The chicken meal was greasy and flavorless. The salmon was tasty and cooked perfectly.
Food was fantastic, service excellent, I’ll be bavk
I went on weekday food was good...went on the weekend, ordered the same thing food wasn’t good
Food, Service and ambiance are all very good.
Lots of people and local food spot
Great food! Hostesses were very kind!
A neighborhood gem. Outstanding food and friendly service.
We picked this restaurant because they have gluten-free pasta for our grandson. We were a party of six with two children. it was Saturday night and the noise level was quite high. Scott our waiter was exceptionally accommodating for both our adult grandson and the two young children. All of our selections were delicious. The eggplant parmesan was not listed as an entree, but was very good and more than enough. We will surely return.
Lovely room in cellar
Server helpful and passionate about restaurant
Will go back for sure
Great food and service! We were downstairs where I was told it is usually not as loud, omg it was sooo loud!!
We sat in the lower level and Justin was our server. We enjoyed the Brussel Sprouts appetizer, with our Vicchiomaggio Chianti C, Menebrea Blonda Italian Beer beverages. Our main courses were Cavatelli, Gnocchi, and Liguine Di Mare. We topped it off with Flourless Chocolate Cake!
Service was very good--attentive and informative The noise level was manageable for most of our meal as we dined at 6:15p, however by the time we left, the room was full and difficult to hear each other as some larger groups. We did very much enjoy all of the courses served, and will return, although we might request dining in main dining room based on day of week and time of day.
Fabulous pasta dishes and great servers (esp Michael and Katie!)
Sat outside on a Sunday afternoon and had great service and great food. Nice spot to check out in Highwood. Justin the bartender and server was awesome
We t on our anniversary and requested a table upstairs. They were 45 min late to sit us and asked us to go downstairs.
Restaurant overall was very noisy
We enjoyed the small outside patio blocked in by beautiful flowers- unfortunately they do little to block out the train noises, but that's part of the charm of Highwood. Disotto's menu has nice variety. We loved our brussel sprouts (nice and crispy) and pizza appetizer. The white fish was good, not great. The hamburger was better than the fish. Waiter was attentive. Very nice place for a dinner with friends.
Very pleasant outdoor dining. My companion and I shared the Burrata and tomato appetizer (very fresh) and each had a pasta dish. Mine was the pasta with seafood, which was excellent. I definitely would go back.
Food was good. Service was good. Ambience was ok but it was extremely noisy. Hard to communicate across the table. Still, we enjoyed it.
Love Disotto! I think we've had Grace as our server every time we've been there--she is warm, friendly, attentive, and always assists us in making the perfect food or wine choices! The food is always delicious, and the atmosphere comfortable and inviting (even sitting outside on a somewhat chilly night--the heaters were set to a perfect temperature)! This has quickly become one of my very favorites.
Great food love the patio dining.
Food and service was very good.
Just friends. Waitress very friendly/helpful. She was able to get me a side salad instead of full salad tho they are not on menu.
Never had a bad meal here. It is a good place to go if you are not up to cooking dinner. Service is prompt and our server was very congenial.
Excellent food, beautifully prepared, with delicious flavors. Service was spotty and not attentive enough. We had to request napkins and flatware, had to request more bread, more water. When we asked the busboy to clean an oil spill on the table after clearing the plates, he left it very wet so couldn't touch the table without getting wet, yuck. Also it took a long time to find the waiter for our check. Definitely not a stellar service showing for a venue of this type.
Terrific food, knowledgeable wait staff. Pasta dishes very creative - tough to decide which to try. Very good restaurant, will go back. My review noted the noise level as quiet, we were there on a Sunday evening towards closing time and most of the other diners were out on the patio, so not too many others in the dining room. Still, I don't see this as a noisy restaurant in any event.
Great evening! Delicious food in a lovely outdoor setting - servers and bartender were friendly and made sure we were taken care of.
Food was excellent, server Michael was very good and surprised us with a birthday sundae. Seating was not great. At high top near server station. Although it was quieter than being in the middle of the restaurant.
Excellant in everyday:) food outstanding location outstanding service outstanding thank you
A great place. Love the food. But recommend to go on a week night. Early. The noise level is high. Especially on a weekend.
We enjoyed our time but felt as though we got an attitude from our server because we chose to not order any wine or drinks. The food was delicious and we did not feel rushed which was also very nice. We also thought maybe our server was having a tough night. Sometimes that happens, but we would visit again.
We had a reservation at 7, but got there at 6:15. We sat at a booth and were the only occupied table. We ordered a bottle of wine and barely tasted it before we were asked three times if we wanted an appetizer. Still not half way done with our first glass and the salad showed up. We split the salad and we did not even finish our salads and main course arrived. Clearly the waitress just wanted to turn the table.
Not enjoyable way to eat.
Excellent food. Consistently great service.
The food is always great as is the service.
All four of us would give our meals an A+!
I had the Faroe Island salmon with vegetables, and it was perfectly cooked and very special.
I will not hesitate to return to Disotto - the food is really excellent, and it has a relaxed and casual atmosphere.
This is our favorite place in Highwood IL. The food is always great and the ambiance is very old school and homey.
Birthday celebration so we got great table and great service.
Love the food. Friendly staff. Great service. Tues night isn’t as crowded. A favorite place of ours❗️
My. Salmon was served rare as requested. My husband enjoyed his steak tartare and bruschetta. I preferred the complimentary focacci.
As always Disotto did not disappoint .... I took friends there for the first time for them and they were very impressed with everything.
Great pasta and pizza choices
I liked it. It is owned by Francesca's ( my favorite place) but its a little different using sustainable produce. Prices were not cheap but I thought you got fair value. The staff was good and efficient
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant, gets a bit noisy but food and service are exceptional
