Frequent visitor to DC. Wasn’t up to par today. Felt rushed during lunch. Member of loyalty club for many years - not I need the treats after lunch, there was no acknowledgement of being a loyalty member.

Disappointing this time. I've dined here many times and it's always been good to very good. I frequently get the fish and chips, and it is usually exceptional - big pieces, perfectly fried, flaky and tender. I got the fish and chips this time, and it was awful - small pieces, tasted like fish skin, somewhat tough perhaps because overcooked, didn't taste fresh. I don't know if they switched types of fish, fish suppliers, the recipe or what - but it was a huge let down. I would have complained, but that would have been awkward for a business lunch. My lunch companion also got the fish and chips, and I was embarrassed I had recommended it. I'll go back, but I doubt I'll get the fish and chips again.

Party of 6 - every menu item received - aside from the pretzel roll - was unsatisfactory.

My Wife and I were in DC to do the average tourist visits. After a full day at Arlington cemetery and the Mall area, we were exhausted. We did want to have a nice dinner, as our anniversary was this same week. District Commons provided exactly what we were looking for. The Food was spot on, and our server was as vibrant as anyone could be. Ross was over the top compared to the servers we have experienced at other restaurants. We live on a very tight budget, and dining at a quality restaurant is a rarity. We have been extremely disappointed at times when we explore a restaurant normally outside of our budget. When I pay premium pricing for a steak, I expect it to be as good as or better than I cook at home. This time was not disappointing at all. We sincerely Wish to thank the fine individuals at District Commons for our dining experience.

Nice place to have dinner before a show at the Kennedy Center. The shuttle is right around the corner, so very convenient. It did take quite a while for our main dishes to come out, but other than that, no complaints. Get the pork shank stroganoff, you won't regret it!

Third dinner here and it was excellent! Brussels sprouts salad and mussels in limoncello sauce were outstanding! As was the very rich chocolate cake. And great service too. A fun place and delicious dinner before a show at the Kennedy Center!

Booked a last minute table for lunch. The greeter took some time to seat us. My wife is very pregnant now and we needed a table with extra room, there was some confusion & we didn’t receive menus either for a while. That was the worst part of our brunch, smooth sailing afterwards. Our waitress was a very pleasant and fully capable middle-aged lady, I wish I remembered her name because of her excellent service. The food was delicious & there were quite a few vegetarian options my wife & mother chose. The baba ghanoush flatbread, mushroom truffle pasta, fries, & potato hash were great. I got the Louisiana omelette with triple X hot sauce, it was melt in your mouth good. Desert was a brownie sundae, decadent to say the least. I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

We went on a Saturday and the menu is a brunch menu. Food was excellent - especially the cinnamon sugar pretzel baguette. They have bottomless bloody Mary’s and mimosas for brunch too. Our server, Johnny was excellent.

Very good American style Resteraunt but very noisy bar scene on a Friday night. Hard to have a conversation anywhere near the bar and noisy everywhere else. I had the duck that was excellent and highly recommended. Fried oysters a little bready but nice as well. There was a valet sign outside but no valet in sight. You can also park in the garage underneath on 22nd street for $11 but you need to go down 23rd or 21st and approach from 22nd street because it is one way headed north.

Food, atmosphere and service were all exceptional. My only complaint was the ladies bathroom was horrible. Someone needs to check in and maintain more often.

So loud we couldn’t hear each other across the table on a Thursday evening at 6. Meatloaf, rib “burger”, and crab cake were all very dry. “Burger” was TINY and WAY overpriced for what we got: barely appetizer sized but sold and priced as an entree. Everything seemed expensive in general. Shrimp cocktail was bland and at the edge of being firm/fresh. Red mussels were fine but only 3 small pieces of chorizo which didn’t impart much flavor to the gallon of broth in which the mussels were served. Rockfish nicely cooked with crispy skin, but served with a HUGE pile of lettuce as a side - just make this a salad entree with something more than lettuce and 6 cherry tomatoes or re-think the side. Overall don’t need to return.

The server was great as were all four meals that were ordered. Portions were reasonable for the cost and they all were very flavorful. It is a place where you need to try everything on the menu at least once.

I loved the service but the food was absolutely tasteless. I even suggested to my boyfriend to talk to the cook and see why they don't make their food with love. We were super hungry but still couldn't finish our dinner. We complained to the server and he was very kind and sweet to offer if we would like something else but at that point we didn't want any food from that place.

Management please taste your meatloaf and salmon dish (which we ordered) and tell me if that is how it should taste. Thanks and hope you look into providing better and more delicious food.

Tables were too close to conduct discussions. Prices are high relative to price and quantity. Service was excellent.

The overall experience was greater that we had anticipated! Everyone was genuinely pleased with how well everything went, the only downfall was that our table was seated next to the restroom although it was nice and secluded that was the only thing that was a little dissatisfying. Everyone was seated in a timely manner and there was even valet parking which made it even better. Our server Ross was the best at making us laugh and everyone feel welcome. My boyfriend enjoyed his friend's company and all the food for his birthday weekend celebration! I would definitely go visit sometime soon! And booking it through open table was really convenient.

We ate at District Common before going to the Kennedy Center. Completing the meal in the 90 minutes we allotted was difficult. It took forever to get our drinks and we ran out of time to get desert. It appeared that they have too few waiters to handle demand. I also find it annoying that it charges for bread. Not a go to restaurant for my money.

Food was very good. Waiter was attentive. Mimosa tasted off (but for $5 wasn't expecting great). Enjoyed breakfast quesadilla. Love the xxx salsa! My friend seemed to enjoy her quinoa & Portobello dish as well as her bloody marys.

Fabulous daily catch, and shrimp cocktail was delicious- waitress was fine but bar service was very slow due to bar crowd and lack of prioritizing dinner guests. We will return happily because the fish was stellar!

My colleague clearly indicated she has a tree nut allergy to our server. I also requested a salad with dressing on the side. Neither request was satisfied. The more problematic one, the allergy, was raised to our server who did not address with any degree of concern or energy. While the manager did attend to the situation, and provided this entree at no charge, it was a disappointing experience. With other good options close by, I will not return.

Unfortunately, we were pretty rushed after getting to the restaurant late and trying to make a showtime. But they got us seated immediately, and the waiter did an excellent job of getting everything out quickly and was attentive, even on a busy Saturday night. We didn't get to try everything I would have liked, so we are definitely planning to go back!
