The food was excellent; I very much enjoyed both my salads, the buratta and the roasted beet. Everyone else in our party ordered a burger, and all said they were very good. We were staying at a nearby hotel on a holiday weekend, and it was quiet in the restaurant. At other times it might have been livelier. Our group was 7 people aged 3 1/2 to 85 and everybody was happy.
We dine here at least once a month.
Enjoy the food and the service.
Nice atmosphere. Food was good. Menu could have been a little more extensive. Service was good. Would return to this place on future visits
Absolutely amazing service and the food was fantastic!!
Lovely evening and great service!
The food was plentiful and good quality, r
Fabulous and friendly server. Loved the tuna appetizer! Phenomenal. Thanks for working so hard 😊
Met a friend for lunch. Enjoyed eating in the outdoor area out front. Didn’t even notice cars on noise. Interesting meal choices but limited. Food and service were both excellent. I’ll be back!
Pretty quiet for a Saturday night. Food sounded more promising than delivered.
Very good food and ambience for the price, the price fixe menu is a nice deal.
They were overwhelmed during the lunch rush and likely short-staffed.
Service was outstanding. First time visit. Very happy with food. Local neighborhood feel.
Great experience and service
We indicated it was a birthday in making the reservation but there was utterly no acknowledgement of that.
Of note also: 2/3 of the way through the meal a waitperson walking past our table suddenly lunged toward us and stomped his foot as if to squash something under our table. He did it twice, while we (the diners) drew back in surprise and concern. He said nothing to us, and went on back to the kitchen. We were taken aback and lost much of our interest in eating the rest of our food.
If the waiter so routinely stomped on insects or rodents under the tables of the restaurant that it didn’t merit a comment or explanation, that is troubling. No one at the table finished their main course but that drew no comment either from the wait staff.
I don’t think we will be back.
We went on a very quiet night. Only a few diners so we opted for inside away from street noise, although there is covered outdoor seating. Attractive brick-walled interior with low lighting, tablecloths, and quality glassware and cutlery. Service was good - they were trying hard. Our food and wine was served quickly and nicely presented. Loved the spicy calamari as an appetizer.
District Kitchen is a cute little restaurant. The staff was kind and attentive. Other than us, there were two other parties inside and two outside. The issue we had was solely with the food. We went for breakfast and had the salmon and chicken sandwich. The sandwich was good and the side salad it came with was absolutely delicious, the salad was the best thing we had for breakfast. The salmon was just horrid. The salmon was raw & undercooked. The eggs have some kind of sauce that is extremely salty. The best part about the salmon was the tater tots.
Good food and great service.
Wonderful food, and Excellent service
Went for Saturday brunch. Sat outside where makeshift tents provide cover from the sun and set off a dinning area of about 10 tables. Servers were friendly and attentive. The bottomless mimosas were truly bottomless, with the server often leaving a pitcher or two (depending on which varieties you were drinking) at the table. The food was excellent, with my favorite dish having been the Burrata salad, which featured amazingly fresh and creamy mozzarella and a perfectly reduced balsamic drizzle. The real surprise, which worked extremely well, was a hint of mint as a few fresh leaves were used along with fresh basil.
First time there and I will definitely return!
Wait staff didn't come out much - we had to ask for napkins four times before we got them. We did the bottomless brunch and didn't get refills until we went inside and asked for them so.. not quite bottomless unless you keep leaving your table to find wait staff.
Our server Maya was so attentive… great experience and great food. Amazing brunch. Thank you Maya!!
It was a great experience and the good was delicious.
Mia and the rest of the staff were nothing short of fantastic. The food was delicious and was only bested by the customer service. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet intimate setting with amazing grub and outstanding service.
Excellent eggs benedict over crabcake. Unfortunately, the group next to us was quite loud and spoiled the experience. Also the kitchen and wait service was very slow.
Went to brunch with friends the food was fantastic and servers were so sweet!
Fun and a great atmosphere
The venue is nicely set up but unfortunately, the food was not very good. The only items that were good were the French fries. The medium rare steak that was ordered was more rare, but not really enjoyable as it seemed like a cheap cut of steak. It was rubbery and difficult to cut. Our waitress was very friendly and provided decent service, but she was extremely busy because she was working the entire restaurant.
Service was great sat outside & my server she was amazing
The bottomless brunch was amazing! Lots of food and mimosas for a great price. Will definitely come again!
Nice tents outside. Staff friendly and accommodating
The food was good, but not great. The service was great. I hope to try again.
Great meal and fun at District Kitchen again. They have a great outdoor seating area in the Woodley Park community. We go a few times a month for lunch and love their chicken sandwiches. The Salmon Toast and Calamari were very good also. You must try their gin martinis – I start craving these which leads to us heading back for lunch. The waitress we also ask for is Maia and she’s personable, knowledgeable and provides amazing service. Prices are very reasonable. District Kitchen is definitely a Gem of a Restaurant in Woodley Park.
To be fair , I think they only had one server on a Friday night. That being said, the food was just average for the price. Would not return.
Love this place! Great food, good atmosphere, and the staff are nice!
Everything was well-prepared from the salad to entree and creme brulee pie dessert, unique and delicious. Great service from Maia.
The server was excellent.
So many good things to say about this place! Great location, friendly hostess/waitress, accommodating with the menu, safety measures for COVID... All good things! I went for the prix fixe brunch with bottomless mimosas; I was very satisfied with everything. I would definitely go back.
I absolutely loved this spot. The food was great! The music was great! I highly recommend.
The food was spectacular. This is an informal place where where the food really is the star and deservedly so. Rarely have I ever had a better meal.
