Professional Chefs, both Student & Staff.

District 21 is the final stop for Francis Tuttle Culinary students on the path to a professional career. Students who work in the on-campus restaurant are passionate about seeking a profession in the industry and are looking for real-world experience to prepare them for that future job.

Each of our professional chefs who work in the kitchen with students has at least over a decade of experience in the field, and some have multiple decades. Jason Marsh and Bill Leib have worked in a variety of culinary settings: restaurants, hotels, and catering businesses for events with thousands of people in attendance. They also bring a love of various cuisines and cooking styles, from Chef Bill’s Asian cuisine specialty to Chef Jason’s enjoyment of Southern Style cooking. They construct a curriculum with the District 21 menu in mind, ensuring a variety of experiences and flavors for both student chefs and dining patrons.

Overall, it was a nice experience. I had the grouper and it was delicious. My husband had the short ribs and he didn’t care for the dish in general. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse cake and cinnamon roll with crème brûlée topping. Both were delicious and the French press coffee was good too.

Nice ambience. Surprised there wasn’t white table cloth. Bread basket looks fresh but not warm bread. Oversize plate didn’t go well with table setting and beed short ribs and Pork entree r basically shredded meat dishes that r edible but make us fill like they r fulfilling the food cost; For $32 I was expecting a piece of luscious red meat(not shredded meat on tostadas). Perhaps more QC from the F&B team but not bad for a student ran operation. 🤷‍♂️

We went for our anniversary and were the only people there. The food was delicious. The service was great. I had birria short ribs, and my wife had roasted chicken. I had the mixed greens but would get the Mediterranean salad next time. The Neapolitan mousse was delicious, and they made some gooey butter cookies. I would definitely go again.

Love coming here. Got to taking my MIL who came up from Sulphur to experience this and she loved it all.

We loved the Valentine Dinner experience. They had a mocktail, relish tray, and the BEST filet mignon ever ver!! The filet was so tender, it melted in your mouth!! A very enjoyable experience

Best food that I have had. Ever. I had te margarita pizza. The lamb and creme bruley. All 5 star.

We enjoyed our meal, as usual. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. The menu changes frequently so there’s always something new to try. Enjoyable evening.

A nice experience, they need to work on teaching the servers a bit, miss the former staff. A 3 course meal at an affordable price.
