Love this place! Great food, good atmosphere, and the staff are nice!
Everything was well-prepared from the salad to entree and creme brulee pie dessert, unique and delicious. Great service from Maia.
The server was excellent.
So many good things to say about this place! Great location, friendly hostess/waitress, accommodating with the menu, safety measures for COVID... All good things! I went for the prix fixe brunch with bottomless mimosas; I was very satisfied with everything. I would definitely go back.
I absolutely loved this spot. The food was great! The music was great! I highly recommend.
The food was spectacular. This is an informal place where where the food really is the star and deservedly so. Rarely have I ever had a better meal.
Delicious!!!!!
We sat outside this past Saturday after your visit to the zoo. Lunch was great - as was the service. Highly recommend!
The waiter was grumpy . Food was mediocre at best.
I have no idea how this is so well reviewed and considered such a "gem".
Tables outdoors were well spaced and covid practices were well done, but our table was right under the speaker and the music was so so loud.
Another great time at District Kitchen. We ate outside on the patio and had the burger and chicken sandwich with a side of brussels sprouts. Food was amazing as always and service and atmosphere was perfect.
First time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Went for Saturday brunch and had endless bloody Mary’s (very yummy) and loved the beet salad, Brussels sprouts and crispy chicken sandwich. Service was impeccable and the ambience amazing. We live just across the bridge so will be back often. This is definitely one of our new favorites for everyday dining. They have a great patio when the weather allows. This is a must try and I know you’ll love it!!
Picked District Kitchen because they had outdoor seating AND bottomless brunch. Food did not disappoint and mimosas kept flowing. I had the lamb hash - omg it was delicious. My boyfriend said his shrimp and grits were also good (he is from the south and knows good shrimp and grits)
Great food, service, and atmosphere . We’ll be back!!
As always. Great service. GREAT service. Food is always more than great whatever you get !!!
Great service and great COVID protection practices. Keep up the great work
Great food and great food!
This was our first experience at District Table and they exceeded our expectations and we have high one! Great value, unexpected high level of flavors and overall excellent!
I have eaten outside several times. Food service and comfort level are great.
District Kitchen is a fun place with very good food. We sat outside one evening, during social distancing and it was lovely.
The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The staff was very COVID-19 responsible, and we appreciated that! The street scene along Connecticut Avenue was subdued, but that was COVID-related, not any fault of the restaurant. Our only complaint was the smell of incense that wafted over from a nearby shop, and we didn't raise it with the restaurant because we didn't think they could affect a change.
‘‘Twas dope.
the food was excellent
the chairs are somewhat uncomfortable
My girlfriend and I had an absolutely incredible night on the first Friday back in DC. Maya was excellent and made our dinner. Food was delicious. Manhattans were the best we ever had. Had 1 or 5 of them.
The music was so notable we asked what the playlist was and it turned out the manager created it. We now follow “DK tunes.” He was nice enough to come over and introduce himself, too. 10/10 experience. We’ll be back very soon.
decent...close to hotel...pizza next door was better
Hadn’t been for 3 or 4 years. Forgot how great the food and service is here. And it’s such a laid back, comfortable spot. My steak was divine, calamari was as good as I’ve had in any Italian restaurant and drinks were well poured. Going to be back soon!
From a place from which we could expect a good meal and a nice time, District Kitchen has lost the plot. The food was average at best, service was disinterested, and the set up amateurish (is it that hard to have salt and pepper on each table)? Needless to say we will won’t be back.
The food was delicious, the portions generous and the fix price dinner was a great value. I will return!!
District Kitchen is an awesome experience of culinary diversity in its menu and quaint but elegant design in its atmosphere. The service is very responsive and accommodating. The Creekstone Breakfast Brisket was insanely delicious.
I was very pleasantly surprised at the taste of the food and the price of the Happy Hour drinks. Great!
Would probably recommend. We ordered the fish special which was just okay. Would expect the special to be something more exciting. Waiter forgot to return our credit card.
Had a wonderful time. The staff was outstanding - welcoming, attentive, and warm. Had the perfect spot for a party of six, with a great table in a front nook that allowed everyone to see/talk/share food with each other. Our party was very pleased with the experience!
Had family in from out of town so we wanted to get something close to their hotel in Woodley Park. Never heard of this restaurant but gave it a chance. Everyone loved their meals. Burger, Salmon, Creme Brulee, Mac n Cheese and Steak Frites all received great reviews from out table.
Came here with a large group for a work dinner. Everyone loved the food, drinks and service. We had a great time and enjoyed the restaurant!
Favorite spot in the District!
Their pork chop is excellent and a great value. Three of us had it for dinner. The 4th had the shrimp and grits and apparently it was very good as it disappeared quickly. If your meal doesn't come with the balsamic roasted brussel sprouts, don't hesitate to get some as a side. And the salads are lovely and large enough to share. We had two appetizers as well and both were so tasty. They have a good wine selection, the restaurant is quiet and attractive, so conducive to good conversation. And the service was attentive. I'll definitely go back. Perhaps in slightly warmer weather to use their nice deck.
Was excited to try their brunch as I had a decent experience with dinner there. While the ambience and service were very nice, the food was quite bland. The eggs with my steak and eggs actually tasted a bit...soapy? No one was thrilled with the meal. I want to like this place but not sure if I'll be back.
It’s a relatively small menu, but within our party of nine, we ordered a good sampling of the the options on it and every single item was very, very good. It’s got a nice, neighborhood feel that can be either “dressed up or down” depending on the occasion, and the service was warm and accommodating. We will be back!
Excellent neighborhood bistro near the Zoo. Came by for a casual dinner. Highlights were the burgers and the outstanding fries. also enjoyed the roasted Brussels sprouts. Good value for money.
I will plan to go again - food and location were great
This was our first experience dining here. The ambiance was fantastic (music, lighting, tables, space, etc.) and the service started out great. However, as they got busier, we had to flag a server to take our entrees away, ask about desert and bring us our check. On the plus-side, they are completely wheelchair accessible (entrance - ramp provided - and restrooms). We will definitely go back again!
