Great experience!!! Amazing service!! Our waiter was great 👍 A+++
We were there following Dad's magnificent performance at the Wooden Nickel last Saturday night. First good sign: I had made a reservation for 4, two more joined us, and they were able to accommodate us even though the place was jammed. Food was its usual excellent, service the same, and when the bill came, I was shocked to find it about $25 more than I had paid 2 nights ago at a good restaurant for a dinner for two people!!! Value is very good. We are now regulars.
Way too loud for comfortable conversation. Tables too close together. Food was fabulous and so was the wait staff.
First time - great food and service! Will come back - Ann
Everything was great but it was loud, sitting in a booth helped!
This is a great cozy restaurant with Delicious Food.
Great food! Great service!!
we dine at Disotto often....great food and service and ambiance.
First time eating here and atmosphere, food and service was really good. The server named Justin was very attentive and did a great job.
Disotto is our new favorite restaurant. The regular menu is excellent and there are always interesting specials. The service is professional and attentive. Management is circulating throughout the dining room making sure that no detail has been missed. Disotto has become our go to place!
Good food but service was rushed and server hovered over our table so that we would leave and so they could seat another party.
They first seated us in the basement which was a horrible experience. We were a table for 2 seated with 2 large parties of about 10 people each. It was so loud we only lasted a few minutes. I love the restaurant but will not ever sit down in the basement.
I went to Disotto 4 days after spending 8 days in Italy where I had pasta every lunch and dinner. I had calcio e pepe and it compared favorably. The house Cabernet Sauvignon was good and a good vale. My companion had spaghetti with meatballs and liked it very much. I was struck by the warm, human greeting and service, pasta to stand up to anywhere, and thus excellent value. It will be a go-to Italien restaurant, I now have only 2 in the suburbs.
Don’t love the menu changes.
Very very nice! We went early so the noise level was at a minimum! The food was delicious! The ambiance was delightful! Our server was excellent
I made a reservation for 7pm on a Friday and we were there 5 minutes before. The host sat the people
whom just walked in and didn't even have a reservation. After waiting 20 minutes, I complained and then
we were seated. Food was mediocre at best. Too oily and salty, spicy when the menu did not say anything about hot peppers. The steamed muscle was not fresh. The pizza looked like frozen pizza. In reality you can get better frozen pizzas. The wine list was short.
Delicious food, wonderful service! Noise level very high!
Disotto is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants ... we always have excellent food and attentive service ... Thanks!
There was 5 of us but we had2 kids and 1 was in a high chair , they were so nice to the kids! And offered ice cream to the kids. It was their parents anniversary, they brought champagne to the table. Great place!!
Was seated in wine cellar level. Service was fantastic. Food was delicious. Quiet except for a big party of women celebrating a birthday. Much more relaxing than the tumult in the upper level restaurant.
Great evening and dinner was amazing! Thanks for the wonderful service!!
They make a killer martini! The service and atmosphere was outstanding. Our kale and brussel sprout appetizer was wonderful. My chicken was very ordinary and needed color. It looked like boiled chicken.
The food was all delicious but we did wait quite some time for the waiter to take our orders. Also, the noise level isn’t “energetic,” it’s more like loud as a rock concert- I had to scream at the person next to me just so they could hear me
The risotto looks & tastes like oatmeal. Dishes are drenched in heavy sauce. Loud, crowded, line for bathroom. Service is fast tho and food comes out hot.
The chicken meal was greasy and flavorless. The salmon was tasty and cooked perfectly.
Food was fantastic, service excellent, I’ll be bavk
I went on weekday food was good...went on the weekend, ordered the same thing food wasn’t good
Food, Service and ambiance are all very good.
Lots of people and local food spot
Great food! Hostesses were very kind!
A neighborhood gem. Outstanding food and friendly service.
We picked this restaurant because they have gluten-free pasta for our grandson. We were a party of six with two children. it was Saturday night and the noise level was quite high. Scott our waiter was exceptionally accommodating for both our adult grandson and the two young children. All of our selections were delicious. The eggplant parmesan was not listed as an entree, but was very good and more than enough. We will surely return.
Lovely room in cellar
Server helpful and passionate about restaurant
Will go back for sure
Great food and service! We were downstairs where I was told it is usually not as loud, omg it was sooo loud!!
We sat in the lower level and Justin was our server. We enjoyed the Brussel Sprouts appetizer, with our Vicchiomaggio Chianti C, Menebrea Blonda Italian Beer beverages. Our main courses were Cavatelli, Gnocchi, and Liguine Di Mare. We topped it off with Flourless Chocolate Cake!
Service was very good--attentive and informative The noise level was manageable for most of our meal as we dined at 6:15p, however by the time we left, the room was full and difficult to hear each other as some larger groups. We did very much enjoy all of the courses served, and will return, although we might request dining in main dining room based on day of week and time of day.
Fabulous pasta dishes and great servers (esp Michael and Katie!)
Sat outside on a Sunday afternoon and had great service and great food. Nice spot to check out in Highwood. Justin the bartender and server was awesome
We t on our anniversary and requested a table upstairs. They were 45 min late to sit us and asked us to go downstairs.
Restaurant overall was very noisy
We enjoyed the small outside patio blocked in by beautiful flowers- unfortunately they do little to block out the train noises, but that's part of the charm of Highwood. Disotto's menu has nice variety. We loved our brussel sprouts (nice and crispy) and pizza appetizer. The white fish was good, not great. The hamburger was better than the fish. Waiter was attentive. Very nice place for a dinner with friends.
Very pleasant outdoor dining. My companion and I shared the Burrata and tomato appetizer (very fresh) and each had a pasta dish. Mine was the pasta with seafood, which was excellent. I definitely would go back.
