   I would never go to this place again. I’ve never written a review before but this time I felt necessary. Food was fine but not worth it…had to ask several times for our drinks and just table water. Server never asked if we wanted another cocktail…. I had to ask 3 times just for another glass of water for the table …. Never got it Apps showed up before drinks served …. Don’t waste your time or $. I understand island time .. but this was just…. Again, not worth it…. Sorry to write a bad review. I put myself through college waiting tables …I always tip 20% or better….no matter … everyone has a bad night ….but tonight ….Couldn’t do it….

   Hands down, the best meal my wife and I have had since arriving on the island! Dis Ole House is a hidden gem that captures the true spirit of Barbados—not just through its warm atmosphere but with every bite. I had the lamb with mashed potatoes and carrots—perfectly seasoned and tender. My wife couldn't stop raving about the catch of the day (barracuda), paired with flavorful rice and sweet plantains. To top it all off, we were blessed with the sounds of live music that made the evening unforgettable. If you're in Barbados, don't miss this spot—it’s soul food with an island heartbeat.

   Highly recommend! The atmosphere is unbelievable, you feel like you are in a whimsical garden. The food is amazing, flavors so rich and cooked to perfection. Staff is lovely - best food on the island!

   Unfortunately, the options and communication were terrible. Many items on the menu were not available. We waited over an hour for our drinks and over 2 hours for our food. After waiting about an hour and a half, we were told there was no more coconut rice which was a key ingredient in several dishes and they would substitute mashed potatoes. There was a dirty diaper on the ground under our table and we had to call the manager to have someone pick it up. We had to ask for some bread or something after an hour and a half. They did comp the two drinks that we were able to get in our three hours there. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed the venue in the past, this experience has so soured me on the place that I will not be returning, especially when the manager said “all’s well that ends well at the end. No, it did not end well.

   I had read that this was a ‘hidden gem’ and that’s exactly what it is! Such a beautiful restaurant, really great Caribbean food, helpful and friendly staff and 100% worth a visit!

   Love the setting, always enjoy evenings here. Just was a bit disappointed in the food. Feel it was better in previous visits.

    We were here for 2 weeks and this restaurant is wonderful. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. We loved it so much we are going back tonight if we can make a reservation..thanks so much for a wonderful evening with friends and great food!
