Read reviews that rated this place high however, it was far from our expectations. Buffet was just ok with chicken not fully cooked. Eggs ordered to cook came from buffet and were not fresh. Pancakes came out burnt. Coke was watered down and one person never got their coffee. Just a so so place
Great food. Good service. A little loud. Overall good experience. Food is above average.
Nice place. Food and service was great!
Good food, good location. Somewhat small menu. Tables felt a bit cramped.
The food was overall good, but we had to continuously ask for coffee and service was slow. We also didn’t get all our food at once and had to tell the server what we were missing. Our missing food was brought shortly after.
Don't believe the menu online. Other than the side salad, there are no vegetarian dishes.
More of a bar than restaurant. Food was ok and fairly priced. Server wasn’t very friendly. I would try again if there weren’t other options available.
Will not be back - poor quality food poorly made.
We were celebrating my niece 18th birthday and from the moment we walked in, until we left, they made us feel special. Food was amazing and service was exceptional.
Food, service and beverage selection great and reasonably priced. Fried chicken and fried pickles, exceptional. Great Bourbon drinks and selection. Check it out!!!!
Food was delicious and so nice to be able to walk from our hotel. Hands down the best part of the experience was our wonderful server jolie. She was so kind to the 5 little kids in our big group and treated them with such compassion and care. She learned all of their names and even added some special syrup to their sprites to make them special. Such a treat to the four parents in our group.
Tomorrow is my nieces wedding. Tonight we dined at Dish on Main and it was delightful. We had chosen it for breakfast also which was equally good. The mint julep's were exceptional, the food was delicious and plentiful and the atmosphere was conducive to a family event
Staff was courteous and very accommodating. A good value.
The food was fantastic. We brought both of our kids, ages 13 and 10, who are somewhat picky eaters with opposite tastes. The lovely waitress helped create plates that both enjoyed.
Really liked the atmosphere and look of the place, felt rustic and small. Appreciated that they accepted a large reservation as all places don't and gave us close seating--we were also happy to be seated right away. It did take us a while to get our food, but it was a big group. I wish they had notified us about the required gratuity when we made the reservation, not because we didn't plan on tipping but it would have been better for me to tell everyone ahead of time in case they had a financial boundary. Someone in our party had found a bug in her to go box which was not ideal, but our waitress promptly replaced it and was attentive to us throughout the duration of our meal. Most of us enjoyed our food, their breakfast options were the best overall but I cannot speak on the dinner options. I think the atmosphere was what I enjoyed most.
Good food and great service. We had a party of 8 and we were seated and treated like family. The mamosas taste great!
I had the burger and sweet potato fries- both were wonderful! The pepper jelly on the burger added a great taste (who would have thought?). Our server was very attentive to all our needs and the food arrived promptly and hot. I’ll be back!
Food was fantastic (we had their Bourbon BBQ Burger, Reuben, and potato salad), atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was very helpful. We watched as they went out of their way to help another customer with food allergy issues choose menu items.
Great buffet and fresh omelette and sweets.
Food was good, service was good. The exterior front looked a bit dirty, had us a little worried. But food was good and had a good time.
Great location on Whiskey Row in Louisville. The bar is fun and the food is good. Had the Avocado toast, but probably should have gone with the brunch buffet. Not much Avocado on in the dish. It was tasty, but wanted more of the green stuff. Server missed my additional request for a side. Been there 3 or 4 times and always was great. This is the first time I did not sit at the bar.
Located in downtown so parking was difficult. The price was reasonable but the food was just ok. Do not recommend the avocado toast as it was just sliced avocado on top of some toast topped with a couple eggs.
Read some great reviews online about this place and it did not disappoint. We sat at the bar and had top notch service. They do a great brunch buffet on Sat & Sun. and it's a steal for $15 per person. They have a made to order omelet station, fresh fruit and salad bar, but they also have staples of eggs, sausage, bacon and cheesy hashbrowns. But they also have biscuits and gravy, grits and the best fried chicken. Sometimes fried chicken ends up very dry and/or very greasy. This fried chicken was neither of them. Additionally, they have some of the best bourbons (read: rare) on the market and their prices are very reasonable. If their breakfast buffet was this good, I can't wait to try their lunch and dinner options!!!
Very tasty! Limited wine list- casual
Jolie our server was outstanding! Thank you for asking our names and then using them whole we were dining. You were terrific!
Only table served and had to unlock door at 8:00 AM
We had a great time at Dish on Market. I would like to see a couple of true vegan options. My husband didn't have much choice in what he could eat. But otherwise a GREAT experience.
Food was pretty good, buffet a good value ($14 adults, $7 for kids), but the ambiance left a lot to be desired. Not what I was expecting from other reviews. Wouldn’t re-visit.
The food was below average and it’s a best up, dark restaurant. The server was great but the breakfast food took forever and the omelet was cold and burnt. Do not recommend.
Based on other reviews we were expecting more than we got. The menu was limited and the food we ordered was adequate at best.
There were 8 of us for Sunday brunch. I recommend getting a reservation if you are planning a gathering of this many because of the cozy layout of the dining areas. Our space was in the balcony and very comfortable.
The food was delicious, especially the Hot Brown casserole. The only native Kentuckian in the group had 3 helpings!!
The service was so accommodating. We were celebrating a 1st wedding anniversary. The servers got us small plates, forks, and a knife so the anniversary couple could cut the top layer of the wedding cake and share it with the table.
We will certainly return whenever we come back to downtown Louisville. A couple dining next to us said it is their go-to restaurant.
I highly recommend Dish's fried chicken! It is a large portion and yummy!
Good food. Nice servers and staff. They messed up my order.
A great place for breakfast on a lazy Sunday morning. Food and service were fantastic. I’d suggest booking a table on weekend mornings as there were a lot of folks who didn’t have reservations waiting for a table when we arrived. We all ordered off the menu but there was a buffet that looked really good as well.
We went during the weekend for brunch. You could have the buffet or order from the menu. They had made to order omelets on the buffet, which really made it worth the price. The server was very pleasant. The buffet options were very good, again making the cost of the buffet very reasonable.
Food is average, cute place. Service is good but it was overkill while they were training a server, excessive hovering. Fish was greasy, slaw drowning in dressing. My friend had turkey club which he said was good. Very large group of boisterous men sat next to us. We could not have a conversation without yelling.
They were out of five or 6 different items on the menu as well as one of their taps. The worst part of the night though was when I ordered a $7 bourbon and the waiter said I had to try a different one (much better) that was close to the same price. My mistake my wife says because I trusted him. It turned out to be $16. To make it worse he actually said he took $1 off. Last when we left I noticed the $14 burger he sold me was on special that day for $8. What the heck!
We enjoyed the food. The waitress did a great job. My only complaint was they had us upstairs. I had two people with me who had difficulty with stairs. In addition, the steps were a little steep and the floor wasn't really designed for those in heels. My niece, who is in her late 20's almost slipped and fell twice. I am not sure what can be done about this, but I would think something should be before someone does get hurt.
Other than that, we had a great time. I would visit again, but only if I am not seated upstairs.
Charming place. There were several groups of regulars that made their way in while we were there. That is always a good sign in my book. The food was very good and the staff were great! Prices were very reasonable. I just recommended the restaurant to a friend who is in town and she had a similar experience.
The service was great and the staff were very accommodating. I had the shrimp and grits, grits were very good but the shrimp was overcooked. It was Thurby so we were glad to find a restaurant without a wait.
