, who lives in an apartment close by.

Good food. Fun vibe. The waitstaff were friendly but, consistent with all the Yelp reviews, it does seem like they need some additional training.

On a bitter DC night it was so nice to come into a warm toasty environment. Beer selection was good. Service was FANTASTIC!! Food selection was varied, interesting, and delicious.

Made reservation based on menu which listed variety of dishes however when arrived at 1 pm was given a lunch menu which was quite limited Food was okay but uninteresting. Nothing special about this place decor and food, could have gone to a local place instead going across town.

It was a casual business meal, so it was a good fit. Anything more than casual would not be the right fit.

Food was totally average/acceptable. No complaints, just nothing special. If it was cheaper, I would rate it higher. But at their prices, I think the food should stand out more.

Very industrial, yet still inviting, atmosphere and setting. The menu has unique as well as standard offering. The chicken tikka was extremely tender and very flavorful. The cheeseburger was cooked exactly to order (medium) with a very fresh bun that had been toasted nicely, and the accompanying french fries were crispy. Overall, a very good dining experience.

We have been to Distrct Kitchen several times and have always enjoyed amazing food and service. Unfortunately with our last visit we were very disappointed.
We had a reservation set for 6:45 for 5 people and was asked to come earlier as the restaurant was very busy. Luckily, as we live in the neighbourhood we were able to get to the restaurant early. Though, we arrived without a thank you from anyone for coming in early. Our server had no time for us and unfortunately some of the food was cold. We were so disappointed as we had family in from out of town and District Kitchen was always one of our favourite places to bring guests. I’m hoping they were just having an off night and this is not the new norm.

This is one of the best meals I've had in a long time! The special of the night was halibut and it was cooked to perfection! Desert included the option of two cheeses (I chose Green HIll and Manchego. The Green Hill especially was one of the best cheeses I've ever eaten!). My wife had the steak, which was cooked to perfection. There is a Paella on the menu which we saw going to table after table so it must be popular--and it looked fantastic.

We both had salads to start the meal, and they too were spectacular! It is difficult to get excited over a salad, but these were truly outstanding--the balance of flavors, including the dressing--and the amount of dressing--was perfect. We don't often travel to DC, but this place will be near the top of our list of return-to places.

My wife and I had a great dinner at District Kitchen when we were in town for a convention. We reserved there because it was cold and the restaurant was a short walk from our hotel, but I'll consider returning the next time I'm in DC.

We had the salmon dish and pan seared shrimps, and both were incredible! The chocolate brownies for dessert was also unreal, so good. It was a perfect date night for me and my husband. Will definitely come back and recommend to friends.

We had a really nice brunch here — the eggs Benedict with salmon was very good with a yummy bread pudding for dessert. Friendly service, too. Good choice on Conn Ave near Woodley Metro.

This place is amazing! We were in town for a convention and picked it on a whim -- we were not disappointed! Our server was a little lacking in attention, and it was rather loud, but we could still hear our conversation. The food was stellar and plentiful, and an excellent value for the price! We will be back the next time we are in DC for sure!

Only real decrement was for service. It wasn’t horrible but once order was taken our waiter was MIA. Had to track down for another drink, salt & pepper, etc. Oh and he got aspects of orders wrong (Chianti instead of Cabernet, rare instead of medium rare). Also, service took longer to get to table than you would expect. Not outrageous, but to that point where you are going “I wonder what is going on?” Nothing that ruined the experience but a bit frustrating. These comment are more meant to help the restaurant than discourage anyone form trying it. I’ll go back happily given the chance.

My wife and I love District Kitchen. They are early to the Brooklyn Arts district, and it’s easy to park unlike downtown. The food is innovative and high quality, and DK is now one of the top fine dining spots in Wilmington.

A friend recommended District Kitchen, and I was pleasantly surprised! A couple of doors down from the Metro stop, easy to find! Reservation via OpenTable went without a hitch. Food was well prepared, menu is great, service was good for a busy Monday (convention crowd). I have recommended to others, and would return.

Food was excellent. Unfortunately after we got done with the food and were still looking at dessert menu (about 1.5 hours after we got seated), the person managing the seating asked us to leave because they had another reservation for our table shortly after.

First of all, there were still plenty of seating around (half of the tables still available at that point), secondly, it is not customer’s responsibility to manage the seating - we didn’t know what reservations the restaurant was getting, neither were we informed that we can only stay up to a certain time at the time we got seated.

Split a chicken tikka with a friend. Delicious sauce and basmati rice. Chicken was a little dry but did not detract from the delicious sauce. They have 1/2 portions which also appealed to us. Wine was very good. Service excellent. Desserts are made in-house. My friend loved her key lime pie. The bread pudding was fabulous and plentiful. Don't know if I would call it a special place, but would return if I had a friend staying at one of the two hotels near by.

Came for dinner with my husband and service was very good, I thought almost all the dishes were fine. We had a few smaller dishes- the tuna was good, the corn was tasty. The pasta dish was good but maybe too rich, the brussell sprouts needed to be cooked more and the asparagus was average (sauce was not the best on it?). This place is a good neighborhood place, saw lots of families and kids there. For a night out/date, not sure this is the place but can see locals enjoying it.
