Vietnamese
District III features modern yet authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a casual, stylish environment, catering to the lunch and dinner crowds at Avalon. The menu originates from the owner and chef's parents' hometown in Vietnam — a district called “District III,” once known as a French colonial inspired town. District III's goal is for guests to identify with the food as “immediately changing the city’s Vietnamese dining paradigm.” It features a menu like nothing Alpharetta has seen before.

Been to District III a coupe of times now and the food is outstanding. The staff was friendly but the service was simply awful. Woefully understaffed when the restaurant filled up. We got our table at 630p, order was taken promptly and meal was brought promptly. As stated, all the food was excellent. However, we waited for about 30 mins for the server to come back to the table to check on us, refill drinks and pick up plates…it never happened. We had planned to order desert and another round of drinks but after 30 mins of waiting we simply gave up. I finally had to go to the bar and ask the extremely busy bartender for my check so I could pay and depart. The servers were working hard but there were only 3 on the floor, including bartender trying to help, and the place was packed. I know hiring people is difficult right now, but the way it was going, it easily could have been an hour before anyone could get free enough to check on our table. Disappointing service.

My family loves Vietnamese food and District III did not disappoint! The appetizers and entrees were depositors!

love the pad Thai and the lychee martini!! My favorites! Just remember to order entrees after you've eaten your appetizers. You'll feel rushed if you don't.

Food was great but , ambiance was not exciting and despite not busy service was not good at all
They didn’t bring stuff what we ask for didn’t even offer a dessert and just bring the check . They didn’t even put enough serving wear for our table .
So overall experience was ok

We were seated 1/2 hour after reservation time. Staff was pleasant but just busy and inattentive. Dinners didn’t come out at same time, forgot drinks, waters not refilled, cleanup and chairs being moved around us while still eating. The food was absolutely delicious but service needed some help.
